  1. If I want to give a NEGATIVE rep to someone that already has a lot of rep, the message comes up: "You must spread some reputation around before giving it to XXXX again" How is this a fair situation? I always rep the new guys. How come I cant NEG REP the big posters?
  2. Hi, I tried it, thanks for the mission! Ran a little choppy too, there seemed to be a lot going on though! I didnt do particularly well so had to RTB after wasting most of my weapons and havent had another chance. Must be a great one for MP!
  3. Viper unfortunately those tracks show misses, guess they are pre1111? Anyway I get the idea, ta.
  4. Thanks Eddy, that looks like some serious classified sh1t. Off to blow some stuff up now with my new CBU powers!
  5. Hey Ive got 4 reps. Wonder how long they will last! bye bye reps!
  6. GGTharos: Be careful, Or the thread police is going to shoot you down! Now listen up you Rookies! Whatever you do DO NOT TURN ON THE FD! It is against your S-O-Ps. You have been warned! Dont even think about it! You will certainly crash without important AP trajectory control of your helicopter! Insert sarcastic smiley here. Sorry I dont do them. Excuse me I'm off to crash some choppers.
  7. What exactly is your role here? I would rather a newbie would come on and get involved than get lost reading through hundreds of pages of posts and then head off again in frustration, scared to ask because some 1000poster will lose his temper.
  8. I do that too! seems completely natural by now. Took a while though...
  9. Yeah I thought it might be a bit far fetched! Thanks for clarifying though!
  10. Oh you took a rep off me. How big of you.
  11. As has been said many times, fly it however you want to. On day 1 of flight school the "cadet" does not learn how to use the autopilot. The "cadet" learns how to fly the aircraft. I have seen many posts by rookies saying why cant we use this.... this is good. "Because we say so" does not cut it. Also I tried to provide a helpful post. Unlike you.
  12. Thanks again Viper, I couldnt watch the track yet as Im "working".
  13. Toss bombing? I would like to see, fly in fast and low, pull up just enough that the trajectory takes the bomb up to HOF where it bursts. By then of course A10 is hauling out of there with its belly in the bushes. Realistic? Sounds like a big ask of the CCRP computer.
  14. Hi, OK read the thread, looks like most people are settliing onto HOF1800 although clearly not that important +/- few hundred feet. But what about RPM? I have seen references to faster and slower RPMs but no actual numbers. Whats a good ballpark? 1, 10, 100, 1000, I literally have no idea.
  15. Thanks Viper....going reading
  16. Is it analog on TMWH? Good suggestion for those of use with under-utilised PoV hat.
  17. Hi, if your new to it or not enjoying the AP functions then try using FD instead, it will give you a much more conventional control that feels a lot more natural to many people. It does mean you will have to fly the thing rather than letting the AP control trajectory, but it feels very natural and is easy to cope with the simple BS systems whilst being hands on with the chopper. Come back to the AP later or on long boring cross country legs where you can enjoy its benefits. Thats what I does.
  18. Can anyone please recommend some good general purpose settings for HOF and RPM. A good starting point anyway?
  19. Yes but you can and probably shoulod drop the Laser guided ones in CCRP as well, you still follow the CCRP ques to get to the correct drop point, its just you will also track the target with the TGP so that the LGB can fine tune its trajectory
  20. Ah good thanks. Was wondering. Wonder why its in the manual, that will teach me to read the instructions!
  21. There is reference to the Pave penny in the manual to do with the HUD displays. from memory something about the pavepenny line heading towards the TISL spider??? I can not recall seeing it in the sim though? is that aspect still used at all??
  22. Sounds chiiiiilllllyyyy, Dont suppose you can get me a job?
  23. Hmm I think I might have confused things by saying "arrows" what I meant were arrows in the sense of a "bow and arrow", the feathers are at the tail end; to me the barbs denoting the wind strength are like the feathers on a tail end of the arrow....not the point bit on a text arrow (-->)... That picture I put up is the Jetstream, that sucker is flowing West to East which is the way the (bow and) arrows are pointing. Same on the key that you put up to my eye... except some of them have a little circle onthe end, but the tail feathers are still at the up wind end of the arrow aren't they.. Right better do some work...
