Is this possible as of now? Because I cannot for the love of god find out how? Thus I have to traverse the whole 200 units before coming back to the one I wanted again hehe. :P

Okay. You cannot actually use the A-10 systems to do this. In RL you or command would call them in over radio. In the ME there is an option to "add radio message" that the user can select. This will set a flag you pick. What you can do is have a "Start SEAD" or something that sets flag 1, and then tell your SEAD flight to perform the "Hold" task with the stop condition that flag 1 is set. This way, they will anchor until you tell them to enter the area and kill the SAM. Naturally, the waypoint after the one with the hold task, you should create a waypoint that has a "EngageGroup" or similar task to kill the SAMs you want.

I find myself firing up the sim a couple times just to check the position of units I've created. By now this has become such a routine that I actually do all the creating first, and when I fire up the sim I write down a list of changes, possibly taking screenshots of the F10 map for later reference. It's quite annoying hehe.

What do you want to do, do you 1. want them to automatically take out any SAMs, or 2. do you want them to wait until you request them over the radio? :)

SA-15 + SA-3. Both engines out. I thought the SAM in my mission had bugged out and did not fire, so I tested them...turned out they worked just fine... Managed to glide her down on an allied base and land safely with manual reversion. Both main gears tires had been blown off, so I had to bring her down on the belly. :)

Yes, this has been pleaded for to no end. But it is known how this would add to the ease of mission editing.

The new random radio effects added to the start and end of transmissions added very much to the immersion on my end. The edited animation and sounds effects for the canopy is also very good. Good Georgian voice overs for self when talking to ATC flying Georgian Ka-50s. I'm not sure if this voice over applies to all other allied Ka-50 pilots, but for a Georgian pilot it works great.

I have also noticed this abrupt change of pitch when pressing the trim button.

That is where LOD levels come in. Explosions the user is unlikely to see is not rendered, or rendered with minimal effects when far away/not zoomed in/not watching in TGP/shkval. :) On the topic of explosions, B25Mitch's video, which is by the way awesome in its glory!, is most likely not rendered in real time, which is what you need for any game. So an implementation of this in the game would have to include a lot of heuristics to reduce processing and thus it has to do a lot to do with optimizing. Plain said: these kinds of explosions/effects in a game are still a few years away. There is no doubt the explosions in ED's games need an overhaul, like many things, but I am sure they will come around to doing it at some point. Seeing as how they are now on steam and everything, I'm sure their market has picked up for them to increase productivity also, adding to their previous genius, of course. ;)

A10 & BS2 missions anyone (request)?

I have been working on a mission for both birds for quite some time and will release this hopefully before the weekend. It includes one section of A-10s and one section of Georgian Army Ka-50s for a total of 4 slots working together in coop in an airfield assault type of scenario. For those of you who enjoyed my other mission High Stakes, you will be happy to know it is a much longer and complex mission with the intention of having the A-10 and Ka-50 pilots working close together to get the mission done. Soon to be posted in the forums and available on the DCS user downloads website. -
When I dropped my CBU-105s, the whole effect started too late and the canisters hit the ground before the skeets even had time to explode. The default 500 ft HOF was too little, I changed it to 1500 ft, worked awesomely killing 3 Mstas and 2 T-80s. :D But you might wanna take a look at the default 500 ft HOF.

They said "updated manual" in the patch notes, so a new manual should be out soon.

Demongornot, no offense or anything, but when seeing your posts I do not want to read them. They are walls of text, you should try tidying up your text into paragraphs, etc., when writing, so people will be more attracted to reading what you are saying! :) On another note, I like Speed's idea. If ED let us mission makers put in our own buildings, treegroups, etc., we could make our own small villages or groups of buildings instead when the terrain is too pale. And yes, I have played BF3, and yes the flight mission sucked bigtime! It cannot even be compared to any flight sim in any way, not even the game flight model of ArmA! -
Hi, I would like to see ground unit weapon preferences being an option in the ME. Just like aerial units, I would like to control whether an abrams will use its main cannon in combat, or just stick to the coaxial or turret mounted gun, or a navy vessel will use tomahawks, or just its deck guns. Also, what is ALARMED STATE that has been introduced with BS2? :) Lost

Can't you just wait for the installer fix? They have said it is coming. The strange thing is you would not complain if they had included a fixed installer with the release, but released it a week later.

I realize now that the point I made earlier with modules similar to ROF would be a trickier task to than for ROF devs, because DCS modules are released with A LOT of more development in between than the ROF modules are.
