Indeed, most turbulence I've noticed while being passenger in small aircraft is prettty much just small jerks of loss of lift, you don't really bump around per se. Thus, I can imagine giving a good impression of this in the sim is quite hard, as the real thing has more to do with your balance organ than what you see or hear.

I don't think any fan could make a fidelity FM nor avionics like ED does, thus making aircraft add-ons for DCS is kinda useless IMO, in that it would bring the focus off their product.

I would seriously get TrackIR before a decent joystick. I used the Microsoft Sidewinder joystick until I got my TMHW for years. Then it took about 2-3 months from I started with DCS until I got my TMHW. TIR is a must in any combat flight sim where you need immediate awareness of your surroundings IMO.

The problem with copy pasting is that you need to know what that you copy depends on in terms of lua other places in the mission file. F ex if you copy a rule that involves group with id 342 then you also have to make a group or rename a group that used id 342. Similar things other places.

That is quite alright. On a more serious note, the series can defenately see some improvements in terms of graphics, but I find it most people here will frown when seeing what you compare DCS to, as it is quite an unrealistic claim that it can be done that easily, if at all. Having said that, from what I can see, ED has aquired a lot of attention from the mainstream gaming market for the last few months, e.g. with the introduction of their games on Steam, which may also mean that they will incrementally address mainstream game features in their next titles, e.g. more eye candy, not to diverge into mainstream gameplay of course. These are only my thoughts, of course.

I'm going to post a complain thread soon myself about why the hell the makers of Angry Birds have been so sparse on the graphics. I mean, c'mon! The graphics in Angry Birds are awful compared to, say, let's find a matching competator that is about the same game. Ah yes! Crysis? Why can't they at least try to make the graphics in Angry Birds look like Crysis?! Damned those developers at Angry Birds, they obviously have no idea how to make good graphics..

Try using the F7 view to see where it is.

Last time I checked, you cannot turn AI on/off for aircraft/helos. Your trigger logic will work badly anyway, because the server might start even though no clients have jumped into their seats. There is no way I can think of that makes this possible. The best solution I can think of is making a radio option for turning the AI helos on if the players want them to.

Many nations use the F-16 as their flagship military aircraft, like in Norway, until the F-35 comes along anyway. They are in the news all the time, which is probably why they are well known.

AFAIK, the A-10s on combat sorties always carry them. In fact, they seem to carry them even in ferry flights.

Ah, great, I just would not think there were any rules regarding sigs, seeing as there are so many that break them.
