There is a bug in BS2 where groups having names with periods in them will always have the GroupDead rule evaluate to true. I suspect this is also the case for the other rules working with groups, e.g. PartOfGroupInZone does not work with such names either. Lost

I do not mind giving ED 20 bucks for these upgrades, but let me clarify that what I, personally are paying for is the improved Black Shark and MP compat, not the upgrades to the engine, so stating they are part of the product seemed wrong to me. I agree completely with the guys in here saying a better solution to modularisation should be found. The most logical solution I can personally think of, is a system where customers pay for a single product, DCS, and that they may buy additional vehicle modules as they are released in a similar fashion to what ROF used to be. Buying the initial DCS product would be accompanied with any one of the modules, and upgrades to existing modules, e.g., BS2 should indeed be purchasable. This is how it is today, pretty much, but without the essential centralization around a single DCS product. Instead of having several installs, there should only be one. Thanks for the upgrade, ED! What surprises me is how the team managed to keep this a secret. I imagine Wags threatening with firing people if they mentioned it lol!

At least executables that use the same resources, instead of having 3 copies of most of the textures, models, etc. :-)

You have to download the patch if you've bought the patch product, according to Wags.

I chose "Save as", and then overwrote the same file, then opened it again, then tried to run it. No change. Seems like the GroupDead and UnitDead rules always evaluate to true at the very start of the msision, although the units are actually alive. I have sent a detailed description of the problem to Nate, including the files. Thanks for the help. :)

I'm having a hard time using my DCSW created mission in the new BS2 release. I sent you a PM regarding the matter, Nate. I hope it is not intrusive, as I know you guys have your minds set on many things right now.

To my knowledge, the mav seeker does not have any kind of INS, they only rely on the image to detect signatures of possible targets, so stabilizing is a problem for them.

Good thing you write in a small font, because if ED sees what you just wrote, they would be mad! From what I have seen, DCS is A LOT more work than one patch. And I don't say that lightly. :doh:

Why does it even matter? It's there, why ask why it's there? If it wasn't there, people would want it there.

You can do some fancy things with the CDU, for example plotting in your own flight plan and using it to drop 4 JDAMS on 4 targets in 4 seconds, or use it to triangulate the position of SAM threats seen on the RWR. ;)
