According to their website, apparently they’re already in stock

Hi All, Long story short, after buying a 3D printer over Christmas I thought I'd get to grips with how to generally design things and how to print them. I've learnt over the past 3-4 weeks that my 3D printer (Anycubic Chiron) can be a cruel mistress and be very unforgiving. :( Before I tackle the F-18's UFC which is my main aim, I thought I'd have a go at the AV-8B NA UFC and see how far I get. I know Brun has designed a UFC, and as great as it is, I've struggled printing it at home. I've printed it 5-6 times with various Cura settings and each time I'm not happy with the results. I think one of the main issues I've found is that it has to be printed with supports. Its worth noting that I bought it off Shapeways about a year ago and have been using it ever since then, it truly is a great bit of CAD. From the images, it's pretty clear to see my progress; I fly mainly in VR so I don't have much use for panels etc to be back lit. All the components (UFC housing, UFC itself, R & L cautionary panels, buttons & HUD control panel) are separate and can be easily printed without the need for supports. I've decided to create and use my own buttons as I like the feel of 6mm tactile switches, it makes the designing process easier when trying to avoid printing with supports and I also think it makes for a more life-like reproduction (aesthetically). I've managed to find someone on eBay who's printed the UFC button stickers for me so I didn't have to create 25+ individual buttons which I think will be a real time saver. All other hardware that this is designed to be used with (toggle switches, rotary knobs and pots are standard off-the-shelf eBay stuff so they should be very easy to acquire I'm planning on sharing the STLs once I've added a few finishing touches but wanted to share it here to get any feedback prior to publishing. Anyhow, let me know what you think! Av8B UFC Complete.zip Thanks!

Does anyone know when the 8K X is on sale? or if anyone here has pulled the trigger?
-
Totally agree, the ability offset the vertical alignment would be awesome. I don't use the HMD in VR because of precisely this issue

Where are you people finding your order numbers? I order about 3 weeks ago and am just curious to know where mine is in the grand scheme of things
-
In my example above, I’m using the F Mav, not the E variant. I was simply trying to use it the same way I saw in a video when I cam across the issue but I think it’s pretty useful to use WYPDSG if you’re in a target rich/hostile env and don’t have the time to fondle the TDC to find the correct target/area you need to destroy

I just tried this but got a massive amount of cross-eyed effect when switching to 60Hz so had to switch back. Anyone else encounter the same issue?
-
Yea, that definitely seems to have brought the lock closer to the target but I've noticed that whenever I try and set the waypoint to be 0 AGL/ASL it defaults to 98ft etc. Is there a way to set the waypoint to 0 AGL/ASL?

Hi All, I've tried searching already for this but I can't find anywhere its already been mentioned or answered. Putting it simply, I was playing around with IR Mavs and the F-18 yesterday after watching tutorial on YT where the WYPDSG option on the HSI is used to slew the sensor of an IR mav easily to a target. I thought I'd give it a go but for whatever reason, whenever I hit the WYPDSG button, the Maverick slews to a position about 3-500m from where it should lock. Any idea whats going on here? Is there a bug or am I just using it incorrectly? FYI I'm starting hot on the ramp

Hi Winwing, Are you planning on selling the throttle separately? Thanks

Same account on two machines at the same time

Yup that does, thanks! -
Hi All, I’m looking to buy a gaming laptop (Razer 15” just after Christmas mainly for CAD modelling now that I have a 3D printer but I’’d also like to install DCS on it so that I can fly whilst I’m on the road/travelling etc. Does anyone know if I can use the same log in/account on my main pc as well as on the laptop that I’m looking to buy or do I have to constantly deactivate whichever modules I wants to use (F-18, F-14 etc) every time I switch? I’m not looking to fly or use both machines at the same time (i.e. be logged in at the same time) just to clarify but I guess my point is I don’t want to have to pay for the 6+ modules all over again Cheers!

[REPORTED] High-quality A-10C cockpit switch logic
obious replied to Redglyph's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
True enough. Love that ED is giving the A-10 some love but also would like to see a more worn effect -
Is the HUD/VR default position fixed? I haven't flown the A-10C in a while but I remember in VR the HUD was never properly vertically adjusted

Can you actually buy from their website or is it only for trade/industrial customers only?

Hi All, I’m trying to find somewhere online that details the dimensions of the knobs used in the F-16/F-18 hit am not having any luck. I recently bought a 3-D printer and I’ve spent the last day or two designing and printing knobs for my cockpit but as far as I can tell, they are the wrong dimensions to what they should be. I guess it doesn’t really matter, but the pedantic side of me is screaming for the right measurements :) Failing that, if anyone knows anywhere online where the knobs can be bought, please let me know Cheers

Hi All, I just got my hands on a 3D printer for the first time and want to print the wing fold handle (inc the mechanism behind) but before I start to design one, I thought I’d ask if anyone else has? Cheers

Call me crazy but I swear all you had to when the Viper was first released was press the lase button/trigger once and since a recent update you have to hold it down. Anyone know if the logic has changed?
-
Weirdly enough, I find it clearer to read the HSI using my Reverb when I turn the brightness down to about half way
-
Got it, thanks!

Awesome, the only reason I ask is that I saw a video on YT detailing the removal of an electronics board from the TM Warthog base and installation into the FSSB but that may have a diff version of the base
