  1. That’s awesome and exactly what I’m trying to do. Any idea which files I have to modify?
  2. Hi All, I’ve just purchased a second set of Thrustmaster MFDs and I’d like to do what it seems like a lot of other people have: export the left and right DDIs of the F18 to a small 8” monitor that I’ve overlaid the MFDs on. I’ve browsed a few of the forum posts and people seem to make it a relatively easy task. Is all I have to do modify a few lines of a lua file and that’s it? Any help would be appreciated!
  3. Sounds like maybe you’ve changed the default head position. This happened to me a little while back and had to clear/reset the default view lua file to fix it. Took me an age to figure out what went wrong. I must have changed the default view by button mashing when I had my headset on
  4. They look great, how did you make them?
  5. Even if this goes nowhere, thanks for being transparent! :)
  6. I appreciate that. I think the main problem here is the disconnect between what people are seeing in their VR headset vs. what they should be experiencing/feeling; a bit of buffer is acceptable, indeed wanted, but to the point where the whole cockpit violently shakes is a little nauseating. I think this is even more the case as most PCs aren’t able to render above 40/45fps which means when the (relatively) low FPS is coupled with violent, fast and abrupt screen movements can cause discomfort
  7. Just ordered this, super hyped for it now that we have the TPOD. Using the current TDC on the WH throttle is a horrible experience
  8. Yea, I've noticed that also. not sure if its 'normal'?
  9. So I’m just wondering also, if LGBs can hit moving targets, surely they have to be moving along a straight line? Essentially what I’m getting at is how far can a LGB ‘drift’/fly along a horizontal axis?
  10. Interesting, I wonder if that why I’m not able to use PTRK to lock on a moving tank etc?
  11. Hi All, Like a lot of us, I’m loving the introduction of the litening TPOD in yesterday’s OB. However, after spending an hour or so flying around, getting used to using the TPOD and just generally hurling ordinance at various ground targets, a few questions keep cropping up Which is more accurate, JDAM or LGBU? Why would one be employed over the other (I’m assuming environmental conditions play a factor here; ie JDAM in the case of overcast weather)? Cheers
  12. Absolutely loving the pod, makes using JDAM so much easier, even LGBs However, is anyone else having any luck with the TPOD tracking a moving ground target? For the life of me I can’t get it to track a something simple like a moving tank. I thought Wags said point track (PTRK) was implemented? Maybe I’ve found a bug?

    TGP for VID

How did you get the pod to track a moving target? I can’t even get it to track a moving tank on the ground...
  14. Well weirdly enough, I’m confused about dual vs quad channel. From most of the online sellers here in the UK, the kit I want, in the colour I want (Corsair DDR4 ~3600Mhz in white) only comes in a 16GB duel channel kit. I’ve seen quad channel kits but wil they work with a 9900k?
  15. Even after DCS has been installed?
  16. I really want to give this a go but don't currently use any other mods and since have not setup any kind of mod manager. Does anyone know how to install this/where to put the files if not using mod managers like I am?
  17. As per my signature, I’m not running the 3930k stock and I don’t plan on running the 9900k stock either..
  18. Hi All, Long story short, I’m looking to make the jump and build an almost entirely new PC. My current specs are in my signature and I’m looking to replace everything except my 1080ti with a 9900k, Asus Rampage XI Extreme, 16gb DDR4 3600Mhz (or 4000Mhz) RAM and a M.2 drive. My only hesitation is that I’m unsure of what the benefits will be of spending a little less than £2,000 on a semi new rig. The biggest problem I have at the moment are micro-stutters when flying in VR, otherwise I’m perfectly happy with the performance of the current system. If I do buy the new rig, I plan on OC’ing it to ~5Ghz so in reality, will the ~400Mhz gain result in any meaningful results performance wise? Cheers!
  19. Hmm I just Game Mode and it was on, is this something I need to worry about? Also, any thoughts on setting my GPU to 'prefer maximum power' vs. 'optimal' in the Nvidia control panel? I've also some across a few posts where people have set the maximum number of pre-rendered VR frames to 4 in the Nvidia control panel, anyone having any luck with doing this?
  20. Pretty much all the time where ever I’m looking but it’s most prominent when looking side to side
  21. I see. Begs the question why ED don’t clear/delete these folders as part of the update process?
  22. I know this is an old thread but can I just ask if people thing its still worth doing this?
  23. I've noticed this also and completely agree.
  24. Hi All, Long story short, I switched from the Rift to the Rift S back in May when it came out and up until a few weeks ago, I've been enjoying it. I've noticed however that since installing the Windows May (I believe its the 1903) update, DCS World is very jittery in VR, both when flying and just generally navigating the menus. I've updated to the latest graphics drivers from Nvidia and have even joined the Oculus Beta channel in the hope of getting some relief but I haven't been able to find any. I'm flying with a PD of 1.6 (main specs in sig) but have even dropped down to 1.2 to see if that helped; it didn't. Has anyone else noticed micro stutter/jittery-ness or just general perf issues when flying around? I'm not even doing anything necessarily taxing, most flights are the quick start missions (ie single player with no other aircraft or AI) Does anyone think the Windows update that was just released may inadvertently fix the stutter I'm experiencing? Cheers!
