IIRC, it only gets "twitchy" if you have changed the LED settings in TARGET.

Zooming in/out is changing the FOV. I'm not sure what it is exactly you are trying to accomplish? It's like saying you want to get farther away from something without changing your distance from it.

What a bizarre thread. Guy is a fan of the sim and wants to offer a virtual class on the basics. Cool! Sounds great, what time is it? Oh, and he happens to be a crew chief. WTF WHO IS THIS GUY BURN HIM If he never mentioned his vocation, this would likely have been a well-received event and that's it. Yet somehow his additional qualification of being a crew chief makes this not a worthwhile event? Some of you need to get off the crazy pills. To the OP - if you do plan to offer any further classes (and after this, who could blame you if you didn't), please give us a little more notice!

In my opinion... FSX is a great way to learn about flight. DCS is a great way to experience flight.

It's definitely 4.0.0.8. And IIRC, you can't sustain inverted/neg-G flight for more than 10 seconds or so before fuel starvation. Haven't stuck my nose in the manual for a while, though.

Indeed. Sure, this is "just a game", but it's also the most comprehensive commercial flight/combat sim available to us dreamers. And while that's enough, along come the likes of Eddie, BlueRidgeDx, Fish, PeterP, et al, to help us get the most out of it in every way - from setting up our hardware, to flying the hog as realistically as possible. While I'll never even begin to approach the level of skill exhibited by these guys, it's nice to know that the necessary information is available for me to make the attempt. I've said it so many times - this is the most welcoming and helpful gaming/sim community I've encountered. I hope it stays that way.
