  3. mmm.... Well, DCS is certainly not “most games”... Have you noticed how many graphics/misc/gameplay/controls options are available in DCS?... A complex simulation such as DCS must have complex options to adjust and control all the “picky” details it brings to us. I believe you see it now... :) So no, I don’t think I’m picky or have to manipulate so much to get the result needed here, and which is not supported anyway. As explained before, none of the audio combinations you suggested or that exist in game - can produce the expected result, Which in this case is hearing the outside world noise loud enough, not own aircraft noise - and not get deaf when switching to external view. i.e. seperate world sound outside the cockpit, from world sound when inside the cockpit. This is a simple design feature that is necessary , which I hope is simple to implement as well... (Maybe “50% mute” option whenever pressing F2/other external view...) This thread is for bugs and problems, and this is a problem, maybe not for you, but it is for most people I fly with. Unless we discard the “External view” option all together.... Would love to hear from ED folks here about it... Cheers :smilewink:

  5. Now the RWR looks crappy... very thin lines and not readable. I've tried messing with the definitions inside the RWR init lua file but with no significant success. By the way, can you control the default brightness of the UFC to be brightest by default?? Thanks.
  6. True, not a bug but when going deaf after pressing F2 - It’s more of a problem :) . design problem. So I think it’s a good mitigation to seperate the external sound when on external view, and not link it to the internal sounds. Hear like in helmet does not do that job. I wont hear better external sounds if world sound is on zero for example. F2 views audio and such should be differentiated from “in cockpit” audio, imho.
  7. Hi, Is there a way you can increase the “world” sound to be heard loud inside the cockpit, i.e hear other planes fly by me, while not going DEAF if I press F2 button...? In-cockpit sound just increases my aircrafts sound, not the surroundings. Kind of different sound slider for external views... The “External View” sound slider... :smilewink: Thanks

Hi, I'm using these export files for a surround monitor, but for some reason I get the IFEI to start way off the edge of the screen i set for, i.e. my fourth monitor for instrument start at 6000, and I set it to 6005, but it starts drawing at around ~6200 ... as if there's a 'tranparent' area to the left of the IFEI that is being drawn. Anyone has a clue why is that?? Thanks
  10. Hi uboats, I've found that using your mod leads to some options missing like raindroplets and SSAO in the graphics menu. As a tester for ED can you confirm this mod is going to be implemented as a feature? It is surely a practical feature to control the position of the kneeboard... (Besides the IC fails from before, if that is fixable at all in an easy way....or even better - integrated!! :) Thanks for your support!! Ron
  11. EDIT #2 at least on my end I've found the cause to be a mod I use - "DCS Kneeboard Position Mod v2.5", just removed it and options are back again. It's an essential mod for me who uses 4 monitors, 3 in surround, and cant see the kneeboard which is cut on the fourth smaller monitor. I hope this can be implemented within DCS menu itself not as a mod. EDIT: After deleting the options file from saved games and running a repair the options re-appeared. will track this issue if it appears again. I can confirm I have the same issue. The Rain droplets dropdown menu for selection is not really opening and is "empty". Same goes for SSAO option. I insert manually the line to savedgames\config\options.lua ["rainDroplets"] = 1, under "Graphics" then rain appears in game but not in menu. next time I load DCS - this line is gone... this issue occurred since the last 2 or 3 open beta updates. and now in stable of course... is it a known bug already?   12. I think only digital outputs such as RWR/MFD etc' can be exported like this, not analog dials and switches...
  13. It's the "GFeelinEffect (USB Only)". It is always active, even on 1G. I have to reduce it to 5 to make it almost go away, but not completely disappear. In the way it is now - it is acting almost as engine rumble. Thanks.
  14. well, if that’s the case, then they never stop moving and rumbles the seat all the time... I’ll check it, but I recall even in a level flight at constant speed it was rumbling, Where I would expect the flaps to stay still. Too much back massage ;)
  15. Hi, Flying the F-18C, I always get a rumble in the seat, regardless of what setting I un-check in SSA. Any clue why? (Afterburner/Engine rumble/ speedbrakes / Turbulence etc. all un-checked already...) Thanks
  16. Thanks for your update! I love this mod and would like to see it integrated into DCS. It really adds to the atmosphere of realistic battle scene.

  19. Same issue with thick fonts that gets better only when I zoom in real close. Running Surround at 6000x1200.
  20. Already did that, see my first post, but the FOV is not the same as before, as if ED put a limit to the FOV.
  21. It’s not a problem of the Hornet or other DCS aircrafts only, It doesn’t work for FC3 aircrafts as well, i.e. F-15C. I opened this thread before the Hornet was released. Still can’t find a way to zoom out far enough. I find it funny that ED have decided for me the proper FOV for my setup... I hope it’s a bug that is going to be fixed.

Hi, I'm using a custom server.lua (working well in stable) to widen the field of view, so I can fly properly on 3 surround monitors (I still don't get why ED is not implementing support for multi monitors in a user friendly way...but that's a fight for another day...) I use an axis on my throttle to control the zoom level, and in this beta 2.5.2.17559, the field of view is not correlating to the values in the server.lua, as they are in the stable, i.e I can't zoom out far enough as before. See changed lines in server.lua (exact copy from stable version) below in red : function default_fighter_player(t) local res = { CameraViewAngleLimits = {20.000000,165.000000}, --140 >>165 CameraAngleRestriction = {false ,165.000000,0.500000},--90 >>165 EyePoint = {0.05 ,0.000000 ,0.000000}, Am I missing something that was changed or is it a bug?   24. More noticeable missing structures!... Besides Al Bateen airport is missing, many other noticeable structures and landmarks are missing, and I wish ED will add them soon. Unique missing structures in Abu Dhabi for example: Abu Dhabi International airport itself. Huge landmark... a must...! Ferrari World with it's distinct red roof, next to Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi Hotel with the F1 race track, situated just off of AD INTL airport above. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (as already mentioned here), The ARMED FORCES OFFICERS CLUB - or the OC, Aldar headquarters building (unique round ring shaped) ADNEC - Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (tilted building / modern pizza building style - less important and noticeable than the others though). Hopefully added soon... ED?... :) .
