I understand that many people wants a DCS F/A-18C as close to the real USN legacy hornet as possible. But I for myself would really love to see that ED implements a landbase ILS once the hornet is finished. DCS is a sim and as I like to operate the hornet also from air bases (and not only from carrier) it would be my biggest wish we would have the opportunity to enable landbase ILS as well. Yes I know the real USN legacy hornet doesn‘t have ILS (only ICLS) but all hardcore simmers can disable this function, all others (like me) can enable ILS :thumbup:

Hallo DST Schau dir mal die Bücher von Dale Brown an, könnte genau das sein, was du suchst. Habe sie alle gelesen und sind echt super geschrieben mit vielen Aktionen aus dem Cockpit. Wirklich super beschrieben, auch wenn teilweise Fiktion vorhanden ist (Es handelt sich meistens um den B-52 (im Buch als teilweise EB-52) sowie um den B-1B bzw. EB-1B Vampire. Gibt auch viele Szenen mit der F-15, F-16, F/A-18. Besonders in guter Erinnerung habe ich die Bücher Tag des Falken, Stählerne Schatten, Der Schattenpilot und Lautlose Jadg. Von Stephen Coonts gibt es den Klassiker "Flug durch die Nacht" der auch verfilmt wurde. Cheers Weasel

Super Beitrag Gizmo03 [emoji106] Wusste z.B.nicht, dass die Luftwirbel der Tragflächen mit abnehmender Geschwindigkeit grösser werden, dachte immer sei umgekehrt. Überhaupt ein sehr spannendes Thema und freut mich riesig, dass dies in DCS umgesetzt wird und die Sim somit wieder ein Stück realistischer. Sind etwas vom Thema abgekommen, let's get us back to the topic [emoji6]

Thanks for your reply @WINWING & Toogay I really support this attitude and I couldn't wish more than your and my dreams comes true. I assume (and also hope) that your Hornet Hotas system will be a big success and I therefore hope you can realize your dreams with many other ideas and projects. It was always my dream to have some panels for the hornet so that I control quite all systems without using the mouse and just use the switches and knobs from the panels. Really looking forward for the reviews and tests from the testers [emoji106]

Hello Winwing I am really excited and looking forward to your F/A-18 Hotas system. But I have some questions: Preorder starts tomorrow (July 5th) and ends before the launch event (between Aug 15-30). Does that mean the pre order window ends before we get the firsts reviews and videos from the testers? What about the shipping fees to Switzerland? Switzerland is not part of the EU. Normally we will have to pay less fees. Your Hornet Hotas comes with a prestart panel. When comes the takeoff panel? Are there any other panels (UFC, DDIs, Master Arm Switch, HUD switches etc) planned?

I don't believe there will be an update today. I assume the next update is in early July together with the Litening targeting pod (only planned)

Gestern startete doch die Flight Sim Expo 19, an welcher heute Samstag Wags höchst persönlich anwesend sein wird. Es ist so ruhig im Forum. Mensch wie, war das doch vor 3 Jahren noch anders, als damals eine kleine Demo der F/A-18C gezeigt wurde. Habe gehofft, vielleicht gibt es eine kleine Vorschau zum neuen Träger Modul oder einer der neuen Karte. Vielleicht gibts ja doch noch was an Breaking News ;-)

I assume there will be more information (and maybe a very first look) when the FlightSimExpo started (weekend 7-9 June)

Genau das hat mich auch gewundert. Ist jetzt reine Spekulation meinerseits, aber die Vorkommnisse rund um die F-16 der vergangenen Woche haben ev. auch dazu beigetragen, dass einzelne Features überdacht werden müssen

Ich werde mir das Trägermodul auf jeden Fall auch kaufen. Freue mich schon seit der Ankündigung Anfangs 2016 darauf. Am Sonntag gabs in dem Carrier Comms Thread einen regelrechten Shitstorm. Das Anlieger der User kann ich gut nachvollziehen, aber verstehe auch dass ED damit Geld verdienen möchte. Da ich bisher nur im SP gespielt habe, kann ich hier nicht mitreden. Im Sinne einer guten Stimmung in der Community hoffe ich aber, dass es zu einer guten und, fairen Lösung kommt. Bin gespannt, ob das Carrier Modul Anfangs Juni im Rahmen der Flight Sim Expo vorgestellt wird (als Vorschau)
