Ja, ehrlich gesagt verstehe ich das auch nicht. Ich persönlich wäre dafür, dass anstatt eines wöchentlichen ein monatlicher Newsletter erscheint, dafür aussagekräftiger oder ED macht eine Roadmap und passt dort die jeweiligen Core Features an. Dass sie keine Prognose mehr machen kann ich gut nachvollziehen, schliesslich gab es (so gefühlt) jedesmal ein <profanity>storm, wenn es zu einer Release Verschiebung kam.

Es ist auch so, dass es schwierig ist, zu diesem Thema einen Screenshot zu posten, ganz im Unterschied zu einem Flugzeug oder Karte. Bin auch der Überzeugung, dass im Hintergrund hart daran gearbeitet wird, da sich ED der Wichtigkeit dieses Themas sehr wohl bewusst ist.

For me, every new map is a big value for DCS and the most interesting news of today‘s newsletter is the fact that there are enthusiasts who make a new map and the we have a new 3rd party joining DCS. So please let us give them a chance and let us be surprised what these guys will be able to offer us.

Mit dem heutigen Newsletter wurde nicht nur eine neue Karte für DCS angekündigt, sondern auch einen neuen Karten Publisher. Hierzu eine Erklärung von Wags:

As ED already stated, they don’t only overhaul ATC, they overhaul all radio communication (JTAC, AWACS, Tanker etc) together with ATC and this is a big task. Please don‘t forget that about half of the engineers are working on core system. Yes I am also eagerly awaiting new ATC and radio but we have to be patient. It‘s comming but iirc they first finish ATC for supercarrier and then they move to airfield ATC (or they already began working on it shortly) This year is a great year and we got a lot of new functions. Really looking forward to see what‘s comming next!

Das geht ja wirklich Schlag auf Schlag und bin extrem gehyped was da noch sonst alles kommt. Die starten ja ein richtiges Feuerwerk an Ankündigungen Habe ich etwas verpasst oder handelt es sich bei OnReTech um einen neuen Entwickler? War mir bisher unbekannt. Hier noch ein Post von ED von Twitter:

Ohne jetzt allzu politisch werden zu wollen, ja ich spiele auch nicht gerne aktuelle Konflikte nach und ich bin DCS tatsächlich schon öfters geflogen als es aktuell der Fall ist. Was die beiden Kampagnen betrifft, es wird sicherlich eine tolle Sache sein, dass zwei Kampagnen ineinander fliessen. Auf die neue Karte freue ich mich riesig und dass Orbx Einzug bei DCS genommen hat, ist ein grosser Gewinn für uns. As we know ED plans to make the whole world (even it’s still not around the corner) and with orbx we have professional theater builder joining DCS. I am really excited what next we can expect from orbx. Maybe they start with the Scandinavian map and will then continous with the southern or eastern part of Europe and they will begin to merge the different maps slowly to the whole world. The future really looks bright!

This was a big surprise for me as well as I wasn‘t aware of this post from Wags back in June 19. Now I am very hyped and really looking forward to see more from this very exciting map. The purchase of the South Atlantic map was because of the beautiful landscape with all the mountains, glaciers and snow covered area. What a nice contrast to all the desert areas like PG and Syria. As Orbx already has a lot of expierence in making maps for different flight sims (MSFS, XPlane and P3D) I am sure we will see some fantastic maps in the near future and the whole world is now a big step comming closer. I really appreciate that with Orbx there is another theatre builder. My biggest wish that we will see more „living“ maps, especially at the airports with animated ground crew, fuel vehicles and some other ground staff. The future really looks bright

Hey guys Do you have any recommendation for a very accurate and realistic profile for the DCS F/A-18C? I have the WW Super Libra and Super Taurus combo system. I also use the Simapp Pro. Thanks and regards Weasel
