Sounds right. But what does the "Stop" part mean?
-
One more question: If the target is for example 3 tanks and the JTAC is lasing one of them, with mavericks it would be easy to take them out with one run. Should I kill only this lased one first and wait until the second one is lased? And then destroy it. And so on. Of course if I use CBU-97, they'll all be gone with the first run anyway.
-
I pretty much hit the target I am supposed to. :)
-
His sound/tone is pretty hard/strict/harsh/severe. Am I doing something wrong, I ask myself? I did hit the target(s) OK anyway? Later I found out "Abort, abort, abort!!!" means I'm doing something wrong, right? Is there any JTAC vocabulary available? :joystick:

Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
FreeFall replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
I patched mine (not fresh install), but hadn't any problems with MFCDs. You can pick your monitor.lua from Options/System Graphics? And you have manually entered the right resolution? -
CBU 105s need waypoint set over target area?
FreeFall replied to leafer's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Red Baron skin? Anyone? -
Even 5 times. At least when it comes to the first Gulf War (early 90's).

Agree. I have tried some versions published after 11.6, and immediately noticed the flashing white boxes. So, 11.6 is my recommendation.

Just keep training! During the last few weeks I've trained refueling a lot. With "a lot" I mean frequently. Maybe one AAR every second day. I've also trained formation flying with tanker (just fly with the tanker and keep your position "as a wingman" or behind the tanker) and with BFT11 - Fly 2 Ship as Wingman - http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/110145/ Anyway, after this practice period I took a little break; a few days without any refueling. A couple of days later I started my normal refueling practice mission. I got the plane properly trimmed easily. Got contact. Started getting fuel. I did maintain the contact all the time until filled up. This was my first AAR without reconnecting. It felt unbelievably easy. Tried again. Almost got filled up without reconnect, but eventually was a bit slow -> one quick reconnect. Maybe because of my now slighly better formation flying skills (I find formation flying very challenging) my eyes/brain/hands have started to work together subconsciously, and I can maintain the correct position with tanker without too much thinking or constant monitoring my speed on HUD. So, after all it's only a matter of training. And practicing formation flying helps a lot too. I think.

This way. I think I have copied/pasted it from airdogs original message:

Trackir and setting the ils in the ils panel
FreeFall replied to WarthogSmurf's topic in Bugs and Problems
Try snapviews: Numpad key combination [Zero] + [3] shows you the ILS panel. But you have to hold the keys. If you wanna toggle, first press [RCtrl] + [Zero]. Then [3]. If you wanna go back to the original view, [RCtrl] + [Zero] again. EDIT: Or actually [Zero] seems to be enough. Try other snapviews as well, e.g. [Zero] + [1]. -
Me too. Even uploaded a .miz with which I can reproduce the transport.dll crash: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1354536&postcount=15 I patched my sim to v1.1.1.1, so I must consider uninstall/fresh install. EDIT: Must be related to destroying ships, as mentioned in this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=83054

First crash (after an hour of total flying time with the latest patch): Fault Module Name: Transport.dll

No problem, especially when I'm already overwhelmed with all the info the change log contains... :megalol:

I've installed v.1.1.1.1 For me the ILS Power Ring works with v1.1.1.1. just the same way as it worked with v1.1.1.0 (That is: Pointer does show the opposite position compared with 3D cockpit pointer. PWR = OFF and OFF = PWR. ) And I can switch off the ILS. And also switch it on. Helios 1.2.172.434
-
BTW, patch 1.1.1.1 fixed my tiny communication problem with tower. :) Dunno if there was a bug or if a new install just took care of the problem. Who cares anyway :)

TGP picture seems to be much smoother now. Not that jerky any more. Or what do you think?

[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts
FreeFall replied to icemaker's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
1.1.1.1 patch related info FYI. If you have your exports working OK at the moment (with v.1.1.1.0), and you are going to update to v1.1.1.1, I suggest that before patching make a backup copy of your AN_ALR69V_init.lua -file. The installer seems to replace that file with a version that won't export RWR. And if your Helios won't work after the patch 1.1.1.1, open the Helios Profile Editor, add the interface and refresh the A-10C Setup Install Path. Then open your working Helios Profile and save it (perhaps with a new name). Open it and it should work. At least worked for me. -
When I started practising AAR, I also saw this hint of pausing TrackIR. However, I did not pause TrackIR because pausing it makes me feel totally uncomfortable.
-
Maybe you read the "release notes" from this site: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/patches/dcs-wh_patch_1.1.1.1_en/ The modifier thing is not mentioned there at all.
-
Thanks! I replaced the AN_ALR69V_init.lua -file of the patched install with a backup copy of my previously working AN_ALR69V_init.lua. Seems to work nicely!
-
Thanks! I figured that out myself a few minutes ago. So it's fixed. Only the RWR export is missing at the moment.
-
Updated to 1.1.1.1. Now my Helios won't work at all! Absolutely nothing happens on my Helios screens when I start the sim. The gauges are dead. I see almost all the exported (CDU, clock etc.) stuff, but no RWR. Any suggestions? EDIT: Fixed! I just opened the Helios Profile Editor, Added the interface and refreshed the A-10C Setup Install Path. Then I opened my Helios Profile and saved it. Now it seems to work. Must check the RWR thing though. It won't work.

Release notes say: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=82956 But I doubt if the "Ati Flashing White Boxes" have been fixed? Should I install the latest drivers for my 6950?
-
I must admit I use the brakes that way too. But I think in general you shouldn't use brakes for steering purposes. I'm pretty sure I've seen some document about that.
