Thanks for all the help people. After 4 days of struggling and feeling like I had blown £650 on a G2 which couldnt better my Rift S I am now a convert. I can read the dials, and the colours are superb. Very little to no shimmering and my frame rates/settings are probably now higher than they were with the Rift, with much much more clarity. CptHelmet, I am so glad you mentioned about the cross eye fix, that was the icing on the cake because I am convinced since experimenting with some of the options, I have now found one which is more comfortable and the sweet spot is huge. Anywhere I look unless I really try going to the extremes and looking out the corner of my eyes seem to be in focus. Also, have to say VRFPS has been an amazing tool also. I had heard it mentioned previously, but as I wasn't using Steam with the Rift I didnt bother with it, but being able to see your performance in real time is amazing. For anyone struggling to dial in your settings, I highly recommend it. The other great tweak I did tonight (though I kind of didnt like doing it) was to remove the rubber nose insert, so that I have a small gap where I can look down my nose and see my keyboard. The Rift S was good as the nose insert was detachable, but on the G2 it's held on with some adhesive. Easy enough to remove without breaking though.

Where do I get this tool please, and is this why my eyes hurt when I use VR zoom? Didnt have any problems zooming with my Rift S, but zooming in the G2 is off in comparison. Edit: Sorry, that was lazy of me to ask and not search. I Presume this is it here?

Already done lots of the underlying windows tweaks, but I think my issue lies predominently with the SteamVR settings. I have been completed confused on how to set the Global resolution vs the application specific multiplier. Should the global resolution (or whatever its called) always be set to 100% 3164x3096 and you adjust the multiplier on a per application basis in the Video section of SteamVR? Thx

I got my G2 on Monday and am having a hellish time. I have looked at 14 pages of threads in this VR forum (since the G2 came out) and lots online. Followed the various guides on tuning Windows and turning various features off, and have been totally confused by numbers, percentages and where to set them. When you say "I dialed the res to 48" was this in SteamVR on the global page, or have you left global at 100% and set 48 specifically against DCS? Thx

I dont use Steam or SteamVR at the moment, so will have to get my head around the setup of those. I have just ordered an NVME drive so am going for a new install of the OS and DCS next week. That way it wont have any of the old Oculus software lying around possibly causing me trouble and I can install Steam to that. Will I only need SteamVR do you know?

Glad to hear you should have your replacement soon. Standby for my questions next week about how I set this thing up. To be fair the Rift S was easy, but I get the feeling the G2 isnt quite the same?

Just to update my thread for anyone else considering a G2 in the UK. HP are receivng a batch of units with controllers tomorrow. There are a few still available. £658

Hi Has anyone heard when System Active or HP might be getting more stock of the Reverb G2 in the UK? I have had the Rift S for18 month now and it was a great way to get in to VR, but I m fed up of blurry text forcing me to lean in to read the DDIs. Looks like there is stock availalbe in other countries. I have tried contacing SA and HP without much success. Thanks in advance

I had absolutely no intention of buying this map as i've got a number of modules that are all in EA, and subsequently (and understandably) they have their issues. It feels like it takes forever for them to become solid releases so I thought I would give no more money to ED until some of the modules I have already invested in are finished 100%. However, having taken the opoortunity to install and play on the Syria map over the last couple of days in the free play period, I think it's the best map and I am happy to pay to get it. I was worried about performance, but I feel its at least as good as PG if not better and looks stunning vs PGs desert features. Well done Ugra.

I had my VR goggles on and fumbled with the keyboard trying to change my IPD in game between flying the hornet and the viper. Dont know what I pressed, but now I cant see the settings menu at all. Tried restarting the game, but still cant see the settings menu. I think some other fool also did this a couple of months ago, but im struggling to find the thread. LoL. I've been playing DCS for a while but was flying a mission the other day and couldn't drop my bomb. Was really frustrated and couldn't understand why, until I realized the master arm was on, but A/G mode wasn't on. D'oh. First time I had done it> lesson learned for next time!

Yes, the haze is terrible. Does nobody test the game in VR before releasing updates? Come on ED, please rectify this issue.

Don't you have to un-designate in order to remove the target box? I think it's the NWS command?

I wondered what was going on and why I cant see anything but white from about 10 miles out. Is this a confirmed bug ED have acknowledged and are working to resolve do you know? I guess now that because fixes and patches are being rolled out much less frequently, it could be a while before this is fixed? Shame, because its a real problem.

I think the patch notes go up first, but it can take a while for the updates to become available.

I am using the latest SC version. Same problem I had with no tanks anywhere to be seen. Also I am not getting any comms from my wingman despite using the correct radio and Chanel. Thanks for anything you can do to assist Flo.

Anyone know if its possible to assign the LTD/R switch to a switch on the TM Warthog? I had a quick look in the controlls but couldnt find anything obvious. Be nice to be able to flick a switch and have it come back on.
