  1. Actually,as we're discussing Axis,I would love to see the Bomb Doors,Undercarriage and Flaps given their own Axis just like the real aircraft (see pic below) taken from the new DCS Mosquito cockpit. There is nothing worse than just flicking a switch on/off to activate these very important controls, take the bomb doors for instance, pulling the lever down on an axis is far better for immersion......my two pennies worth anyway. Not having enough Axis controls would'nt be a problem to me I've got more than enough (see bottom pic) my cockpit,I moved my seat out of the way so the controls are more visible.
  2. Thanks Bart appreciate your reply and findings.....and I did what you did,ie flew out in a Spitfire to recce the said area,I tried to keep to the original raid route ie coming in from Albert along the straight road and then to Amiens and to the area where the target will eventually be. Once the target's implemented and we've got our hands on the Mosquito it'll be great to relive the raid of Operation Jericho
  3. Appreciated BIGNEWY and please pass my personal thanks to the creator/artist of this additional feature,it's a work of art.......you guys are really coming up with the goodies
  4. Thanks for the confirmation chaps.....looking forward to this being part of the map
  5. Thanks SD,and yes,I've seen the new Mossie video, but I don't think the Amiens prison has actually been added to the Channel map yet,I was looking for it a little while ago and could'nt find it.I have both the safe and Beta versions of DCS. I'm led to believe it's on the East side of the map and East of the Cathedral and is sited after a very long straight road, which when used by the real raiders offered the perfect route to the target. Maybe I'm wrong,in which case where about's is it please.
  6. Fantastic Chuck.....I,and I expect many, many others will really appreciate this.....
  7. Yes they have and it looks superb, see below.....however I do not know when it will be implemented into the map itself,so if someone can throw some light on that I'd like to know,as I expect many others would.
  8. Peeter this is superb mate, and a real help to us new Mossie pilots, and hey if the manual says ' WEAK ' then weak is good enough for me,please don't change it. I for one really appreciate this, first class sir.....Bravo
  9. Terrific idea......I'll be tuning in,Suntag's a great chap to talk us through the new Mossie......first class Suntag
  10. Your guess is as good as mine old chap, and let's not kid ourselves there's only so many tasks a WW2 Navigator can undertake, simply because the systems available to him are pretty basic compared to those the modern jet fighter/bomber systems co pilot enjoys. I do hope however that in the future we will enjoy something a little more advanced than just a static Navigator......we live in hope
  11. Although going on what I saw in the latest video there was definitely a Navigator sitting alongside the pilot,so on EA maybe we'll get a static one.....an all singing and dancing model like the F-14 has might not yet be on the table yet. But who knows, there just has'nt been any info on it,so we maybe pleasantly surprised.
  12. Yes you can have all the choices given in the replies above........or.......you could have a 4000Ib Cookie.......don't forget the Cookie.
  13. I hope you'll grace us with a Mosquito Manual/Tutorial in the future Chuck once it's been released and when the time suits you, please.
  14. I was thinking the same......I do hope we get a Navigator to compliment the overall Mossie set up,the new external model looks superb IMHO,it was obviously worth the extra wait,ED has done a superb job.
  15. .....And here's another one for your delectation Gentlemen.
  16. It's coming.......I always love it when a new DCS module's is on it's way, just reading all the hypothesis of the delays for release from all the armchair experts on here makes for great entertainment......Priceless
  17. Yeah......I don't get the mindset of pre-order either,I strongly believe in,once the module is ready, and I mean ready.......then I'll be ready to hand over my hard earned cash. It also encourages the developer to pull their finger out too.....all the time they have finances coming in there is obviously not the race to release the module.....simples,no brainer.
  18. Thanks very much Fenrir, good show old chap ......hope this'll be useful too.

    NINE-O-NINE

First Class Rick, thank you very much indeedy
  20. I stand corrected then, maybe it's only me that finds this wording melodramatic......I was a fireman for over 25 years,so I guess my world that I come from is in some way clouding my judgement on this.As a fireman you got to witness and deal with real life catastrophes almost everyday of your career, and had I of taken the view that waiting a little extra time for a PC game to arrive be a problem I would've been finished in that career for sure ! Please excuse my view that the waiting of a few months is a catastrophic for him and that I view those the sentiments to be those of snowflakes. If this is the real world now.....then beam me up Scotty.
  21. I'm not saying you can't do or say anything......what I'm saying is that using such dramatic words as catastrophic for an extra little wait seems just a tad extreme to say the least. A flood,an earthquake,a massacre,a sunami are what are normally associated with the word catastrophic......not a few months wait for a PC flight sim to be released. Ed has been more than straight with us,yes there's been a hiccup, nothing serious,it's coming very soon I'm sure,I for one can't wait,so just hang in there buddy or you'll give yourself a 'catastrophic' heart attack, lol.
  22. Catastrophic delay.....really ??......so we've all had to wait a little longer,a few extra months at best, this hardly constitutes as catastrophic......bit melodramatic is'nt it ?
  23. Regardless what happens 'what goes on behind the scenes',and any speculation what the issues are',best we forget this for the time being.....looks as if this is this ain't gonna be released soon,it's delayed, and with DCS,we all know, that could be,and will probably be,a very long time, maybe 2022,2023 ?
