  1. I totally agree,a lot of these raids did not have the desired effect.....the Dambusters raid only resulted in halting something like three months worth of war production, but hindsight is a wonderful thing, there was a war on and something had to be done. Many of these raids were marvelous for morale at a time when the world was in a very dark place,so I for one condone the actions that were taken.I just accept that you can't get it right every time and that at the very least your are seen as doing something rather than nothing....just sitting on your hands and being clever does'nt win wars, especially that war where we had to defeat tyranny.
  2. +1 too here please.....it would be a great addition to the collection
  3. It's going to come down to balance the correct amount of thrust going through each prop,so having twin throttles will ensure the ease of that procedure. I agree it would've been nice to see the controls indicator and what he was doing with his controls
  4. Thanks mate.....appreciated.
  5. It's ok,I'm not personally going to lose sleepover this.....I'm just very disappointed with the devs attitude towards their customers that's all.....and am I expecting this to be rectified in the near future ?......no of course not, they've got our money now have'nt they ?
  6. You're missing the point.....members have paid up front for an unfinished module...it is missing it's official template, therefore it's unfinished period, and just because the likes of you think it is'nt important, bares no bearing on the situation whatsoever......there are many that do,and would like this situation rectified, sooner rather than later,it is their right to do so Regardless of how it can now be purchased seven years later in the various DCS sales is besides the point. There are many members that purchased this module in all good faith, back when it was released at it's premium price.....they will not enjoy any of these subsequent discounts you speak of.....so this argument that it can be now purchased at a cheaper price does'nt stack up......try telling this to the many thousands that have already purchased it !
  7. Understood....but the Hind is a brand new module,I think we all understand that the template follows on in many cases a little later after the initial release, many of us have come to accept this. But the Dora was released back in 2014,it should've been given an official template by now, after all,we are paying good money for these modules.....they are by no means cheap, and we expect certain aspects of these modules to have been completed, especially after seven plus years of it's release date ! I suspect the key argument the member is trying to make here,is that he will be a little more careful how he spends his hard earned cash next time, and I for one can't blame him. Not to have this official template after this long period of elapsed time is some what lazy and discourteous on the behalf of the developer......yes you have had our money......now be courteous and grace us by completing the full module please, after all we have been more than patient. No one is demanding anything here btw.....just asking politely that this is completed, regardless of what other new modules may be being worked on in the pipeline
  8. This is the LUA that I have pulled from the Theo Nibel Fw 190 D-9 skin used in the screenshots,I don't know if this will help you DB 605 but try it. livery = { {"FW-190_01", 0 ,"FW-190_NIBEL_01",false}; {"FW-190_02", 0 ,"FW-190_NIBEL_02",false}; {"FW-190_03", 0 ,"FW-190_NIBEL_03",false}; {"FW-190_04", 0 ,"FW-190_NIBEL_04",false}; {"FW-190_01", 1 ,"Fw-190_Nm_01",false}; {"FW-190_02", 1 ,"Fw-190_Nm_02",false}; {"FW-190_03", 1 ,"Fw-190_Nm_03",false}; {"FW-190_04", 1 ,"Fw-190_Nm_04",false}; {"FW-190_01", 2 ,"fw_190_spec_01",false}; {"FW-190_02", 2 ,"fw_190_spec_02",false}; {"FW-190_03", 2 ,"fw_190_spec_03",false}; {"FW-190_04", 2 ,"fw_190_spec_04",false}; {"FW-190_BORT_NUMBER", 0 ,"empty",true}; {"FW-190_NUMBER_GB", 0 ,"empty",true}; } name = "Theo Nibel, JG 54" id = 0 countries = {"GER",}
  9. Sorry I have no idea how skins work,it was just in my fw190 D-9 skin collection, just the one I chose to use on that day.
  10. Thanks but the credit goes to JST here's the link :
  11. Why give it a date ?.....strikes me as soon you make a date for these things you make a rod for your own back.....far smarter to just upload the thing as and when you can.
  12. Fw 190 D-9 and the Channel Map all within the latest Open Beta.
  13. Ok mate.....we all got that....don't feel you need to say it again though eh,Lol Btw....100% FM expected,or your out of here.....that's a bit drastic ain't it ?
  14. Ah yes Oblt Waldemar Radener and his Brown 4,thanks Fenrir much appreciated, however I have seen this and took note of the Brown or rusty red/brown marking colour.Radener was with Mayer on the scramble to intercept the Amiens Prison raiders,he shot down one of the escorting Typhoons......but then I'm sure you're quite aware of that eh ? You're right about the A-8......I'd forgotten this gem of information, yes he was more likely to be flying the A-6/A-7 thank you for bringing this to my attention I'll change my initial message, thx buddy
  15. Excellent video there Terry thanks for sharing.....it won't be long now and we'll all get our hands on this beautiful big bird, hope the DCS module will do justice to the twin Merlin 25's that we're apparently going to get with it. Great stuff mate
  16. Guys,I'm trying to track down any picture references of Feldwebel Wilhelm Mayer's FW 190 A-6/A-7 of 7. Staffel Jagdgeschwader 26. According to historic information it was Mayer that shot down Group Captain George 'Pick' Pickard's Mosquito on the 18th February 1944 during the Amiens Prison raid.My friend and I would like any picture references of his FW 190 A-6/A-7 so we can make a historic skin of his aircraft. If you think you can help please let us know, thank you. BTW this is Wilhelm Mayer we require info on not Egon Mayer.
  17. I apologise JimBo.....ROFL....but it's your grammar mate,it threw me,it should read 'means' not 'mean',I read it how it reads my old China
  18. Oh JimBo......'I think it just mean it won't be released before the 9th' ????......come on mate get yourself a beer, watch a film, chill out, this is just a module of one particular sim....it's gonna come this month that's for sure.....surely you can wait just that little bit longer buddy
  19. Ed's doing a damn great job on the damn plane.....no premature releases with any damn issues please......I'll gladly wait until the damn plane is ready.....btw ED the damn plane is really looking good
  20. Wow...great stuff bart....I had'nt noticed this comment by ED,thanks for sharing this, that's very encouraging, the serial codes all match up to the relevant squad codes too....so someone's been doing their homework
  21. I would love to see some historic 'Operation Jericho' skins created in the near future, here's three for starters including probably the most iconic Pickard's F for Freddie. All of these Mosquito skin references came from some of my books,so please excuse the crude area where I have had to block out areas of unwanted text. The bottom two aircraft are from the same Squadron but IMHO V-SB offers the most correct colour reference for any skinners interested, note the sky NOT white squadron codes. I will add to this section as and when I find other Operation Jericho skin references.
  22. Yes bart...George 'Pick' Pickard quite a man...what you can call a real life hero in the true sense of the word.....not one of modern day life's heroes like certain film stars, footballers or other transparent cardboard cut outs too many to mention,in a world where the word hero and legend are used every other day. But to answer your question, yes I am very aware of the gentleman's exploits,he has always been a hero of mine, and I think that he has not had the kind recognition that he truly deserves. So I chose to use his picture as my avatar to give him a small tribute in recognition of his short but full life. Just to inform anyone that does not know about this chap....he led the attack on the Amiens prison raid commonly known as Operation Jericho or RAMROD 564 in February 1944,but lost his life at only 28 after leading that raid. 23. ROFL....and I was only joking.....but some go to great lengths just to prove a point on this forum....I've got to admire your dedication here bro...whilst truly anal,it's breathtakingly admirable at the same time, very well done indeed, pat on head...hope it did'nt take you too long to gather all those pictures btw.
  24. The pilots who flew Sunderland's,Walrus's,Catalinas and other flying boats might disagree there mate....he,he,he
