  1. You're a gentlemen sir,thank you.
  2. Bump.........If there is a skinner that could create this little beauty,I would be very appreciative, thanks.
  3. Outstanding Sir !
  4. This is great news Bo,glad to see you back buddy.
  5. These B-17G skins are so beautiful, however, without wanting to sound too greedy, would you be able to create a 91st green generic skin and a 91st silver skin,is that even possible ?
  6. So looking forward to seeing your versions buddy.
  7. Superb,at last a choice of B-17G skin,thank you very much KIZIR_77,these look fantastic,top work.
  8. Fantastic Bo,the Huff is looking beautiful with it's latest update, will you be updating the whole of you F-86F skin collection ?.......I do hope so as your F-86F skins are first class Sir.
  9. In short....you guys struggling with your landing, without wanting to sound blunt, but you've just got to practice, practice and practice. There is no easy fix here, there is certainly all the advice under the sun on these forum pages, take the advice but practice. The flight model is perfect guys,it's superb,so you can understand why we don't want it dumbed down, you've just got to put the hours in,period.
  10. Here's a great photo of a the real 132 Squadron FF-Y NH493 Spitfire of the above profile picture, with the post invasion stripes. Note the invasion stripes are only applied under wing and half way up the fuselarge.Whereas most of the full invasion stripe versions carried the stripes on over the wing and right over the fuselarge. However as pointed out there were exceptions, one of Johnny Johnson's 'JE-J MK392' of June '44 depicted in the top profile above, only had the invasion stripes on the underneath of his wing, but had the full stripes over the fuselarge, see second pic. The third pic, depicts the full invasion stripes applied, here as a modellers reference. The last pic shows the full Invasion stripes applied, and shows the aircraft head on. So the conclusion of all this would be,and if it's at all possible Greg,is to have the three versions created please, that would be great IMO.
  11. Here's my two pennies worth Greg......Hope this helps, here's the two main versions of the invasion stripes that were applied to the Spitfire, the first being the full invasion stripe, and the second, being the post invasion stripe.
  12. This is superb, the colours are top notch.the markings are absolutely the correct size, but that's not all,up close, the subtle weathering is first class. These new skins make the DCS Spitfire come alive,it now looks like a real Spitfire should.......Greg your work is outstanding Sir ! From one very happy DCS Spifire pilot.
  13. Whoa !......this looks spot JST,will download and try this beauty out tonight, thank you very much buddy,1st Class mate.Love the mottling, superb.
  14. There maybe 2-3 versions, but Reflected's version has the correct font for the Squadron code lettering. Greg, this is a beauty mate 1st Class Sir !
  15. Excellent detail.....another perfect reflected skin.thanks very much Greg.
  16. Hi JST,'Generic' in that you can use the skin to have various codes,ie using the numbers that you input in the editor. If your first aircraft was numbered 1,the next aircraft would be numbered 2,and so on. This is so I could have a Staffel (9-12) aircraft utilising the same skin. Would like to have the reddish brown colour for these numbers though,is that possible ?....but yes with the b/w tailband with the Gruppe bar in it. Here's some more pics for reference. Thanks for your reply buddy.
  17. Hi all, Could some fine chap please make up a generic skin for the 7./Jg 26 Staffel of 1945,under the country of the 'Third Reich'so it can be used within the current 2.1 version of DCS Normandy. The Staffel codes and gruppe bar in the b/w tailband were a reddish brown, and after studing some pictures of this Staffel the main overall colour looks like a very light eau de nil green with a camo applied of dark green, dark grey and brown. Would like the skin with Swastikas please,to represent the real historical Fw190 D-9. If this could be created it would be very appreciated, thank you. I have uploaded some pictures as a reference.
  18. Not sure about the bug you're reporting there Magic Zach as I haven't witnessed this myself, however I can confirm that with the Spitfire,3 point landings are the norm, not 2 point.
  19. This is great news BrassEm,looking forward to seeing these.
  20. Great work BrassEm and if you can find a way to make them with the metallic sheen texture all the better IMO.
  21. Either way,if your creating it Greg,it will be perfect.....period !....good on ya fella.
  22. Thanks Phil,appreciated buddy.
  23. Thanks for the confirmation Phil, yes I know how to zero it,but didn't realize that it's normal for this to read incorrectly on entering the pit,a bit obvious really,I suppose, excuse my ignorance. Do we have a chart somewhere in DCS where we can calibrate our altimeter's to the correct QNH and or QFE for the Normandy map ?
  24. Please excuse me if this has been mentioned before, but the Spit's altimeter is bugged,it always reads over 1000ft when the aircraft is on the ground. All the other WWII aircraft altimeter's are set at 0ft,I know the aircraft is still in an Alpha state, but are there plans to correct this please. Or am I missing something here,it wouldn't be the first time, lol.
  25. Yes,same here,no problems with the Spit F/M at all,it's a beauty,in flight you must trim the aircraft, are you doing this ? Also,re ground handling and take off, another must do,is to dial in a full hard right trim on the rudder,to counter act the Merlin's inertia pull to the left, and have the elevator trim set at neutral. When airborne re trim the rudder back,to correct the 'Slip and Turn' indicator instrument. Another tip when ground handling is to as they call it 'dance on the rudder pedals'when wanting to keep the aircraft in a straight line.By this you tap the rudder left, right, left, right, left, right (you get the picture)as you taxi to keep the aircraft going straight line. Flying the DCS Spit is a joy,it's IMO,the best Spitfire flight model of any sim out there and I have flown most,Cliffs Of Dover,A2A Sims etc. I agree with Phil, the Spit flies straight and level for me too, hands off,so if you are witnessing problems,as he has stated these must be down to your control inputs, the flight model is beautifully recreated IMO,no problems here.
