  1. i get stutters while flying the hog in dcs world while performance was ok in 1.1.1.1. so far i've blamed it on the fact that i installed dcs world on a sata3 disk, while the hog is over a ssd. i think we should also keep in mind that this is beta..
  2. yeah, i love the new animations but using cluster bombs has become a nightmare
  3. somehow completely lost menu music. volume at 100%. files are there. I liked it.

Yep, I happen to lose about 50% of my vikhrs to this issue. sometimes, right after launch, I try to give a little aileron/rudder input to keep the target and the missile inside the circle, and this seem to help somehow. Also, the impossibility to engage air targets seems more related to the fact that the shkval doesnt track them, at least for me.
  5. you mean a cobra maneuver performed by a keyboard command? Because, if the flight envelope of the flanker is correctly modeled, it should be possible to do it anyway. I think i'll give it a try
  6. well the longbow would be awesome but the radar thing would make it unlikely imho. same goes for mi-28N. but a ah-64d and a mi 28 w/o radar.. about cargo helis, i'm not much into them; taking out weapons and sensors makes dcs a little more than fsx, sure you'll have infiltration/ extraction missions and all, but how much would the fun last?

  8. any chances the base su-25 would be the sm version? that would be awesome, those birds performed quite well against georgia in 2008 from what i read, better than the georgian ones for sure

    ain't the iff already integrated into radars ? (at least on modern ac) i mean, you don't have to operate them, radar blips are displayed in different ways if the contact is a friend or foe
  10. I'd be interested in the russian voices/english subs thing either, although I see that similar requests have been made in the past but didn't get much attention. I'm sure we'll get a mod or something anyway, just like the one for bs2
  11. I'm loving the toad. Loving it. I'm afraid I'll stay clear of the Mustang, it just seems too out of place and time into our beloved dcs. The toad will keep me all dcsed me until the next modern developments; I'm grateful to the devs for this
  12. in fact I read somewhere that a conventional desktop mouse/keyboard configuration will be retained - ppl will have the option to deactivate the touchy thing and get something like seven, maybe with some added candy. Anyway, I'm in serious doubt fps would improve.. the inverse is imho much more likely. As a pc gamer I cannot help to add that consoles are stagnating evolution of pc games. Dx11 have been out for a while, and only a handful titles exploit their potential, which would give us better quality and better performances. Why? We all know that: as consoles hardware wont' support something like dx11 devs stick to dx9 and.. ok, i'm going ot, but I'm rly lookin forward to nevada and dx11..

  14. yeah, that's my most ardent wish as well. but i'm rather pessmistic about that, especially about multi-cpu support, as it would require very low-level changes to the game engine
  15. yes, it is absolutely impossible to edit the alliances after the mission is generated, but i wondered if it was some way to generate missions within the editor with alliances different from the default: what i've tried is to start a mission from scratch, and assign countries to different coalitions than default (for example: usa, russia and uk on blue side; georgia, israel and turkey on red side, others neutral). then else hit the generate mission option, or play around with the premade offensive/defensive nodes at the various localities. to my grief, the mission generates normally but the involved nations are invariably set back at default: russia, ukraine etc on red; usa uk etc on blue. i don't think this is right, imho some interesting scenarios could be easily created was it possible.

  17. Hi. i was experimenting with the mission generator in both warthog and black shark. Is there a way to make it generate missions with alliances different from the default ones? for example, i would like to create a situation in which usa and russia fight on the same side against other countries and, though this is easy when you create a new mission from scratch, i wasn't able to do it using the 'nodes' or the 'generate mission' option..
  18. in fact, i was using the automatic start procedure. starting the engines manually avoids the problem

In mission 12 of operation medvev2 (the one in which you have to seek and destroy the georgian convoy headed to the front lines out of tbilisi), when i start the chopper, the two rotors collide with each other and they break. tried then to stop the chopper cold and wait for repair, but after that the rotor won't start turning (i get a malfunction light and an ekran msg like "glav red"). now i wonder if this is a bug but anyway i am not able to take off and complete my mission.. i could provide a trk if the problem is not clear
  20. i have a similar question: i bought bs2 as a patch since i already had bs1. both progs reside on a ssd with limited space available. if i uninstall bs1, will bs2 still work correctly? i mean, bs1 is needed to install bs2 as a "patch", but once bs2 is installed it won't need its older bro no more, right?
  21. yes please give us russian radio or at least the option to change it; i loved how it sounded into 1.02 and to me the new radio is an immersion killer.. moreover, if i remember correctly, in warthog if you play as russian you have the correct language audio.. shouldn't be that hard implementing it in bs2

  23. it has happened to me as well. in fact, hdr is disabled before alt-tabbing out and gets re-enabled returning focus to the game. could not recreate the conditions in which this happens though, since often hdr is there from the start
  24. i'd like to have the warthog scenery into bs and fc2 as well, with dx11 and all the latest graphic candy
  25. what about ACs in which workload is distributed between the two crews? for example, f-14 or mig-31. i'm sure that having two players on the same platform would be awesome but in single player won't it be too much for one person manage driving, weapons and radar operation (specially on such planes where radar complexity is enormous).. my only guess is that ai should occupy one of the seats, while giving the player the possibility to choose which position he sits in (of course he should be able to switch positions at any time).. don't know if this could be implemented (without losing realism), but ed is known to make things happen.. and if the next one would be a us fixed i'd like one of the hornet family, with the carrier ops stuff and all. though from what i've seen i fear we're going towards another f-16 sim..
