maybe try clearing the x52 (and rudders if you have them) category and reallocating the axis controls. I find with my x52pro that the game wants to set the slider as collective. I also invert the collective axis so I pull to increase rather then push. if that doesnt work then you could delete the BS2 saved game directory (after doing a backup) from your windows user profile. You could alsotry removing your saitek stick info from the registry. However, if it was woking ok in BS1 then its probably just a BS2 config issue. good luck

yes I've noticed the flashing boxes and even 11.12 has them. Might look at downgrading to 11.6 on my 6xxx if the 12.1 preview doesnt fix it.

Rhinox, I think you will find the actual remote session is peer to peer. Only the initial connection and interface for you client computers is done "online" with the website. I used to use VNC however it doesnt work through proxys and its just not as easy as logmein

logmein.com simple, free and works through proxy servers, should your work have one ;)

you can generate a keylist from the options menu. just make sure you select "game" controls (or something like that). :)

yes, I experienced the same as you, if not worse for a long time. I have a ATI6950 but was still get hopeless FPS. Spending time tweeking the system and in-game options made all the difference for me.

what sort of framerate are you getting currently? I just got an SSD today and have to admit, its pretty awesome! Did some more tweeking on my setup Q6600@3.1 and very satisfied now, this old girl can actually play this game ok, around 25fps average. Just takes alot of work to get it happening! I'm regretting pulling the trigger on a sandy bridge upgrade last week now.. oh well, to late to cancel the order now. cheers

Just got my SSD and copied BS2 onto it © from (D). Now when I start BS2 from the SSD drive I loose my campaign status from previous missions, my logbook seems ok! Starting it from the original place (D) it works fine. Where is this data stored and how can I make it work from the SSD? thanks

A big reason I think I notice a difference in BS2 trimmer is my computer cant play it as smooth (FPS) which leads to difficulty managing trim and flying. On simple "instant" missions its far easier to control and fly, but the campains can be a challenge when the action hots up. I'm talking sub 15FPS performance.

Just remember that the DCS games are CPU bound, chucking in a monster GPU will not solve your FPS problems! I'd get the ram first and tweek the system before dropping $$ on a GPU

why are you running x64 with only 4 gig ram? Get at least another 4gig, setup a ramdisk to run your pagefile, overclock and tweek that thing. You should be able to get decent FPS, I assume your just running a single monitor? I have a Q6600 @ 3gig with 6 gig ram running dual monitor (1980x2280) and runs around 20-30fps in campains with most settings on med-high. Took alot of work to get, but it is possible!

If you want to get the most life out of your SSD you might want to do a bit of research and read something like this If you have lots of ram you could get away with running a single SSD but I dont know why you wouldnt run a storage HDD for apps and games plus pagefile and other temporary stuff you dont want going onto your SSD.

I've found very inconsistent results between installs. At the moment I'm actually pretty happy with my BS2 FPS. I re-installed win7 x64 did some tweeking and reinstalled BS2, now its actually playable in campains at medium-high GFX on 2 screens. Before its was <15fps even in instant missions. I've bitten the bullet and ordered a 2500k et al excited on my first upgrade in years!

Actually when I was looking 2 weeks ago I couldnt find any, but now easy. I got a 64gig M4 on the way. Went with the M4 after reading (alot) of reviews. Was close between the intel 320 and the M4. I guess the best setup for me is SSD for system drive/swap file then setup my Raid0 raptors for game files? Ordered the rest of the system so look forward to seeing what this new stuff can do! The Q6600+P35 served me well but time to move on :(

yes was looking at either the M4 or intel 320. Cant find anyone with M4's at the moment, well not for a decent price.

I've noticed in BS2 that I get the "C" permission to fire cannon and rockets even when target is way off centre. I have it in Auto and in BS1 I only got the "C" when the targeting computer allowed me. This results in me looking in shkval thinking I have satisfied launch parameters and fire, only to see the rocket head down to the ground Seems weird behavior to me.

ok thanks. I'm really aiming for cheap as possible without loosing to much capability. Think the days of high-end hardware having an big edge are over. That asrock board is $120 and from the reviews it performs close to the high-end ones, within 200mhz, when your talking of 4ghz thats nothing.. I'm not going SLI, dont need onboard firewire etc etc Think I'll go 8gb ram and surprisingly the 1600mhz is cheaper the 1333! $40 for 8gb is pretty awesome! might look at a SSD soon, but I'm running raptors which should be still ok for now.

Another query for the hardware guru's I'm going to upgrade my Q6600 as it is showing its age and struggling with DCS games. Looking at getting: 2500K ASRock Z68 PRO3-GEN3 G.Skill DDR3-1600 8GB Will be keeping my old drives and ATI 6970. A couple of questions RAM- Is it worth using 1600mhz RAM, I have read that the 2500k chip runs at 1333 and generally it isnt gaurenteed the board will even run the RAM at 1600? 8gb or 16gb ? Are the RAM timings important these days? Any thoughts on the MOBO? Its very basic but I think the specs are good for the money. Any thoughts on cooler for the 2500K I will be overclocking it but unsure of how much room is in the case until I build it. thanks

sounds like a known bug where autopilot channels disable themselves whist using autohover. Aparently they fixed it in BS2 but I have had it happen a couple of times unlike BS1 where I had it happen a fair bit. Just re-enable the autopilot channels and all will be fine..

as per the title. I'd like to run 2x1 eyefinity. Obviously I can run this setup but the problem is ALL the in game menus and some other main menus are hidden behind the Bezel. I tried softTH, it works great but always eventually crashes with effects.dll error. thanks.
