  1. Yes, I have this module installed I wonder if it is possible fix it by adding/replacing the texture files from flyable module? That would be a quick way around/grease job. Certainly, it should be fixed by the vendor though.
  2. Peronally I avoid hover landings when possible. First you need to hover, and then keep an eye on doppler velocity indicator (better than VSI which feels a bit slow) while going down slowly. So for landing, such as on helipads first lose the alt and then worry about the speed. By the time you are close to pad, it should be less than 100 km/hr. The rest is easy. But of course, other pilots have their own approaches which works fine for them.
  3. Good find. I use trim hat for roller adjustments while 2 four-way buttons for heading and alt AP channels.
  4. there are two search lights besides taxi light in game Mi-8MTV2. Fun to use them on other player's craft on airports while hovering
  5. Take a screenshot just now in 2.1. Not sure why can't I see this bug
  6. Good idea: There are the discussions. In short, it is not modeled and no plans to do it either down the line https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=115196&highlight=IR+jammer https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=119748&highlight=IR+jammer
  7. never mind, this question was asked before. I was using wrong keywords. Blame it on bourbon and hazy fingers on keyboard
  8. There is a bulge like installation at the rear of the helicopter as shown in the photo. This seems like IR jammer if I am correct. Is this modeled and working? (of course, it won't do magic and be 100% effective all the time). Search didn't yield anything so asked here.
  9. can confirm. Landing/Taxi lights are not working as intended in 1.5 and 2.1. And they stay extended despite you drop the lever in pit. Somehow they are also connected with Exterior Nav knob. Not sure if it should be like this.
  10. For front attacks, I'd rather arm Mi-8 with UPK-23-250 pods and kill them personally in a very intimate way. ;)
  11. would giving autopilot adjustment orders to engineer help specially before/during landing phase to keep things "smooth" ? is this done in real life?
  12. They just want to enjoy the scenery while hitting their ultimate demise
  13. Autopilot seems to be not working in 1.5. Can someone check it? If you check in the Kneeboard, it seems to be off despite you pressing ON combination (default LWin + A) edit: 2.1 seems to be alright
  14. bummer. I didn't account for this. Are you facing jitter issues with ch pro throttle?
  15. The latest fix as of 08.09.2017 has fixed the issue of white gauges in 2.1 as shown in the screeenshot. Took it for flight and turned 360 both in land and in air. Thanks for the fix :) However, I am not sure if all dials and panels in pit should have red back-light for night time visibility.
  16. Thanks doe the tutorial for R-828. Gotta check how it works with units respawning
  17. Ya, love them UPK-23-250 pods. Those green tracers look lovely from trigger pressing side.
  18. I am curious. How your desk looks like with these two setups, and how much of space you have:D
  19. With Mi-8, you need to plan your landing way ahead, and come low and gradually slow. Not like Huey's where you can come fast (in comparison) and land like you may see in movies from Vietnam. Obviously if 3rd dude could move his ass, open the door and tell you your position during hover then it might have helped too. This video from POV might help. Notice how the guy slows down his Mi-8 gradually without gaining alt, pitching his nose up, turns horizontally while slowing down even further, lands at the end and right at the spot. Do observe his seating position (seems a bit higher than game) and at what point he is looking out of the window (edit: do we have similar POV type video for UH-1H as well?)
  20. Alright, I'll try to answer as much as I can based on what I know in sim. Might be wrong to jump in to correct me. The radios in Mi-8 can be defined in two categories. Radios for communication СПУ-7 (SPU-7) intercommunication set (ICS) Р-863 (R-863) VHF/UHF command radio set Ядро-1А (YaDRO-1A) HF radio set Р-828 (R-828 ) LVHF radio set РИ-65 (RI-65) audio warning system [*] Radios for navigation АРК-9 (ARK-9) automatic direction finding (ADF) set АРК-УД (ARK-UD) VHF homing set ДИСС-15 (DISS-15) Doppler navigation set СПУ-7 (SPU-7) intercommunication set (ICS) There are two uses for this radio: Talk to other crew members. This you don't need in game. For this reason it is under communication radio category. Use as a selector to select other radio to monitor. Р-863 (R-863) VHF/UHF command radio set Two-way voice communications in the VHF range of 100 to 149.975 MHz and UHF range of 220 to 399.975 MHz in AM or FM modes. 20 preset frequencies defined in mission editor. Selected via selector (R-863 channel selector panel) or manual frequency control (R-863 frequency control unit) I guess it is only for communication with Air Traffic Controllers, AWACS, JTACs etc. Ядро-1А (YaDRO-1A) HF radio set Frequency range 2-17.999 MHz though the dials selection seems to be in KHz. Not sure if it is being frequency used by map creators and players Р-828 (R-828 ) LVHF radio set frequency range is 20 - 59.975 MHz Used in VOICE (voice communication) and HOMING (VHF homing using the ARK-UD system). Seems to be working on preset frequencies by map creator. Frequences are selector with a selector knob РИ-65 (RI-65) audio warning system' When helicopter wants to talk to you or complains about its miserable life and pain going to meeting at work. will continue later
  21. Thanks for the info. Learned something new. Wonder if it is implemented in the module. Might be no since it is not that much of a need. There is a discussion about beacons fixing in Open Conflict server. Now before going ahead, it would be nice to know the differences of these radio sets, and why so many are needed etc. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3234122&postcount=2721
  22. Awesome. Thanks for the info.:joystick:
  23. just saw these frequencies on server on a rescue mission.
