  1. exactly
  2. You might want to read ChickenHawk...your predicament was basically a regular occurrence on many of his missions: https://www.amazon.com/Chickenhawk-Robert-Mason/dp/0143035711
  3. I havent had to rearm yet...but Repair works at the FARP.
  4. Very enjoyable mission!
  5. Can anyone verify where the pull down for the season is in the ME. All I can see if selecting the date. Thanks. Los
  6. Add the ability to acknowledge rio calls (hence it stops) or ask for a repeat of last call.
  7. Does setting the terrain textures to autumn just mean picking a mission day in the fall. Los
  8. DB, That's a great find.
  9. Just finished Four...good thing I read Chickenhawk!
  10. I guess I'll repeat what most every vr user, (vive or rift) has said regularly here and on other flight sim forums. The feeling of flight in vr and the enhancement it gives to the experience outweighs any loss of graphic fidelity. Its hard to go back to regular monitor and trackIR after vr flying for any period of time. Los
  11. This kind of bs argument has been the bane of flight simulators for 30 years. Oh this or that plane is going to be the end of the world. Guess what, the pilot makes the plane. You have a Pheonix that shoot 50 miles? Right now on any given server, its barely clear who are fighting who at 20 miles and people are rightfully cautious about launching missiles into the fray. Mig29 worried about an F14? Fine use terrain masking and EO to lure him into your fight. There's no need to soil ones drawers over what might happen. And anyway its clear that ED and the third party vendors have a schedule of what they are doing in mind and are sticking to it.
  12. Multiplayer capability is mission specific and had to have been designed or built that way by the author.
  13. The room scale features on the Vive also increases W/G-A and reduces SPR significantly once they try it a few times..... (Wife/Girlfriend Approval and Spousal Purchasing Resistance) ;)
  14. That's why god invented the HOTAS. If you are flying in close formation and you have to stare down at a small nob with your headset to get the cursor on it and then click it with a joystick button...that ends in the exact same disaster. If a button is critical enough that you need to use it while actually maneuvering and having your head out of the cockpit, use a controller. In the case of the Huey, tell the copilot to fly the aircraft for a few seconds. The head cursor aiming is better than nothing...certainly it's a nifty implementation.. but the mouse at the end of the day is more accurate and quicker. A physical control of course being the best overall. (esp for radios). Los
  15. Yes lets the move company somewhere else because maybe some dude is going to have to justify to himself why he got shot down by an F14.
  16. Yes to do this on Nevada, because its a paid piece of terrain you would have to buy a second copy of NTTR for your second install.
  17. This is assuming you have a basic familiarization with the ME. Create a zone marker at the point you want smoke. Create a new trigger. call it whatever you want. In the next (center) window create the condition for the trigger to start (when you want the smoke to start). For instance if you want the smoke to commence at the beginning of the mission you can select TIME MORE than X seconds). There are options to commence the trigger when this PART OF COALITION or PART OF UNIT enters zone X or Y etc. Then in the final window (create action) select what you want the trigger to do. There is an option for SMOKE MARKER to create smoke on a zone or SMOKE MARKER ON UNIT to pop smoke on a specific unit and even what color you want. You can find further details on the DCS world manual.Page 80 covers basic trigger set up. Page 92 is the actions list. Cheers Los
  18. These mostly work: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=174745 In particular the f4, f18, tornado, harrier, f16
  19. 1. I installed the campaign itself into saved games/DCS/ missions/campaign/en 2. Stairways DCS mod can be installed via Jgsme 3. I installed the liveries into saved games/DCS/liveries/uh-1h
  20. I have completed the first three mission great work Wavehopper! BTW to see Starways Vietnam terrain textures doesn't the mission have to take place in an Autumn month? Los
  21. Another thing...it is possible to confuse climbing with pitching up. Depending upon the speed, the aircraft may need to hold nose up pitch just to maintain alt. Are you seeing an actual climb or pitch up attitude? Los
  22. Guys the Trim works very slowly, like 30 seconds to a minute just to get to three degrees...like watching water turn to ice. Did you give it enough time to work?
  23. This whole thread led me to fixing the problem I was having w my brand new lilliput 8" monitors. I had everything going through a powered hub plus to usb fans. The monitors were cutting on and off. I took out the two powered fans, and now the monitors work well. Thanks! Los
  24. It depends on what your visual situation is. If you are near-sighted, you dont need to wear your glasses. Most glasses users that have used my vr headset did so without glasses and without issue. But two were very farsighted and had problems seeing things up close, they had a difficult time without wearing glasses but when they put them on and then adjusted the headset, all was fine. Los
  25. Because I fly center stick I have found that using the mouse to activate switches not on my hotas is not an issue at all. It's faster than trying to stare at something just right and activate it w HOTAS controls.
