  1. If you want an all around capable aircraft that can dogfight in Air to air (Radar and IR missiles/guns) as well as drop iron and Laser guided bombs, the Mirage 2000 would have to do for now. The Viggen has strike capabilities, but is a little more limited air to air, so I feel the Mirage might more fit your needs and is closer to what you were doing in Falcon 4. Los
  2. It could be an issue of where you have saved your missions. If you are in Windows 10, this is: C:\users\Your User Name\Saved Games\DCS\Missions Otherwise, when you save a mission in the ME you can hit save as and navigate to where you want it saved...and navigate to that location in the Multiplayer setup screen. Hope that helps. Los
  3. Are you assuming that if one fighter turns on his jammer it jams the whole strike package he is with. That would require a dedicated jammer bird. I have seen two fighters in close proximity light up their ecm and each one generates a separate narrow strobe. So now I don't believe it is a bug.
  4. Another oddity I have encountered...any attempt to use an AFM aircraft on a carrier..eg Harrier or F18, it immediately explodes when you spawn in.
  5. Well if an outstanding Harrier read is called for, one must first start with Sea Harrier Over the Falklands: A Maverick at War by Commander Sharkey Ward DSC,AFC, RN Ward Commanded 801 Squadron in the Falklands. He flew over sixty war missions, achieved three air-to-air kills, and took part in or witnessed a total of ten kills. Great read. Los :pilotfly:
  6. I have been flying in vr exclusively since it came out and have a decent cockpit built and set up for vr. I have a warthog which already has about every switch I need on it, and I have two mfds as well that gives me more switches.i haven't found any issue in finding the right switch when I need it and I have my mouse readily available if I need it. A sim shaker completes the ensemble. My favorite thing is, after I land I pop open my canopy then switch on the fan to my right. My cockpit comes up to about where the sides are in the virtual ac, so I put an elbow out and I feel the breeze as I look out there in vr. I should add that part of preflight it to hit escape, go into control setup and feel my way through the controls reinforcing muscle memory, since I fly multiple ac.
  7. There are some good scripts in the mission building section that will meet your needs where ai can mark targets with smoke for you.
  8. Actually I fly with two military pilots in our DCS group, both Rotary wing, and they are forever disgruntled by the dirty cockpit glass. They consider it completely BS, and, as they put it, the first time they get in a bird and experience that kind of shoddy ground maintenance work, they would, and have , been chewing on some ground guy's ass, and his sergeant as well. 9. Look down to your left and you will see a no frills collective.
  10. SO regarding what works where... I am patched to the latest version (DCS 1.5.5.60565 Update 5) My experience.... VSN_F14A works great VSN_F18c & c works great (No radar missiles work egAGM84 not LGBs) VSN_Tornado: Works great but in the editor I don't see the aircraft when selecting the skin VSN_F4e works great VSN_Harrier works good but cant land on carrier as far as I can tell VSN_F16 works VSN_Ada Mod...none of these aircraft work
  11. Our procedure, is that One guy says, Take control (or ask for control)...the guy who has control says You have control of the plane, then the guy who wants control presses the button and say I have control. We haven't tried equal control which is how it usually is in planes, with control passing over by the above mentioned verbal procedure. Also at all times either player can flip switches, drop gear, etc
  12. There are several servers that also have coop and or areas where no shooting at anyone is allowed etc... Los
  13. I am running this script with MIST and CTLD and they all seem to play nice together, I have MI8s and UH1 s in there too (Client side) without any CTD.
  14. This kind of got broken a few patches back..(In Nov) .we have been using CTLD to do troop transport operations in the mean time.... Los
  15. I too am enjoying this mod, thanks to all the efort put in. I have Some questions: SEAD The Tornado works well as a SEAD aircraft with the alarm, the F18 though it can carry the AGm 88 seems more problematic does anyone have the 88c working well with the F/A 18. Re F18 I can ground stabilize the FLIR but not really lock things up for LGB drop..Any tips? Re The Harrier, Can this thing make a stol or vtol landing? I can see that the flaps move the engine nozzle, but not sure if it does anything. Anyway..great mod. Los
  16. Ok thanks...that's how we did it w two players, was hoping to try three players. Thanks for all your effort. There is a scarcity of su 33 operations and campaigns. Our mp group are slowly getting checked out on carrier ops and we are having a good time. Los
  17. I have a question re the Multiplayer version: It seems to still only have one player slot in there. I ended up having to take the version and adding a second aircraft for each slot then changing it from bf109k-4 to SU33 in the actual mission file using a text editor. Was the MP version supposed to allow more than one player to fly at a time? Otherwise I cant see any difference from the regular version. Fun mission BTW, the two of us had a good time with it.
  18. If I have a mission that already loads Mist (so I can use CTLD) will running this script as the first script negate me having to run script after? Will running this and then script cause any hinkiness? Thanks. Los
  19. My friend and I flew multi crew on my lan today for about 2 hours and it all seemed to work fine. Most errors we encountered were our fault, and a few minor synchro issues such as front and rear landing gear levers not syncing but over all quite smooth and an enjoyable experience. Los
  20. When I first started flying VR I would feel some nausea...now none at all.You brain gets used to it fairly quickly. Also I have a sim shaker seat as well, that adds to the immersion. Ignore for now the obvious argument that staring at a 2d screen while flying with non-tactile feed back is even less capable of delivering info than in vr, yet somehow we have come to enjoy that experience. Same for VR. A few of the guys in our group are flying vr regularly and frankly going back to regular non vr flying is now a disappointment. We've got our Warthog and controller set up and head set and even the sim shaker seat, so this has brought the flight sim experience for us to a whole new level, so you'll hopefully pardon me if I'm scratching my head at your claims that vr is total crap.
  21. BTW don't know if this means anything, but my buddy and I flying a MP carrier mission I was hosting. I was not able to get off the carrier but he was...and we have F5e-3s in there.
