  1. I can confirm this has happened as recently as a week ago. I can try to find a track file but I clearly had gbu-12 selected on the right MFD and when I went to pickle it launched a 120. I had to push the OSB that already said GBU-12 to select them again. I was in A-G mode and had a CCIP pipper.
  2. Make sure there are no windows behind you that the camera is looking at. Also you can boost the IR lights in the camera itself to help drown out background noise.
  3. Thanks for the reply. Indeed an update on this would be nice.
  4. Not doing proper decelerating transitions is usually the problem for most people.
  5. Are you guys ever going to fix this. It needs to be ground stabilized. It simply does not work as it does IRL or in literally any other aircraft. It's been 11 months at this point. Please fix it.
  6. I use left throttle for it. Right throttle for engine since it has most of the hotas controls. Works great honestly. I have the friction slider set for my zoom which works great as well.
  7. Hornet or harrier too. But the mirage is fine for a little A/G work. Spotting ground targets takes a little practice but is far easier than spotting air targets.
  8. It's possible. But you are usually making corrections of some sort so you will likely be at least at 1-2kts GS in the hover.
  9. I don't know if the gimbal damage has been implemented yet. But those tutorials are incorrect. A lot of those same tutorials also have you turn the manual fuzing knob which is also incorrect. You do not need to use the IR cool switch on either the sidearm or the AIM-9 either in game or real life.
  10. There's a bunch of threads about it. They borked it with the med prf update.
  11. My warthog pinky switch is a little wonky about it sometimes.
  12. Thanks :smartass:
  13. It will already calculate CCIP using radalt and INS like most aircraft. ARBS just makes it more accurate when you have something designated. It's working jut fine.
  14. Because we have the ARBS.
  15. No. Absolutely DO NOT turn the IR cool switch on. 1: You shouldn't be turning it on at all unless you have a system failure that prevent's the AIM-9 seeker head from cooling OR need to cool Aim-9's while on the ground for preflight checks. 2: You do not use them with sidearms. It will uncage the seeker head and cannot be returned to boresight. 3: When the sidearms are properly implemented number 2 will cause damage to the sidearm because it will allow the seeker head to repeatedly hit gimbal stops damaging the seeker. 2-153 in the AV-8B Tactical manual
  16. Can confirm this happens both in single player and on our multiplayer server. This is not a hornet exclusive issue. It's an issue with the ships in general. It happens to the harrier as well.
  17. Check your parking brake. It doesn't seem to work with bound keys until you actuate it by clicking on it. Make sure it's definitely set or the INS won't accept inputs.
  18. I hold back stick as I'm taking off vertically since you want to bring the witches hat to the horizon line anyway. Once you have some altitude just easing off the back stick starts the forward transition. Also when doing a STO from the tarawa you wan't to bring the witches hat to 14 degrees which is where the pitch caret marks are. This increases your AOA to produce maximum lift. This is why on the british ships with the ski jumps they use a 30 degree fixed nozzle takeoff. The ski jump put's the witches hat exactly on the 14 degree pitch caret marks.
  19. I had this happen once. I had to switch from preset to manual and tune the frequency and then it worked.
  20. I haven't had any problems with it in self made missions.
  21. Basically what zhukov said but make sure your nozzles are set at 10 degrees, as they should be set for all taxi and conventional takeoffs because it disrupts airflow over the wing/flaps. Don't forget to trim 2 degrees nose down. Edit: For clarity you can use more nozzle than 10 degrees during taxi but you should use no less than 10 degrees nozzle with flaps at 25 degrees.
  22. The problem is that that isn't always possible in multiplayer lol.
  23. Sorry for misunderstanding you. It's possible that the departure itself isn't quite realistic, but my guess is that it might be related to the damage model not being finished.
  24. You got that right. Went to do some 25kt crosswinds landings in the harrier. 50kt crosswinds on approach. "Attention passengers if you go ahead and look out your right side windows you will see our glorious runway."
