  2. The problem isn't razbam trying to screw you over m8. And they haven't abandoned any product. The problem is that razbam has 2 coders and way more 3d modelers. The reason they can tease videos and show work on a bunch of different planes is because they are all 3d modeling stuff and have nothing to do with the coding. If the 3d modelers had to wait for the coders to finish an airplane before they move on to the next 3d models razbam would have been paying most of their employees to do nothing for over a year. That's stupid. So when all the textures and models are done on the harrier they move on to the next project while the coders keep working on the harrier. When the coders are done with the harrier (eventually) they can immediately start coding an already modeled and textured aircraft. They probably need to hire another coder though imo.
  3. Aside from the Bap-100 which is useless because of ED's runway damage model, and the tfr what's missing from the mirage. Not being able to use the synthetic runway on non-waypoint runways is again a limitation of ED. Everything else on the mirage works as intended save for very minor non-game breaking bugs like the cp/pd display being backwards until you edit it.
  4. I think it's because they changed the default position of the parking break. It used to start engaged by default and now it doesn't. So before you could reset your throttle without actually moving the in game throttle because of the parking break, now if you reset your throttle before startup you move the throttle and take it out of idle cutoff because the parking break isn't on.
  5. Yeah I see how that could sound odd lol. It isn't natural though for two reasons. One, they seem to grow relative to the canopy. By that I mean you zoom in a little bit and they get huge, it's like having a half inch thick gash in your canopy except it's a spider web of them that completely obscure your view. Two, IRL your eyes can focus past them and they aren't a big deal or they would have been buffed out or the canopy would be replaced. It's already hard enough to see things in dcs because your brain can't compensate for movement or shaking, which is how humans easily spot moving objects. Your eyes can't focus on distances because you are in fact looking at a screen not far in front of your face, and DCS is limited in resolution compared to your eyeballs. We don't need another thing making this needlessly more difficult. The canopy wearing works great on the mirage. It needs to be like that on the harrier. I also shouldn't be able to see less of something when I zoom in, that's just counter intuitive haha.
  6. You haven't had the time to click a checkbox in the menu.... but you have time to fly? If you meant learning the radios I'll explain it really quick. The knobs under comm 1 and comm 2 can be scrolled over to change between the preset channels, the numbers in the tiny display by those knobs, E which is your guard frequency 243.00, and M which is manual frequency also the default. You set the manual frequency by left clicking the knob instead of scrolling it and entering the desired frequency on the number pad and click ent. It's that simple.
  7. You mean slew the TGP down. Slaving the TGP means having it controlled by another sensor, in our case the DMT which can be slaved to the EHSD. There is a master sensor and a slave sensor. It's really easy to do that from miles out. Make target area a waypoint. Select correct waypoint. On your EHSD click Desg (bottom left osb). Slew TGP over the diamond on your hud. Until TGP slave is implemented that's the best we can do.
  8. Just go open the manual and click INS. It's the first thing. Start engine. Set parking break. Open EHSD. Click Data. Click A/C. Input coordinates if required. Move INS switch to appropriate align setting. Wait till qual is 0.7 OK. Move INS switch to IFA. done.
  9. No. I don't think the slave function is operational. Point track needs fixing among a few other things.
  10. I gave that advice in the other thread. I had an issue once last night where the engine start switch remained engaged even at 9.2 percent rpm. Make sure your engine start switch has automatically turned off on top of the throttle cut off being engaged. Started right up after I turned the engine start switch to off. Also check the fuel cutoff lever. A couple of times recently I clicked on it and it didn't disengage. I thought I hit it, but I guess not.
  11. You need to align your ins. Note on alignment. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=219070
  12. Works fine for me. This isn't a relevant thread though.
  13. Beta. It was at dawn. It's about the same as it has been though but it's stupid that if you zoom in the scratches become giant. I wish they had them like they did on the mirage.
  14. I was on last night. Still couldn't see the airport 5nm away if I zoomed in. It's absurd.
  15. You can click it whenever you want except for in flight. It just puts the throttle below idle detent. It wont start if it's in the idle position. This can happen if you accidentally move your throttle before startup. You also use it to shut the engine down. I usually make sure throttle is in cuttoff during my pre-start checks.
  16. They are saying they do get them on the F/A-18 but not on the harrier.
  17. Are you sure you throttle is in cutoff? Bind throttle cutoff to your end key. Hit that before the engine start switch.
  18. You are only supposed to use the AFC when getting to the tanker and setting up your switches. Turning tacan off, getting the fuel probe out, setting flaps, working radios. Once in formation you shouldn't be using it at all.
  19. If it is modeled it's absolutely minuscule. I pretty much guarantee it's not considering you can park right behind an aircraft taking off and it has no effect on you whatsoever. Also, you can fly trail directly in jet wash and have no issues either.
  20. Spend time flying formation. You need to practice that first. Spend like 20-30 minutes just flying formation near the contact position before even trying to tank. Work on your throttle. AAR really isn't that difficult in the harrier, in my opinion it's one of the easiest to tank with. Post contact it's really easy to keep in position. Ignore the tanker calling breakaway. It's broken. If you are having trouble refueling that slow with the flaps in cruise, try it with them in stol. Sorry to say it's you my friend. You just need practice.
  21. To add to this for WVR, the mirage is also a much better angle fighter than the F-16 at pretty much any altitude unless you are heavy and they aren't. It's got a couple degrees instantaneous per second over the F-16. Play for snapshots. If they go vertical extend at max climb to mitigate it's energy advantage. It's climb rate is better than an F-16's although the zoom will still be faster, but it eats energy. You should be able to fairly easily beat a 16 in a one circle fight or if you can drag him into the slow fight. If you find yourself on the defensive WVR I've had really good results with using a defensive spiral to drag them to the deck and forcing them into a flat scissor. There isn't a single fighter in DCS that can beat the mirage in a flat scissor.
  22. Are you getting the lock cue, just missing the tone or is it both?
  23. What version are you on? I was just in a flight and it was working on the beta
  24. If they were using max wet thrust I guess it's possible that EGR could ignite. I don't think you are supposed to use max thrust in reverse because of EGR. Couldn't say for sure though without seeing it.
