  1. that would be great joey :) have you already tested if multiple spawn locations work? regards, RR
  2. hi gents, nice to see some folks like ships as well :) would there be any chance that someone adds a Wasp-class amphibious assault ship into DCS? would be realy cool ;) regards, RR
  3. funny, 2 days ago i found the this aircraft without even looking for it :D CLICK ME
  4. "RALT+ \"works always ;) "RALT + #" on gernman keyboard. RR
  5. update to my procedure after a flight for rearming: - refuel to 25% - rearm ammo / bombs - refuel to 98% so three individual refuel/rearm calls. bug is known, no complaining from my side, this works for me in MP. regards, RR
  6. go there: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/subscribe/
  7. most likely been said before by someone, but all you need for the time beeing is a "save mission" button. i.e. set up the mission you wanna fly, and then save it after the flight before leaving the 3d world. that would allow a lot of things, and honestly, some genius minds will script lua files that will make the dynamic thingy come almost true, if you can save it ;) anyway, as DCS:2.0 will be in one exe as wags said, it might be possible, that exactly that save mission feature will be added as well, who knows, lets hope for it :) regards, RR PS: thinking about logic and AI, does someone remember this Ants game, where you actualy had to programm the behaviour of your ants so they do what the should do? quite interesting ;) Ants Challenge
  8. noone said an aircraft needs to be symetrical, aye? a sudden loss of a wing will cause something, not arguing there, but after or if the pilot recovers, a flight is most likely possible. other aircraft where build that way, see here: BV-141 yo-yo, wouldnt it be interesting to programm a flight model for this one? :D RR
  9. how to take off, well, thats pretty simple after all. i highly recommend that all who can take off, go try it with different weather each time and see if it still works ;) so thats what i do on take off, and it works every time: initaly my stick is full back and a bit to the right, rudder right as well. i move the throttle slowly to the takeoff RPM, and the rest of the time i almost exclusivly watch the Artificial Horizon / Turn & Bank Indicator. i adjust rudder left when the vertical needle goes right, and the other way around. dont correct to fast, do it with "feeling". essentialy thats all you need to go straight ahead in ANY but the harshest weather. ca. at 120 kph i center the stick with a bit right aileron, and again giving rudder as before. for me thats the trick. regards, RR
  10. title says Super Hornet, that would be the F/A-18 E, done by CTD, so you might check there forum for updates. RR
  11. fictional skins are fine, but for galland, wait for the 109, and then please this one, including the mouse :) and it would be fictional as well, as the one above is an emil, no kurfürst :P regards, RR
  12. off topic for sure, but how much german knew the "English speaking Russian programmer operated with the German original manual" BEFORE getting into the 190? guess you learned quite a bit there, as i did 25 years back when almost all games where english only ;) regards, RR
  13. had that right now again, for me it worked to "refuel" to 85%, as even with 98% it wont mount any bombs. after that it worked. let us know if that works for you ;) regards, RR
  14. i copied the foldes from aircrafts to aircraft, NOT overwriting the existing ones. all working, but i dont think that is intended, and a fix will be there soon ;) RR PS: repair doesnt work. after my copy actions i run repair again, but it closed without finding problems.
  15. title says all, obviousley the 190d wasnt used in africa, but there should be enough paint schemes that could be used, now that we get a desert map :) regards, RR PS: i want to thank ALL skin artists on this forum, it is incredible to see how many skins for all the aircrafts are done even without having official templates, THANKS!
  16. i see the difference between those two aircrafts, but if you like low controllable speeds and landing/starting on a soccerfield, then that one must be good for ya as well ;) Fieseler Storch although i believe you know it already :) regards, RR PS: i had the opportunity to see one fieseler at an airshow, just crazy looking at hit flying along the runway, but not moving faster than myself walking down the runway on a windy day ;)
  17. The other major element of DCS World War II: Europe 1944 is of course the new Normandy map. The team is currently working on a new combat theater map to support DCS: F/A-18C Hornet, but once complete, will be returning to this map. At that time, we should be able to start sharing images of the new era map, complete with period ground units. PS: guess skatezilla was a bit faster, lol
  18. nice newsletter, cant wait to get that hornet :) anyway, would it be possible to clarify, if the map for the hornet will be sold within the hornet module, or if we have to purchase both seperatly? dont get me wrong, paying for a map is fine for me, lots of work be made for one map of a usefull size, but how will it work? i.e.: - all maps seperate purchase - all maps seperate purchase, but some aircrafts might bring the theater with them - all modules seperate, but there might be bundles that give a discount compared buying seperate modules (Aircraft + theater) if you ED already know how you want to do this, i would appreciate if you could explain it, guess some folks in here needs to know how much money to safe away for this stuff :D regards, RR
  19. well, in all it's variants, the 109 is the most produced aircraft of all times (roughly 33.000 build). for THAT reason, i would like to know, how fast we DCS guys will top that number with crashes due to pilot errors :D regards, RR
  20. hi and welcome here. i strongly recommend using the search function for maps. anyway, the current one is the only one, and ED is working on a nevada map (nellis AFB, test range and vegas :D ) and a WWII setting normandy map. VEAO has some plans for maps, check their subforum for more detail ;) regards, RR
  21. no need to be offended mate, just covering possibilitys, more so as a friend of mine and myself found exactly that effect to be in place ;) regards, RR
  22. exactly, so the procedures are identical as well, and as most people i know tend to fly without the fuselage tank fueled up (except when they need the extra fuel), you wont find a difference while flying. ;)
  23. JG 71. JG2 was in world war II, but both had/have the name "Richthofen". regards, RR
  24. cant say much here, but i have to say, that after some more takeoffs i can hold the 190 straight on the runway, and the rudders are doing a good job there. (auto rudder unchecked, set to 0%, just in case someone questions) but i guess yo-yo could help there? in english this time please :D regards, RR PS: otto, i saw you yesterday on the VA server, so just a side note: IF you have auto rudder on and 100%, this will NOT work on the server. there you have to do it all manualy atm ;)
  25. i would suggest you fly the TF-51D and see if the mustang is something for you anyway (if you havent done already). if you feel, that having guns, rockets and bombs on this aircraft is just the big thing you miss, then get the mustang, else i say test out the dora, it is a lot of fun to fly, just like the mustang, but feels like having more power in my opinion ;) regards, RR
