somethin like these @maler?

not taking you difficult, and totaly in agreement there mate ;) problem is, that we could fill a book with logical educated guesswork and would be totaly wrong in the end, thats why i kept it short ;) the engine WILL need fewer resources when released then it needed IN development. what resources that are, and what features will come, no idea. guess we all are looking forward to it, and will be suprised in one way or the other ;) PS: guess the original question was answered, as there is no answer to it (at this point) :D regards, RR
-
i agree outlaw, but have to think, that usualy the requirements would be lower as the software is beeing optimized while beeing developed. anyway, we will see when it gets released someday, until then i save my money. ;) regards, RR

wasnt there an ED Tester on this forum who somewhen stated "the current build of 2.0 / edge is running pretty good on my system, see specs in my sig."?
-
thanks mate, that looks realy interesting :) regards, RR

nice stuff. @xcom, do you think its possible to write a second file? thinking like this: when you have flown the mission, you have a radio item added, call it up, and it saves a list of all surviving units to a file, including the coordinates. as far as i understand, it should be possible to create an empty mission then, load the information of that file, and use dynadd? function at mission start to spawn the survivors of the last mission at the places where they actualy have been at the end of the last mission? RR

thanks mate, looks like already in the works/done :D regards, RR

hi gents, small question, is it possible to open a txt file with LUA Script and write to it? the idea would be to write the names of all destroyed units from a mission to that file, so that after the mission i could alter the original mission more easily. if so, it would also be nice to write the coordinates of all surviving units to that file by using a radio call (i.e. F10 others -> save coordinates) when the mission is done. would be quite some workload to give unique names to all units and placing the survivors to the last known location, but at least it would work then. i know, that the info is there and can be read, but can it be writen to a file? thanks & regards, RR

nice looking work mate, and i like the 105, but as shagrat asked for an ADAC skin, well, i just cant resist :D especialy from below that might look funny, haha keep up the excelent work ;) regards, RR
-
welcome mate, and thanks for telling us the solution for that problem, interesting ;) have fun damaging your bird and being able to repair it now :D regards, RR
-
maybe just a personal thing, that orange one landed literaly in my backyard as well, lol
-
if you want an ADAC version, i would be happy with the one below (Christoph 3). used to work in the hospital for a while where it was stationed ;) PS: maybe add the little church as well? :music_whistling:

well, now its getting interesting i'd say.... please download the attached mission and enter the cockpit. in the radio menu you will find "F10 others" entry. after hiting F10 you can hit F8, it will show a message if the keystroke is accepted. thoughts: F-8 changes your view to target, so it IS working in the game. so lets check if it is working with SOMETHING in your communications menu ;) RR f8_key_test.miz
-
dont know if you tried, but have you checked, if F8 is still set for "target view" in the options? if so, can you see that view inside a mission? trying to figure, if the key is not working at all, or just not for that radio item. regards, RR

actualy i think everyone understands what you want, and you are right, music is important to many experiances you may have in life and / or media, including games. old folks might remember wing commander 1 back in the days, one of the first i'd say that did that quite good ;) on the other hand, i do not believe, that it was anytime intended to add something like this into DCS, as it was simply not meant to be an experiance like i.e. wing commander. an option to activate it or not would indeed work, but is highly doubtfull to be ever added in my opinion ;) but sure, it can be asked for, nothing wrong with that! ;) regards, RR

well, if you want it realistic, then i would love to have the option to stream per IP. as you can right now place a triggerzone in that at a set frequenzy an audio file is played, why not create a script that reads from an IP stream? technicaly you could include the life local radio stations from around georgia, or any other map for real, or just add other ones by your likeing. ;) for the realism part: i dont know how often (inofficial) pilots switch a radio to a radiostation, but they CAN, so its pretty realistic to have it :D regards, RR
-
speedy should try, not you :D the reason is simply, i dont believe that it is because of a mission file, and most likely it hasnt to do with an installed module. but to make sure he shall try another aircraft like the two free ones. if it is working with them, than it must be something with the mig install, if it isnt, well, then we can guess a bit more ;) anyway, i dont believe anyone of us can replicate it, seams to be a more "personal install / hardware" problem ;) regards, RR
-
hi, could you jump into a TF-51 or Su-25 and check if it the same with them? regards, RR
-
interesting, thanks ;)
-
is that correct/intended? "im auftrag der reichsbahn" ? means: "by order of state RAILROAD"? never heared of it, but may of course have been a pilots joke back then because of the red/white stripes ;) regards, RR
-
http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=378 you might want to go there me think ;) regards, RR
-
i suggest you create a small mission, just BLUE side A-10, and BLUE side column off vehicles including tunguskas. that way you could try to identify them with the luxury of not being shot ;) regards, RR

hi folks, just a stupid idea: to spawn a helo you need either an airbase, ship or farp. we cant move an airbase, and the farp seams to be hardcoded of some sort. so while thinking of this line (GT.Landing_Point = {-55.3, 4.73, 0.0}] ; in the perry lua file, wouldnt it be an idea to just create a nw ship module (like others did already for the uss cole i.e.) and offset the landing point to the place you want to have it? i would think it COULD work, although i dont know how BIG the coordinates are allowed to be, and if its possible to have a weather condition in that the ship doesnt move, cause the helo would be affected by it. thoughts? regards, RR

very nice model mate, i like it! any chance to get it before you finish animations? i would love to build some missions with it, especialy while waiting for other aircraft releases! ;) regards, RR
