    Years ago Wags mentioned that if they did an F16 it would be an F16CJ which would make it a block 50/52. Hopefully that's still the case.

    I guess it varies with different reviews but if you look at the Silicon Lottery results you'll see a higher proportion of 8600Ks overclock higher than 8700Ks.

    Well. I run a 4K TV and if I drop the resolution to 1080p thats still significantly better IQ than I was getting with the Odyssey. Again, TVs vary and DCS settings as well so YMMV. DCS 2.5 is gorgeous. Running it in VR felt like rolling back to 1.2 or so. But of course thats with 3D cockpit immersion. Its a tradeoff thats difficult to explain in a forum post. You might need to try it yourself to judge.

    The rift IQ will be rubbish in comparison. Try running your 4K TV at something like 800x600 resolution and playing DCS. This is what the rift will look like, but with the added benefit of 3D. For me the trade wasnt worth it but YMMV.

    Its not an assumption. You can directly see its about 9 or 10 seconds burn and thats its almost certainly a T because of the shape of it and the fact the yemenis never had ETs.

    Its quite obvious from that video the burn time is >6 seconds. Closer to 10 infact. So either the 6s burn time is incorrect for the T or the missile in that video is an ET, which seems very unlikely.

    It does look like a T. Does anyone have reliable pictures of a T and ET side by side so we can compare?

    Most of these issues can be mitigated with sensor fusion and some of the other advanced features that may be present such as buddy/awacs guiding etc. I really cant think of any reason why you would not want increased range, particularly NEZ. I disagree. I think we're approaching a time where missiles are becoming much much more deadly. You cant 'dodge' them and you cant 'spoof' them. Youre best bet is to outrun them and avoid being caught within RTR. Given the above I think reliable detection range (both launching platform and missile) and the size of NEZ will be the key dictators of air combat.

    Not yet in my experience. I went back to my 4K TV after trying the Odyssey for a few days. Maybe once the Pimax 8k or google/LG HMD thing are released.

    Unless im mistaken im sure I read a review from a user here of a bugeye throttle which was somewhat mediocre.
