  1. Thank you grunf appreciate the help. Makes I am going test around a little more with this functionality this evening.:book:
  2. I don't want to depart from the main topic but I have noticed that the radio tuner has A, 2, 3, T that are available. What does the A and the T do? What would they be used for? After reading further posts I found this: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=171558&highlight=adf However I am still confused does T=1? I wish the manual explained this a little further.
  3. I haven't had problems with the chute... but I have noticed that the Aileron trimmer is a bit too drastic for comfort not sure this was intended or if the real jet is like this as well. But yes cannot seem to get the plane trimmed as perfectly as I would like. I can do without an autopilot if I can fine tune the trim.
  4. I have even found that the numbers provided in the manual are not highly accurate... I have found with MK-82 to release at 30 degree dive angle at 400 kts at a 2000 ft AGL (Above Ground Level you must account for elevation) that aim off 35 Depression works quite nicely. Its probably different for everyone though... The key is to practice practice practice until you are tired of it... then practice a little more. Then one day when the time and the wind is just right you will drop a 82 down the open hatch of a T-90 and it will all be worth it. :pilotfly:
  5. I fly both the MI8 and the Huey. To me the Huey is much better in the guns and rockets role(can't hit the broad side of a barn in the MI8. But for long distance flights and ease of flying the MI8 is awesome (MI8 is just comfortable to fly).
  6. This new wing vibration with the sidewinders is completely awesome. Belsimtek is doing a great job on this sim.
  7. I found this interesting. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=177560&page=4 I am not sure what NATOPS is but perhaps it can be investigated.
  8. Design limitations probably did not suite the Vulcan. The feed mechanism appears more bulky than the individual design of the M-39s. Feed system weight likely played a roll as there isn't a place more to the center of gravity that cannons will fit in the F-5. These are all assumptions. The M-39s work AWESOME in my opinion. I like the way they work and really think they are excellent in both A2A as well as A2G.
  9. Try setting take off trim...its under the dash on the left side of the HUD. You will want to set that to 6-9 depending on the weight of your F-5E. Also make sure you extend your Front gear the switch is just to the left side of the throttle. This will give you a better take off angle of attack and shorten your take off roll. :joystick: Generally depending on your load out you should rotate between 150 and 175... 175 is max ground speed and you almost always blow a tire if you are still on the ground at that speed.
  10. You should be able to change the rate of fire on the Kneeboard. Should be the first page when you open it. There is key mappings for this that MUST be done before the plane is started.:pilotfly:
  11. If you do this however you will not pass validation for servers that look for this in Multiplayer. Your shield will be RED not GREEN therefore you will not be permitted to play . There are servers that do not validate this and you can play on those servers just fine. :pilotfly: My hope is that they remove the restictions on the seat belt. There are several areas of not simulated. Start crew animation, repair, refuel rearm. I don't know why the head movement restriction is such a factor.
  12. This would simplify things and make it much easier to see aircraft that are on the radar. You if you detected a bandit at 10 degrees radar elevation you could then match the elevation bar on the radar to the 10 degree marker and know that the target is right on the nose.
  13. I agree much easier... Thank you for the update Belsimtek:thumbup:
  14. I can appreciate this dedication as well however I strongly disagree with limitations on head movement. The F-5 has a exceptional field of view which cannot be taken advantage of for situational awareness. This puts the F-5 even at more of a disadvantage in combat. There are many times that when I get jumped by a Mig 29, SU-27, or Mig 21 who do not have the same restrictions. I find it difficult to place Track IR restrictions on some aircraft and not others. This is over simulation in my opinion. It is hard enough to fly in a simulated combat environment without a simulated seat belt digging into my neck while trying to check my six. Please allow us simmers ability to have playability without restricting our Track IR. I have modified my views.lua file with in the F-5 to take advantage of the view... however I am limited to servers that allow for this. I wish Belsimtek would reconsider this limitation.
  15. I have been fairly successful with the 530Ds but I have to be close. Even at 20,000 feet the AI or human pilots always notch(or put me at their 9 oclock) which makes me lose lock this defeats the missile. I always wait until they are within 6 miles to launch that way they don't have time to finish their 60-90 degree turn for the notch. This does not help me when facing a Mig-29 or Su27 with Radar missiles. I must notch them and defeat their missiles first. ECM helps a little.
  16. Even the F-5 has step functionality which allows the radar signals to be separated momentarily so the radars can be identified.
  17. I have recently decided to supplement my Online play with a few campaigns. I have played the Campaigns with the A-10C and the Huey and pretty well completed them... however the reason I haven't continued to play the campaigns more often is because each time you start a campaign there is no way to save the campaign progression. For instance lets say I start a 45 -60 minute mission on a campaign... and my wife calls me to help unload the groceries from the car. When I back out of the mission it registers as a FAIL or incomplete and there is no way to go back in time to re-fly that mission. I have tried the Fly again after a quit but that isn't available in the campaign. Am I missing something? or do you have to restart the campaign each time you fail a mission?

    Ins help

Disregard I figured out my problem... I had the Setup menu set to "INS does not require alignment". I changed this setting to unchecked in the Options menu under M-2000C and tried it again and it works. Sorry about the confusion

    Ins help

Ok I tried it with both Ground power and with battery at the same time... still no VAL light and no blinky Align Light. See below attached. It will not align the INS without the VAL step or the blinking Align. Can any one verify that this is happening or is it just me? I did this numerous times before over a month ago when INS became available. I had it memorized... However when I tried it recently I never got it to work. I then reverted back to the Manual... and verified I was following the correct steps... the steps never say to connect a Ground Cart or Ground Electric Power. However now that I tried both Battery and Ground Power it still does not work.

    Ins help

Yes ... attached is a screen shot of my progress. Below are what the instructions say My issue start at Number 4 the ALN does not blink and the VAL button does not light up. Standard Alignment To start a standard alignment, you must: 1. Set the PSM Operational Mode in N. 2. Set the PSM Mode in VEI. This will automatically select PREP Waypoint 00 3. Check that the Aircraft position in Latitude, Longitude and Altitude indicated by the PCN are correct. Change them as needed (see Data Entry for more information). 4. Set the PSM Mode knob in ALM when you are satisfied that all aircraft position is correct. Once the PSM is in ALM, the following will happen: a. The ALN yellow light will blink. b. The VAL button will light up. 5. Click on the VAL button to start the alignment process. a. The ALN yellow light will become steady, indicating that the INS is aligning. b. The VAL button will go dark. 6. At this time you can edit other waypoint data. 7. The alignment process will abort if: a. You click the PSM Mode knob to another position. b. You try to edit the Waypoint 00 data. 8. You can check the alignment process status by clicking the PSM Operational Mode knob to the STS position. 9. The ALN yellow light will turn off when the first coarse alignment (Class 4) has been reached. At the same time the PRET green light will start blinking. At this stage it is safe to abort the alignment process, the INS will remain aligned but its precision will be very low. 10. When the PRET green light has become steady, the alignment process has ended and the INS precision is the highest. You can

    Ins help

I have been away from the M-2000C for a month or so. But have been impressed withe the improvements and upgrades. However I cannot align the ins as I did before it will not start the alignment when I do the posit verification in VEI the move to ALN. VAL is not lighting up nor is the align and alignment never starts. I am following the manual. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance. :joystick:
  23. The point I was trying to make with Razbam was they enforce a 8:00 realignment of INS even if power is connected during repair( because they have to roll you to the hanger) however that act is not simulated. So to be nice to everyone the add a menu option to turn on or turnoff the feature this made it acceptable in almost all communities. I really do hope BST does this with f-5e as well. A menu option to see if you want your track ir limited by seat belts.
  24. I couldn't agree more there are time when a simulation purposely inhibits actions that don't seem necessary set lets limiting eye movement is one of them however belsimtek is not the only one. Razbaam is doing it too with the m2000. It is impossible to simulate everything. So why try make the game playable it Already has tons of draw backs in the game why simulate a seat belt?
  25. I was playing last night in NTTR server. I was loaded with Bombs. Prior to take off I set my depression for Manual mode on the sight for the bombing run I planned to make (60 MILS). Once selected I checked the Depression to ensure it set and it was. You could see the Sight drop to the bottom of the hud glass when going Manual mode. Next I took off for target area to find there was air threat there. I switched to MSL and turned on my guns and Missile Master Arm. I then turned toward my base and egressed to evade a Mig-29 threat. During the flight back to base the Sight pipper would got go back to depression setting I previously set which was 60. The sight maintained the MSL setting even though I switched to Manual. I tried to change the MIL setting while in Manual mode and it would not change. I even did a repair back at base and it still wouldn't change the only way to correct the issue was to get a new jet. This is a real problem with the F-5Es ability to switch from Air to air to air to ground. BST please fix this issue.
