Track with Voiceover: A-10A_Campaign_Mis002
Woodstock replied to Ironhand's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I know exactly what you mean. I´ve produced several tracks for our internal recruit training and in one I made a mistake that I decided to leave in the voiceover even after correcting it in the text. I have to explain myself to every recruit since. I think in the future we will fire any recruit who doesn´t find the mistake for not paying enough attention to the material we provide him with... - just kidding. -
Track with Voiceover: A-10A_Campaign_Mis002
Woodstock replied to Ironhand's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Hey Ironhand, seems like you never stop tracking!;) I´ve got to comment on this one though...: 1. First and strangely, the track doesn´t play correctly for me. Your wingman is shot down already while u turn cold after your second attack run where you launch on the two SAMs. You yourself get shot down by the Osa on your first recon pass after having fired all 4 Mavs. I started the track several times, always with identical results. (V1.11, no mods, no problems before or with any other 1.11 track) 2. I don´t want to show off or harm your reputation as the finest and most productive LO-track producer, but you´ve made a mistake/misjudgement. Upon ingress enroute to waypoint 2 you first encounter a Tor and an Osa. Shortly thereafter you make a huge effort circumnavigating, overclimbing and looking out for what you mistake as two Shilkas. - But what in fact are two hostile Mig-23s... I´m not blaming you, Rich, I bet everyone of us made this mistake more than once. That´s why this SA issue can´t be repeated and stressed enough. The otherwise vanilla westerns RWRs have this little built-in trap that some nails can be mistaken for muds and vice versa if they are additionally marked as primary threats. You have to look very closely to see the small additional "roof" symbol that distinguishes a primary threat F-15 from a primary threat Tor. Popping up below the ceiling sure would not be your best tactic against two hot Floggers... - thank god your CAP took care of that. I´ve seen those errors and the resulting fatal tactical decisions from time to time. It has something to do with our way to play LOMAC, with our specialization: Hog drivers are bound to mistake Mig-23s for Shilkas because the Floggers are so rarely encountered online or in training missions with AI. Eagle drivers just love to mistake the Tor for a hostile F-15. If that launches onto them, some think it´s a good idea to drop down to the deck to dodge the expected AMRAAM or Sparrow. They´re doomed. I hope you agree with me that it´s better to bring this up publicly than PMing it solely to you, thus enabling the whole community to profit from it. So, gentlemen, there´s even more to learn from Ironhand´s track than he intended to teach us... I´d say that´s what marks a truly extraordinary instructor!:D -
You´re all welcome!

You´re welcome to do so anytime. Just contact JaBoG32_Chrissi for upload instructions: webmaster@virtual-jabog32.de or chrissi@virtual-jabog32.de We are currently in the process of converting our own Basic Jet Training tracks into videos - so sorry, no capacity to help on that end...

We would be gladly willing to host the videos as a mirror for ED.

Name & Shame (possible) LOPE CHEATER
Woodstock replied to 504MrWolf's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Rumble dishonorably dismissed In the abovementioned case, the JaBoG32 pilot and flight leader Rumble has been found guilty as charged. He admitted cheating several times on public servers and forgetting to change his nickname this one time. He furthermore admitted using several discrete nicks while cheating, one of them being BARCAP. Therefore he is herewith dishonorably dismissed from the vJaBoG32 online squadron by unanimous decision of the Staff, effective immediately, for damaging our reputation and breaking our rules. He is no longer allowed to use the JaBoG32-nametag and to act as a member or in the name of the squadron. We are sorry to lose in him a very good pilot and an active flight leader! vJaBoG32 Staff -

Yeah, I know... If only my few humble demands would be met by any sim at all... - what a Christmas that would be!;) -

Today JaBoG32 Command received the following screenshot taken by MrWolf on the famous VVS504 Public Server: We highly appreciate Wolfie´s decision to inform us first before posting the incident here himself. His effort to protect our good name in the community is to be commended! S! We are taking the incident seriously and will put it under thorough investigation, taking into account all possible explanations. We would like to express our commitment to the battle against cheaters and our apologies to anyone whose gaming fun was spoiled during the incident! JaBoG32 Staff -

Black Shark I don't want to wait
Woodstock replied to Kusch's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Why are we comparing AK47 and M-16 today anyway? That comparison was interesting during early Vietnam war, when US transitioned from the 7,62 (x39 or x51) M-14/AK47/G3 age to the small 5,56 projectile by introducing M-16A1. The red side of the world followed later with the 5.56 AK74. The time setting of LO for example is already 20 years ago and at that time AK47/7,62 had already become a "3rd world weapon", while Combloc was using AK74. Didn´t anyone of you play OFP?:icon_wink -
Beautiful:icon_excl Can we get your permission to host it in our download-section? http://www.virtual-jabog32.de

Thoughts and ideas on FC 1.11
Woodstock replied to DaveRindner's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
re: chute Make shure your joystick button or keyboard command generates only once the "deploy chute" command. It´s a toggle, first press opens chute, second press releases chute from aircraft. Maybe you generate the command multiple times, in that case you will lose your chute right upon opening. re: wheelbrakes They are significantly less effective than those on the other aircraft without AFM. Initially you barely notice them having any effect upon deceleration, anyway they are working. Just hold them engaged and you will slow down... slowly. re: plug-ins, add-ons You´re not the only one who would kill for new theatres and aircraft or whatever. There are none because there´s no SDK or add-on permitting architecture. The developers and Ubi are not willing to share or open anything. I just wish that one day the source code becomes public one way or the other like it did for good old Falcon4. That single event kept the sim alive and improving for many years. Did anyone at Ubi and ED ever read the "Third party add-on agreement" for Falcon4: Allied Force? - Sounds like the way to a brighter future to me! -
Tactile feedback chair perhaps interesting?
Woodstock replied to AndyHill's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ah, ok. Disregard, then it was just a grammar issue. -
Tactile feedback chair perhaps interesting?
Woodstock replied to AndyHill's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Why did you send it back, sounds as if you liked it...? @ EVIL-SCOTSMAN: Great, thanx for not forgetting to test. Looking forward to the results! Don´t expect too much though since some devs replied negatively to my queries... -

Woodstock replied to AndyHill's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Price for the piece is $239,95 plus $43,79 shipping to Germany (DHL, 2-3 days). I just checked the pre-order calculator on his website and for Scotland, UK it´s exactly the same. Don´t forget your local customs will add VAT to the parcel so include that in your calculations. I´m expecting it to be around a total of €270.- VAT included. If you need any info on the kit check out http://www.ivibe.com Cheers m8! -

Woodstock replied to AndyHill's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I´m having an eye on the intelliVibe "cushion" for quite some time now and already put the bucks aside for one unit plus shipping to "old" Europe (oh sorry, we have new chancelorette - now the CIA is torturing "friends" again... sorry for OT). As soon as it has native LO support it will be ordered. @ ED: Please, stop ignoring Craig:icon_excl ... or at least tell us what keeps you from cooperating... -
Why do British fighter pilots
Woodstock replied to britgliderpilot's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Having personally witnessed the enormous amounts of beer and port British flying officers usually drink after flying at the officers´ club, I´d say they DO record all sort of cool footage but don´t remember the next day and just overwrite it with recordings of their children playing in the garden...:icon_jook -
I´d rather say 95% of us would look like her if we had to sustain all the g-forces we ignorantly pull in our dogfights... :icon_oak:
-
Calm down, buddy,:icon_jook Don´t give in to the troll, re-gain your center, cherish all the great features this guy misses...;) The milflightsim community has more important problems to concentrate on than internal flamewars. Sad as it sounds: he flies Falcon and likes sims -> he´s one of us, despite his behaviour. He´ll get the bigger picture some day...
