List of all available NDB- and VOR-Sites
Lino_Germany replied to Lino_Germany's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Updated version 1.4 is online. Version 1.4 - Consideration of "active runways" - PRMG and RSBN channels / frequencies for L-39 Albatros implemented - ARC channel 4 of Sector 3-I near Kutaisi implemented Next step will be the Mi-8. Anyone out there with suitable data on-hand (PRMG, RSBN, channels, frequencies)? I do not own the module. Link for update 1.4: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/585582/ -
Aktive Runway and related Navigational Aids [PDF]
Lino_Germany replied to Lino_Germany's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I find it very curious that Maykop and Krasnodar-Center only have PRMG support at certain wind speed and direction... -

Aktive Runway and related Navigational Aids [PDF]

The nevada map will have a much clearer presentation compared with the caucasus map. Significantly fewer airports, NDB´s etc. If there is a benefit in making a beacon map for the nevada theatre, I'll think it over. -
Aktive Runway and related Navigational Aids [PDF]

The two appealed "inner beacons" are no runway markers, but rather NDB sites. As such, they are not mentioned. -
Aktive Runway and related Navigational Aids [PDF]
Lino_Germany replied to Lino_Germany's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
This overview in fact was just made for myself prior for an update of the "beacon map" (http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/588673/) and the "beacon list" (http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/585582/). But I can certainly update this stuff with additional information if desired. It would be a pleasure to participate with your work, Tarres. I´ll send you my email-address. -

The arrow points in the right direction, mate. -
After some testing, it seems that PRMG at Maykop airbase is available for runway 04 only. That would correspond with the markings on the map...

Here is mine. DCS Profile Su-27 Flanker.pdf

ED manual, page 157 Additionally, the mechanical indicators, located on upper surface of each wing, provide visual identification of flaps position.
-
ED manual, page 155 It is not possible yet in DCS World to make a difference between "ask permission to take runway" and "ask permission to take off".
-
Thanks. I guess this should enter the "Beacon Map" in some way...

There is a lot of confusion about - Active runways at certain airspeeds with tailwind/headwind - Runways equipped with RSBN and/or PRMG or nothing of that kind Is there any overview / spreadsheet available that gives a clear picture what´s going on at each airfield of the caucasus theatre?
-
Thanks for the kind words, mates. This is much appreciated and promotes motivation doing such stuff in spare time.

It is possible for mission designers to set the L-39 just with the front seat available. This in my opinion the only way yet to be sure you are alone in the bird. Otherwise everyone can join even if you are in flight. If you don´t want a copilot, the only way yet ist to ask him for getting out of your plane. EDIT: Cheers John, you were faster.

ED L-39 Flight Manual (PDF), Page 141 1. This should be read "7. PITOT SYSTEM LINES OPEN, FAILURE SIMULATION SWITCHES OFF" or "7. OPEN / OFF" 2. This should be read "9. «0» or «δ»" (depending on navigational desire) 3. This should be read "8. ALL ON" or "8. ON" with yellow square around «NETW», «SIGNAL», «ARMS» and «INTERCOM GROUND» switches.

ED L-39 Flight Manual (PDF), Pages 140/141 Numbers of both the "Bottles Interconnect Valve" and the "Oxygen Valve" are reversed There is a contradiction between closed and opened valves, which particular valve is meant to be opened or closed?
