  1. A good approach is to turn the R-832M radio control panel to channel 0. Then you can speak to the ground crew even though the turbine makes some noise or your canopy is closed.
  2. For me, it does not make any sense to turn on the vital oxygen system at an altitude of 4,000 meters or higher. I want to see into the pilots face when he turns on oxygen system and then recognises that the system has a failure.
  3. That's awesome information, tarres. Thank you.
  4. L-39C Technical Manual: I don´t know if the fuel system is simulated in that depth, but you can get an idea that there is a great scope reading the fuel indicator.
  5. For the C-Model there are 150-liter external fuel tanks available. For the ZA-Model there are the larger 350-liter external tanks as well as the smaller 150-liter tanks available. It is not possible to influence the fuel transfer sequence.
  6. Deftinetly yes. I recommend the kneeboard builder (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129341) for implementation of PDF files.
  7. Version 1.4 with L-39C "REAL PILOT" Start-Up, Taxi and Take-Off Checklists added. Based on real pilot start-up procedure ( ). Download link: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1468985/ Hopefully some admin is able to move this thread to where it belongs. Thanks.
  8. Battlefield illumination, CAS on unarmored convoy, navigation mission, air-air engagement, reconnaisance mission, aerobatics challenge, low alt flight challenge, formation flight challenge, time trials, Ground Command with Combined Arms Module...
  9. I can't see that he turns on oxygen supply... Isn't that an obligatory item on start up? I'd like to see a landing pattern as it is in reality.
  10. The aircraft communication system consists of an intercom set and a VHF/UHF radio. The intercom provides the following function: - Inter-cockpit and cockpit to ground staff communication - Connection and mixture of all audio signals to be applied to the headset - PTT, transmitters and receivers audio's distribution The intercom system is powered by 28 V DC and is switched on by "RDO" switch located on the main CB/switch panel in the forward cockpit or by "INTERCOM GROUND" C/B located on the miscellaneous CB/switch panel in the aft cockpit. To activate the ICS transmitting, one of the PTT buttons located on the throttle grips in both cockpits shall be pressed. In the aft cockpit, the PTT button is doubled with the button located on the stick grip. - "INT on stick" [RAlt + RCtrl + RShift +I] is the intercom button on the stick of the rear cockpit. - "INT button" [RCtrl + RShift + I] is the intercom button on the throttle of both cockpits. - "RADIO button" [RAlt + RShift + I] is the radio button on the throttle of both cockpits.
  11. Thanks for the reply, SL PAK. I´m sure the frequency was 1064 kHz before V. 1.5. Although this little one kHz will not impact the tuning quality of a particular NDB, I´ll fix this with the next update of the beacon map.

    A-10C Start

  13. Due to the small space that is available and that it is not possible to zoom the map manually at the kneeboard, this will not satisfactory work. You have to use the beacon map preferred with Windows Photo Viewer (easy zoom function with mouse wheel, fast image formation) on a separate monitor / laptop computer. An alternative solution may be the use on a tablet or a mobile phone.
  14. There is a typographical error in version 1.43: Gudauta should have ATC radio channel 10 for the L-39 Albatros. I´ll fix this in the next update. Thanks for reporting to user slpak.
  15. Exactly my opinion, mate. +1
  16. Take a look at this video: Here one can see very nice the startup in a huey with similar equipment as the UH-1H simulated in DCS World. Incl. "Position the throttle as near as possible (on decrease side) to the engine idle stop".
  17. I´ve prepared some checklists for the L-39C, based on the T.O. 1T-L39C-1 technical manual. Maybe that will help: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=146451 The T.O. 1T-L39C-1 can be found here: http://www.anythingaboutaviation.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Aero-L-39-Flight-Manual.pdf Although they have the best offer, the content from http://www.l39.com is not affordable.
  18. There are new physical RSBN-4n beacon groups near some airbases. The specific channel of each RSBN beacon group you can read in the mission editor map. I´ll implement that data into the beacon map soon (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/de/files/588673/). 1. Set the correct channel on the RSBN-5S control panel of your L-39 Albatros. If there is a valid radio reception, two green lights will appear. 2. The RMI shows the airplane bearing. 3. The PPD-2 shows the distance to the targeted RSBN beacon group. 4. Here you can change via the RSBN mode selector switch between "Landing", "Navigation" or "Glide Path".
  19. The ANF-2 works very well in DCS 1.2.16.
  20. I am working on a guide with focus on your questions. Although it is not translated in english language yet, it may help somewhat. Einsatz der Funkausrüstung in DCS World Version 0.14.pdf
  21. I´ve uploaded the new version 1.43 of the beacon map. The file can be found here: Changelog: - Implementation of the L-39C ATC radio channels - Reworked the classification of all available aircraft in frequency categories. Now it is more handy to assign a specific aircraft to the related ATC frequency - Some minor changes (Thanks to Piston85 and majapahit)
  22. There are a couple of icing sensors at the outer fuselage of the L-39. They will only work reliably if there is an airstream (which is of course during flight conditions, or in case of windy conditions on the ground). If there is no air movement and the aircraft does not move, there is the risk that the pilot will not get a warning of icy surfaces at the fuselage. This CAUTION-warning reminds the pilot to this circumstance.
  23. Very nice gesture, my friend.
