  3. Sithspawn, thanks for your patience and thanks for updating this information. But my guess its that this post or others will be in spiral unless RRG or ED creates a big explanation about whats going on. I backed a 3rd party so that they would create a module. The fact that ED its taking the project its great, but also please understand that's not what I paid for. I was hoping for RRG to take care of the full WW2 area of DCS, so they can put resources and a fresh view into DCS so that ED doenst have to put money, time, resources into it. I wanted a specialized team behind this so our questions, bugs, suggestions would taken care off, so that DCS WW2 would be a product in it self. not depending in ED. Why? because I know ED its a small team, that has to set priorities and cant fix everything as fast as I would like. Yes. I understand somethings are not out for discussion, but RRG has the responsibility to explain what has happened to OUR money. So I hope you fix your problems internally and then, write an explanation of whats happening.
  4. ok.... Its disapointing to see a another 3rd party developer just go away... Makes one wonder if there's something wrong with the whole 3rd party process. My faith in crowd founding, at least in DCS its non-existant at this point. Hope you guys can figure out whats wrong and start improving the development process. Its been years.. since 3rd party development was anounced and only belsimtek (partner of ED) delivered 1 chopper and another in Beta. Thanks for ED to support us backers, I just hope this doesnt slow down the process of EDge, nevada and the F-18 P.S. This post should also be in the non backer section of the forum, theres still a few who dont have access here. If RRG departure was for politial/security/personal issues, I hope the best for them

  8. In DCS. the Merlin Engine on the P-51 is one of the most realistic I have ever seen on a combat simulation. But its still far from perfect. The damage model its very unrealistic. Its either working normal or its completely dead. I really want for RRG to create a more realistic damage model on its engines. If a piston engine IRL its overheated it gives you all kind of warnings Visual... by the temp instruments and smoke caused by the temp of the oil, and evaporation of the coolant liquid Sound... A very important way to know your engine its not working as it should Physical... Vibrations ETC there's a hundreds of parts that can get damaged in an engine. and in DCS apparently there's only two of them either its the engine it self and it completely stops or its the prop governor and your RPM gets stuck. I want cylinders to get hit, turbos blown, magnetos damaged, spark plugs fouled, loss of compression by overheating, coolant leaks and evaporation (smoke) All airplanes in the RRG repertory have a very different set of engines "problems" and "advantages" The Spitfire its a nightmare when it comes to temperature control, cowl flap too close and it gets hot, cowl flaps too open and it creates more drag than its worth and low speed and in gets hot. P-47, Turbo managment, its not automatic like the P-51, I want to be able to blow the turbo by pushing it too far, or at the wrong time! (low throttle, hight turbo) and sturdy radial engine air cooled. BF109, realistic pitch control (AUTO/MANUAL) , lets get over that myth that the RPM its automatic on the BF109 And to all windmilling props!!! only very heavy damage would keep your prop static when flying at 300mph
  9. Yes, HE 219 was the first airplane to enter combat with an ejection seat in 1943. The stuka never had ejection seats. This was only for prototypes.
  10. To give you a general Idea.. The Mig21 was asking for $15,000 to be founded. WW2 Module was asking $100,000 to be founded. Glad to see both exceeded their goals

  12. Wind directions ME vs. in-game vs. BRIEFING SCREEN Yes... The METAR info on the winds its "from" international... Russian metars uses something like this 09005MPS To specify a wind of 5 m/s from the east Aaaa falgrum beat me!
  13. i understand perfectly your opinion and in my country I use S.I. all the time.. But in aviation in most of the world imperial unit are the standard.. Either we like it or not (thats another story). And if we are going to fly an a-10 or any non-russian airplane the briefing and ME should have the option to change its values to imperial. We can change coordinates dont we? Why not units? And its not that my scientific ability doesnt let me do conversions from m/s to kts.. Its that I learn to fly using imperial units and to me, its much more natural.
  14. Yep... Its for phonetic reasons.. Same reason number nine its pronounced nainer. And same reason they change the "position and hold" to enter a runway and hold there to "line up and wait" They could get confused with other instructions. Funny thing, in spanish the word "wait" sounds almost the same as "take off" Imagine all airplanes recieving order to line up and take off hahaha... We change it back to position and hold

  20. Ok.. all charts on question have a max of drag index of 8.00 having 3 Mavericks on each wing add to almost 8.00. And with a few bombs its very easy to get numbers up to 10-15 range. Does that mean that any load above 8.0 its unrealistic?

  23. Ok.. No experience on LUA scripts andafter several hours reading im having problems creating my first and very simple script. The mission is a training ground for our squad. (Multiplayer) There is and instructor that has different abilities, mark with smoke tarjets, activate IA units etc. The mission is working now with Mission editor triggers. I am ussing the "Addradioitem" trigger for the instructor to be able tu turn on/off various flags. But the problem is that the F-10 radio menu is already filled and confusing. what I want is to create a Script to Submenu for the instructor. I would Like help in creating something like this. F-10 Other ...........Option1 ........................Submenu1 ........................................Turn Flag 1 On ........................................Turn Flag 1 Off .........................................Turn Flag 2 On ........................................Turn Flag 2 off ............Option 2 ........................ Submenu2 ........................................Turn FLag 3 On ........................................ Turn Flag 3 Off With that script I should be able to understand the proccess and add my own sumbenus
  24. Hi. Im trying to create a MP training where the flight instructor can create specific failures via radio command to another flights on the session. Is there any way to script this?? Cant find any reference of Failures working on MP.
