  1. The same problem.. I cant find a way to do this part... y copy the text file at the end of the templates.lua located here \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\MissionEditor\data\scripts But doesnt appear on the templates menu on ME
  2. Not Yet... still in beta
  3. Excelent Idea.. Count Me in... Callsign "Alfredo"
  4. I just Run the Auto Updater of the old 1.2.7 Open beta and no Updates....
  5. I got that after being shooted down and having to autorotate..
  6. from Dudley Henriques, a real life P-51 pilot and instructor... posted on another forum.. "There is one overwhelming point about the rudder trim on the 51 that should be completely understood by everyone. That 6 degrees of right rudder trim is NOT pre-set before takeoff to solve the forces acting on the aircraft during the takeoff run. You do that with rudder and aileron used in conjunction with a COMPLETE understanding of airspeed and how increasing airspeed increases dynamic pressure on the control surfaces. What that 6 degrees right trim ACTUALLY gives you is an optimally trimmed out airplane at 46 inches and 2700RPM which is your first power reduction AFTER takeoff. " now... In DCS the trim doesnt really work as a real life trim, what it does and acording to the control viewer (R-ctrl C) is to move the actual control surfaces (aleron elevator rudder). So in DCS moving a trim is like actually moving the rudder. wich is another limitation of DCS
  7. I rather have a finished product 1 month earlier than a cool website. But they have a very clear set of goals during their kickstarter campaign so if a website was promised with backers exclusive and constant updates... And they dont deliver, what is waiting in the future? The problem with Kickstarter is that it is like a political campaign!, you just have to make promises for people to give money. I mean they say we might get a february alpha... and its march 5 and they cant even show a screenshot in the DCS engine. Now that they have won the election and they face the real life of development, and having the same problems that all 3 party products in DCS have to face etc.. Its hard to keep up with that promises. In the end what really matters is the final product. as long as I get the promised airplanes at the level of DCS P-51D. Im happy. The real problem here is that all 3 party producers are having issues for different reasons.. but not counting belsimtek (wich its a DCS partner not a 3 party) NO airplane have been released... And that hits really hard on the community and the trust. Now with the trust been damaged by past products... the worst you can do is for new products to offer unrealistic promises. and so the Kickstarter campaign will recieve less money and so on..
  8. THe Idea of heavies in the sim is great but first I think they need to improve this issues. Bigger Map... much more bigger map... Improved TACAN and VOR Improved Weather engine!!!!! Shared cockpit!!
  9. Electric fuel pump was on? Did you try changing to an internal tank after you lost pressure? Most probably the fuel pump was off
  10. My two cents.. In my experience as a commercial pilot. Looking out for traffic is very common, theres lots of planes in the sky. and as a sim pilot i usually think is much more easier to find airplanes. because at distance they are usually a black spot on your monitor. In real life, even using a TCAS (traffic collision avoidance system.. a little device that tells you exactly where to look for) its a little harder. Sometimes we are looking for a traffic just in front of us, heading our way a couple of thousand feet up or down and we spot him just 5 miles or less.. sometimes we dont see him at all. And also theres times we can spot them at 20 miles or so. It depends alot! on the background.. a nice cloudy day makes much easier the job.. I think the eye can spot an object moving againt a "static" cloud much easy. But when the traffic is over a city is much more difficult. If the traffic is a Helo at 500ft and your ar above, forget about it.. you are never gonna find it. For me the tipical black spot in sims is much more easier to find. At night... its completly different.. the strobe light in DCS are way to dim...in real life you can spot them 20 30 40 miles..
  11. I also want to know the answer.. Have you find out how to do it?
  12. I agree. The engine should quit after a while at low rpm. Because of the spark plugs fouling. This is not simulated. And I hope the ww2 module helps dcs in someway for a more complex simulation of engines. And update de p-51 Now.. Very rarely I had my engine quit at ground at low rpm.. But probably was another factor
  13. Little Bug with the Starter Once you remove the left click it should come down. Again its spring loaded to off And red cover doesnt turn it off. Its not a feature, its a bug. Anyway will start using keyboard for the starter ;)
  14. OK. so the Starter switch is spring loaded to the off position. But When you follow the next steps it stays On even if you close the red cover Left Click on the starter and keep it pressed, then move the mouse to the Mixture and right click(and release) it to "run". engine starts and you release the left click. At this point the starter stays ON. And you need to turn it off manually, because the red cover doesnt pull down the switch.
  15. Mig 21 !!!!!!! Salute!
  16. The only thing we are doing different is that we hop on in the mi8 after the pilots were downed. It does appear a message saying something like this "mayday mayday pilot ejected ### bulls eye ##" Maybe there has to be a csar pilot before the plane is shutdown. Also, no info on the downed pilot in the f10 menu.
  17. When an pilot ejects, one troop appears as the pilot downed, but when we try to rescue him either on MI8 or Huey, we cant seem to find a way to extract him.. Any advise. All else, great mission! Played today 2 A-10 2 ka 50 and Mi8 No errors
  18. same problem as above.. just happened once
  19. Excelent work here!! I think a great improve would be to add a possibility to import a Mission file .miz into it To show weather, flight plans. This will make multiplayer briefing much more easier
  20. wowww amazing mission and script... Would the script be aviable in some way to create out own missions? (once the MP problems are fixed?
  21. I own both... They are completly different because of different platforms. FSX and DCS Both planes can be "flown by the book" a big PLUS for the FSX one.. is the engine faulire systems, much more realistic and seems like the DCS is lacking a lot on this aspect. a big Plus on the DCS... you can shoot things!
  22. Remember distance given by atc is in nautical miles, distance in the doppler is in kilometers
  23. fixed, thanks
