  1. hi, it's the same issue we discussed here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=201122 the old cockpits aren't interacting well with deferred shading at this time
  2. just to add to this, I've been testing the missions and this happened to me at the end of mission 1 just now. no more radio prompts after the short final call for the touch and go EDIT it's working now with the updated version. appreciate all the hard work that went into this and I can't wait for the red flag campaign
  3. doing a replay of the campaign for 2.5, and on mission 3 the tanker pilot voice wouldnt trigger (the lady flying it) and then I wasn't able to actually contact the tanker on any channel. so i just ended up using f10 to skip the AAR. Otherwise everything has worked for me so far
  4. Anyone else not seeing cockpit lights turn on at all in 2.5? for example the datalink lights, autopilot lights, and the instrument lights for night flying? To me they are always dark now
  5. thanks guys. guess i'll wait for a fix and play other campaigns
  6. Can anyone confirm if this is working? I can't check because itwill take a long time for me to download
  7. what about doing the AH-64A, or an older version of the AH-1, or would that still be too heavily classified?
  8. my guess is the new caucasus map will greatly increase the enjoyment of using CA and ED will hopefully see this and improve it/add features which justifies the price increase IMO
  9. our sun becoming a red giant and cooking the earth is also not a matter of "if", but "when" :) joking aside I am hopeful for the future and eagerly await the F-18 like everyone else
  10. this was the solution to my problem. I now have BS2 in my DCS World install. Many thanks!
  11. thanks i'll give this a go
  12. That's what I was getting at. Sadly I do not have a means to actually use the CD (don't have a CD drive on my computer) and was wondering if there was another way to do this. For example, a certain F-16 sim which I shall not name, you only need the .exe file of the original game to install all the upgrades. Having a complete installation of the original isn't required.
  13. I have with me here my boxed copy of Black Shark 1. However due to circumstances I have no means to install a CD and therefore no way to use my BS2 upgrade version. Is there anyway I can get this to work in DCS World? If it is impossible, while unfortunate, I will understand. Thanks for any advice Proof that I own BS1:
  14. holding out on upgrading to a 1080 and getting VR to see what happens
  15. 2017: DCS Normandy 1944 2027: DCS Mars 2244
  16. Awesome thank you for the reply. Always thought the F and D models were pretty similar but as I said before I have learned a lot from this thread ( :
  17. I remember getting the original DCS Black Shark box version when it came out in 2008, and then pre ordering the A-10C when it was announced. It's been a pleasure to see the DCS environment evolve over the last decade from LOMAC to DCS World 2.5 and it makes me very excited about what future holds
  18. thanks for this thread it's been a great read and I have learned a lot. fascinating to hear from someone who flew the hornet first hand. I do have a question, was the F/A-18D twin seater used only for training, or was the back seat for an RIO? thanks
  19. Hi I was wondering what that song that plays at the end of the F/A-18 trailer is, if anyone has a full version. It sounds like a remix of the DCS menu theme and can be heard here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbNwO91oAPM
  20. i think having both versions will speed the update process.
  21. incredible
  22. thanks for informing us about this. I hope it goes well for you and all the other devs
  23. hornet = sex
  24. If you can run NTTR and Normandy to a high level I think it's safe to say you will be able to run the new Caucasus. Don't quote me on this though I am just being hopeful
