  2. That is already done for you if you install the mod. Just make sure that you overwrite NATO.lua again. You've probably overwritten this because of another mod. Find it here: Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Sounds\Speech\NATO.lua

  5. WOW! That average user rating on metacritic is pathethic compared to the average critic's score. When reading some of the negative reviews I can see that the difference between the current rating of 1.6/10 (!) and a good score that is more in line with the critic's score is based on JUST two things: 1) Always online DRM and all its consequences, including: No local saves, queuing to enter server, crashing servers etc. 2) Less important but always mentioned: Small maps. Some people also complain about the simplicity. Addition of an underground construction (pipelines, metro) is missing... But if they remove these two things the game would definitly receive a good user score. Soooo Close! I myself will buy simcity when these two things are fixed...

  9. I still have the files that enable JTAC for USSR units. I was also able to assign a callsign (1, 2, 3, etc.) and a frequency. However, JTAC didn't want to respond for an unknown reason. Go ahead if you want to experiment. Take a look at these files/lines: Missioneditor\modules\me_action_db.lua remove or comment out lines 600, 764 and 774 (EDIT: this is the v1.2.2 file. Lines are now different due to this bomb on point task that was added for v1.2.3). This will enable all the FAC tasks for USSR units. You can also find the set_frequency command here. Scripts\Database\db_callnames.lua. I tried adding the line: callnames(country.RUSSIA, 'Ground Units', vehicleCallsigns); Between line 110 and 111. I also tried to make a new table for Russian ground units using American callsigns. Maybe try FARP callsigns and see if they work. I will also give it another try when I have time again...
  10. Hey, I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're experiencing. If you call the JTAC, do you hear yourself checking in?. So far there have been a couple of people with the same problem. It turned out that they were missing a simple detail. Check again if you're doing the radio procedure right. Do you have any other (sound) mods that might cause a conflict? If nothing works I can always send you v1.2 to see if that makes any difference...

  14. I'm always on the lookout for a good P-51D dogfight server, but usually end up flying BS or A10C because there are no dogfight servers (or it's for FC3 only).

  16. We have different opinions and I'm sure we can argue many more days about it... I predict that stats can destroy a game/sim based on experience with other games/sims. You predict that stats will not affect some people's mentality. We can only find out who is right when ED implements some sort of stat system...
  17. I wish everyone thinks like you do. Unfortunately that is not the case. I'm not talking about squad gameplay (when you are on TS with a group of people), but open servers with individuals that can spoil gameplay because they have only one goal: Improve their stats to show them off later. Think of what BF3 is supposed to be and what it became. Don't you agree that mission succes rate, flight hours, landings, take-offs and confirmed kills suit this sim much better than Kill/Death ratio, Points/Kills/Death per unit of time, Win/Loss ratio etc...? --- Thank you Ebs!   19. A good statistics system is #1 on my wishlist. On the other hand I think that statistics can destroy a game (First Person Shooters for example). Something like a kill/death ratio is what makes people only think of themselves in a competitive combat game (or sim). It will definitely affect gameplay on popular open servers, such as 104th dedicated. Take BF3, which is supposed to be a FPS that involves teamwork. Kill steal accusations and 'hackusation' fly around at a higher rate than grenades because everyone is there to improve their 'stats'. Doing something to benefit the team? Only if it grants me points or kills! So a good statistics system could be in the form of a realistic logbook, where flight hours and mission succes rate are more valuable than some individual's K/D. my 2cts...
  20. I even did a manual install. The mod is in the right folder but when in-game, most textures appear to be default, while some textures are good... This puzzles me :( EDIT: A clue: When I remove the texture package, DCS is still able to find textures somewhere (Sorcery!). These are (no surprise) the textures that override Ricardo's textures! Any idea where this texture backup is located. My delete button is ready because they disable the beautifull HD textures! EDIT2: Problem solved. Because I repaired DCS before the update, the folder english in DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50\Liveries\Cockpit_Ka-50 returned )it was renamed to (_english). JSGME doesn't cover this of course!

  23. There are a lot of panels black again in V1.2.3 while some panels have the modded textures. ED mixed some files I'm afraid... Anyone else noticed this or is it a problem on my end? EDIT: added pic...

  25. Changelog for V1.3 added to first post. Will release the mod and updated manual after some more testing. I need 1 or 2 volunteers for that. Please PM me if you're interested... EDIT: Thanks for the replies. No more volunteers needed for testing... Release ASAP.
