Backer Rewards Section is Finally Here

Support was quick for me, thanks for linking the accounts! -
At about 20 minutes he says that it took them 2 man/months to implement it. That goes for a modern engine though.

DCS Mi-8MTV2 ! You are a truly nice person for doing a giveaway like this :)

Havent gotten anything either. Also a PM to luthier went unanswered.

You have to ask the ground crew using the comm menu to swap your HMS for NVG. Then you use it using 'H', just like you would your HMS. Youll have to tweak around a bit with the brightness knobs in the cockpit, but youll get used to it. In some cases it can be helpful to use the hud filter to see the hud with NVG on.

This looks horrible, good to hear the pilots managed to bail out. Since the blades are still intact I guess they didnt use their ejection seats. -
The dora has 10,51m wingspan, which is 34.5 feet.

I was under the impression that the FW190 was an even better energy fighter, also the AI is very good at conserving energy in itself. Playing by the FW's rules might not be a good idea for survival. In P-51 vs P-51 it depends on the pilot. If you're good at dogfighting and your enemy in MP isnt, well, you just might want to get him to a turning fight. Therefore I think this is a bit too generalized. Holding visual contact is most important, I have to agree :)

Maybe a frozen pitot?

Epic picture! -
You have to turn the canopy crank with your mouse.

Please dont do what he said, that is bad advice. I would rather hold the tail down as the manual says until around 90 mph where it starts to rise on its own. You hold the plane on track by anticipating the torque movements with some soft rudder inputs, not by wheel brakes.

I would for sure welcome an upgrade of the georgian map utilizing the new terrain engine..... .... :) -
That is because the Airspeed indicator starts to work at around 20 knots...

Download DCS World, download the A10C module and enter your key when youre asked for it :)

Im using Unwrap UVW too. UV Map might be quick, but its not efficient and a pain to draw a texture. Essentially all of the functions of UV Map are in Unwrap UVW too, but I would personally do it all by hand, because Max can't tell what sections of the texture are up close to the player and therefore need to be scaled larger on the UV. Also there isnt yet any Algorithm that can effectively place all the UV islands so youre not wasting UV Space. That said, I dont know how experienced you are with Unwrapping (although your work so far indicates you know your stuff). The best places to gain knowledge on such subjects and ask specific questions are dedicated 3d Art forums, such as polycount. Have a look there if we cant help you :)

Looking great! May I ask you what you did to archieve the cuts for the windows and doors? Did you use your exterior and cut it or did you use retopo tools?
-
Those two in combination show pretty nicely, whats going on there. Makes up a nice turbosmooth exercise :P

Analogue all the way then! If it keeps you out of trouble thats the way to go.

1. Are you, in principle, willing to participate in crowdfunding a module for DCS? High-fidelity, low-fidelity or both? Yes. If yes: 2. Did you participate in either of the two Third Party crowdfundings so far (those being Beczl's Indiegogo campaign and Kinney's Kickstarter campaign)? Only the Mig-21bis. If yes: 2a. Was there some item of information, some pledge reward or some interaction on the part of the developers that would have caused you to increase your pledge? No, I already pledged 10$ more for a Bonus DVD, because the project seemed promising enough. 3. What level of existing assets do you require in order to take a crowdfunding campaign "seriously"? Is it enough to see a concept, renders of the model, the model in action, etc. How far should developers go before turning to the community? They should at least have something ingame and flying. The external model is one of the things thats needed first when you start a project and I expect the developer to demonstrate at least some knowledge with the engine (getting something ingame). Also I need to know about some past work of the developers. That might sound picky, but Kickstarter is a risk for the consumers and I expect to see the same risk taken by the developers (developing a prototype, creating a 3d model). If they believe in their project, they need to show it. 4. Finally, what would be your realistic budget in order to help get a module of something that interests you made? 40€is my ceiling. Im not in the situation to shell out hundreds of euros, so 40€ is as far as I want to go when I could possibly lose all of it. That goes for something that really interests me, of course.

You can easily get a used X-52 for under 100$

New, complete WW2 theater along with new EDGE powered terrain of middle europe? That would make me quite happy :)
