  1. Whwn you put the RWR on the HUD you see a line from the RWR Marker to the center of the hud which indicates the lock from that radar.
  2. Indeed. Until its done i drop the pod and use good old CCIP. :)
  3. Thanks for the answers. it testet it a little bit and the combination of Water, VTOL-Flaps + 50deg Thruster on end of the ship give a smooth take off, even if fully loaded with fuel and bombs. :music_whistling:
  4. For A-G or Strikes i use all three MFD. Left MFD: Store Page and Weapon configuration (for example Videofeed from the Walleye) Right MFD: Lightning Pod Page Center MFD: SA or HSI Page for Navigation
  5. Yesterday i run into a similar problem. I reload on Stennis, start with FLIR Pod and try to use it. I never saw a camera picture on the Walleye Screen but i saw the countdown and could drop the bomb. After klicking on step the second bomb work as intended and moved the camera to the targetpoint set with the FLIR.
  6. Notice the same. I get that after i take a look on F10 Map when shaders get new rendered.
  7. I run into the same problem. Walleye dont seem to talk with the pod.
  8. I second that question. i think about a Strike Team were the First have SEAD + Datalink and the Second has 2 Walleyes + Data Link and after releasing the bomb the first plane take controll over the Channel2 Bomb and the second one over the channel 8 bomb. Additional i also have some questions: 1. How long is the "warm-up" Time for the Walleye (time until you see the videofeed) and how does i trigger the "weapon-startup"? 2. What is the intended height and speed where you should release the bomb to get maximum range? 3. Did the bomb some sort of auto targeting? We use the 476 Range target Mod and i drop sthe bomb on some sort of dart-board on the ground. When dropping the bomb, i can see some blurred picture on the video feed where the target will be. No details ect. Its more like "i know its somewhere there so i put the crosshair in that direction. But after dropping (without datalink) the bomb land excatly in the bullseye of the target. 4. The bomb need some time to find the target and give feedback when its ready to release. But when i switch from bomb to data link (wihout select channel or put datalink in Wall-E Mode ,the weapons switch instant to ready and when i drop it, it land on some place somewhere but absolutely not near the target. Is that a bug or intended behaviour?
  9. Hello everybody. Currently i just play a little bit around with the harrier and i like it a little bit. But there is something im really afraid of and that is AAR with the Harrier. :helpsmilie: So to which degree the harrier is usable without AAR? I mostly fly hornet and i can load the hornet to the max (bombs and missiles on every free pylon + 2 Tanks + Pod) and still can launch from the catapult. How about the Harrier on the Tawara? Could i put the Pods, 2 Tanks and max avaible number of bombs on it and still start? Or is start with low fuel and AAR a mandatory thing for the Harrier?
  10. I know. When im 30nm away js switch to the frequence and make the inbound call. I got response about "fly heading X for Z seconds". Later i get the response "clear for visual contact tower". Still no runway lights on that mission.
  11. Also dont have problems. But i also have no other mods wich affect shaders.
  12. Yesterday i start the taxi+start trainingsmission of the F18. I love the lightning. I fly to kutaisi, ask for landing clearance. But the airfield dont put the lights on, make it very hard to see the runway. I hate that. Is there a mod which maybe switch light automatic on when someone call inbound? Landing on a field without lights destroy a lot of immersion. :(
  13. Do you try to recenter VR view?
  14. Thats great. Thanks for the Info. :D
  15. https://www.roadtovr.com/oculus-link-makes-oculus-quest-feel-like-a-native-pc-vr-headset-oculus-connect-6/ That is the source for my concerns.
  16. https://www.oculus.com/blog/oculus-quest-at-oc6-introducing-hand-tracking-oculus-link-passthrough-on-quest-and-more/ Short Story: Oculus Quest will get a Firmware Update to act like a pc-grounded VR-System. The pc will generate the images as usual and stream it via usb3 to the headset. Does anyone know if DCS will support this?
  17. For my understanding the fingerlift button is the barrier between milpower and afterburner and betwenn flight/ground idle. Wenn go full throttle i get milpower, pressing fingerlift will start afterburner. Wenn landing on a field i take throttle to zero and go to flight idle. Using fingerlift will give ground idle. Thats my understanding. But it dont seem to work. When i move to 100% throttle i allways get afterburner (for example on carrierstart). And when i land on the field and move throttle to zero and press fingerlift nothing happens. The button seems to be correct, i see the fingerlift moving. Is there something i missing? Btw i fly in sim mode.
  18. Does that fingerlift work? I tried it once but i cant get the throttle out of idle even when pressed fingerlift and when i go 100% on throttle they still light the cans without touching that fingerlift.
  19. I know thrme mid but bring a lot flickering when using the zoom function with the oculus rift.
  20. Nope. :) just guessing The F18 is very good in stabilize the plane rhat a autotrim would be the next logical step for me. As i said i dont want it implemented. Its just a, theoretical discussion.
  21. As i said. I dont have a problem with trimming the plane. I was just curious, cause it feels so simple to my. :music_whistling: while (roll >= +1 && stick-rollaxis == 0) { trimm -1 } while (roll <= -1 && stick-rollaxis == 0) { trimm +1 } :lol:
  22. Until we got that, when the hornet lights the can, its the best sign that he will get shot in the next 5 seconds. So maybe you could salute when the hornet afterburner kicks?
  23. First, i dont have problems with manual trim. Im just curious. The F18 has a lot automatic functions in there fly-by-wire system inklusive t/o trim for example. But why it dont have the ability to autotrim itself? The plane knows when it starts to roll (for example after dropping a bomb), why it cant controll trim and correct it until rolling stops? Maybe like the T/O Trim button. Press the button and wait until the plane trim itself to a stable level flight without pitch and rolling? :joystick:
  24. The Tomcat has a Glideslope Overlay which works in VR. But i dont think you need it. 80% of the glideslope you can fly with ICLS. You need the ball only for final minor corrections.
  25. I have a Rift and settings mostly low, PD of 1, still no problems flying the ball. I suggest using ICLS Needles or fly a good pattern. Both bget you in a good glideslope position behind the boat. Put the Velocity Vector symbol (the thing where you center the e bracked) a little bit behind the wires. That is good enough, you only need little adjustments shortly before the touchdown. And then you have no problems with the ball.
