  1. Duxfor Alpha? Am I missing out on something?
  2. Oh okay, thanks for the clarification.
  3. MBot, the manual states +- 30° in aizmuth.
  4. The radar scans -1,5° downwards and 17° upwards. It can be elevated by 1,5° to reduce reflections in low level flight. Therfore you want the target above you.
  5. I guess there probably won't be any anticheat anytime soon. So don't be worried about that.
  6. Depending on the ammount of money you want to spend, the MFG Crosswinds are also worth a look. They are expensive but they are probably one of the best peddals out there.
  7. Hi, I am working on a small non-DCS related project, for which I need some temperature gauges. I would like some nice looking, round analog gauges for normal temperatures (-20 to +50 °C) preferably controllable by 5 (or alternativly 12) Volt, but I haven't been able to find any. Does anyone have any suggestions where to find such gauges? Thanks, John
  8. Here you go: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=122801
  9. It seems more like he is saying that the Mig-21 would have been released at the end at March 30th, if there wasn't the team disagrement and if it would come out before the end of April. Probably because it seemed that work was halted for one month while the team tried to sort out the trubble they had.
  10. Don't install the OpenBeta. Just run the old DCS World programm, and it will ask if you want to update it to 1.2.8. The DCS World OpenBeta is not relevant anmyore until the next Beta release, whenever that will be.
  11. I would rather see those guys do more Russian stuff, so I voted no. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't buy the F-4 though...
  12. Oh okay. Yeah, the SLI setup I am running with two ASUS GTX780 Direct CU OC cards (not Ti unfortunately) didn't bring any improvement over a single one of those cards in DCS at the current time. I hope that might change tough with EDGE.

    Mig 21 TARS

As far as I understood it, the TARS dev tool was supossed to be used in other applications. For example that LotATC can have TARS support. The aircraft itselfe get detected automatically I guess, at it was with the UH-1H.
  14. The emergency disembark is to be used if you happen to do an emergency landing not at the intended disembark point, and want to get rid of the people on board. They will run either to the disembark waypoint, or if there is none, they will run back to their origin point. The normal disembark is to be used when you land inside the disembark zone you set in the mission editor. They will then run to the disembark waypoint. I guess the "strike team"-idea is quit difficult to accomplish with the current embark/disembark functionality.
  15. I just read that this only correctly works in single player at the momment. Apparently on a server, only the host gets radio options to embark/unload troops. However, as soon as the host picks up infantry, all the helicopters (host and client) seem to get heavier. I will do some testing on that and will report back.
  16. I tested this a week or two ago when that feature came out, and I loaeded up 20+ soldiers and I definatelly noticed a change in helicopter performance. I was not able to find out how much a single soldier weights, however I could definatelly feel the helicopter beeing heavier than it was bevore picking them up. After dropping them, I could feel the helicopter beeing not as heavy anymore.
  17. For each DCS product you bought you have 10 activations. If you don't deactivate and then activate again you will lose one out of those 10 activations. If you run out of activations and you have 0 left, you will get another acitvation afther a month. So you basically can not run out of activations. Therfore it should not really be a problem if you happen to lose one of your 10 activations.
  18. It probably would be good if you could post the tracks that don't work for you anymore on here. I did a flight in beta today, where I watched the track 5-6 times, and it would allways show the flight from takeoff to landing just fine.
  19. No, that was relativ to Cibit's post. He wrote: I wondered if there where any changes exactly on that topic. I couldn't see anything about that in the changelog nor ingame, and wondered if he talked about the embarkation menu using the F7 in the radio menu, or if there was something new (in the latest patch) that I might have missed.
  20. Sorry to ask, but was there any change in todays patch? Or is it still the same as it was on 1.2.8 release? :)
  21. I guess even with a multi-port powered USB Hub there should not be any problem if you connect TrackIR, your joystick, etc. to that. The possible delays should be marginal. However, I have my controll devices like TrackIR, joystick, rudder pedals, directly connected to the mainboard, and run not so important stuff like printers, USB-Headsets, etc. from a Hub.
  22. Very nice indeed! BTW: You are not running those GTX780Tis in SLI?
  23. The L39 and F-18 on the virtual aerobatics server for example are mods, which use the F-15 cockpit. I don't think porting over FSX cockpits is that easy...
  24. It is a troop transporter. The armament seems to be more of an additional feature. And altough it can do lot's of damage, the Mi-8 seems best used to fly in troops and equipment.

    Manual

Depending on release of the manual for translation, I guess I could do the German one.
