I am currently 18 years young. Started with DCS 3-4 years ago. Still going to school. Not married and no children ;). However, many of the guys I had the pleasure to fly with, fall into your described profile. 20-40 years old, married and having children, working in all kind of diffrent jobs.

Engine temperature behaviour is WIP for both the Huey and the Mi-8, as far as I know.

Kanton Übrig. Oder besser bekannt als Vorarlberg, Österreich. :)

As said, it definatelly is the networkport for me.

Hello again, This post hopefully gives the final solution to my bluescreen problem. Last week I got myselfe an Arduino board with Ethernet-Shield. I plugged that into my second Ethernet port on my motherboard (which has two Ethernet ports). Soon after that I got a bluescreen while playing DCS. After a couple of hours I realised that the only thing I changed between not getting bluescreens and getting bluescreens was the network cable in the second Ethernet port. I pluged that cable out and since then I haven't gotten any more bluescreens. This also explains why the bluescreens appeared and disappeared after doing any hardware change (for which I plug everything out and put the computer onto the table). After doing any change I place the computer back under my table and plug the cables back in. I didn't bother with connecting the Network cable into the same port. So it would randomly end up in one of the two ports. Thinking about that I also rember that I plugged in the cable into a diffrent port after I built in the GPU, because I had to reasing IP Adresses to the diffrent network port. Once more, thanks for the help guys! I didn't expect a faulty Ethernet port to be the cause! Best regards, Jonathan

Or in the Mi-8. :P

On the ohter hand, over here in Austria/Germany/Switzerland you will always get QNH. The only one using QFE at some airports are the gliders.

I use OpenBrodcasterSoftware. It is free, records in a good quality and is not to heavy on my performance.

Short, and hopfully final, update: The new PSU seemed to fix the cause for the bluescreens. They did not apear again since then. Howerver, the Corsair Link Software seemes to have caused the STOP: 0x00..0101 and ..001 bluescreens, as deinstalling Corsair Link fixed the problem! So thank you very much for your advice! Best regards, John

Okay guys, little update: - The good news first: Yesterday my new PSU finally arrived. I installed it and could fly probelm free for some hours. Altough I didn't do very long sessions yet, the bluescreenprobelm seems to be fixed for now. - The bad news: I started getting a totally diffrent kind of bluescreen right now. This time it is STOP: 0x00..0101 and ..001E. A short search on google brought me to the conclusion that the vcore is to low. I will try to adjust it tomorrow. This leads me to my question tough: How can the new PSU (assuming it is working properly) actually have any change on the vcore? Best regards, Jonathan PS: Altough thinking about it, the PSU has an overcurrentprotecion for every 8-pin port. I will have a look tomorrow if that causes the problem too!

Which is the reason why hovering in simulators like DCS is much more difficult than in real live, because you can't feel any movment. This means you have to rely on your vision alone, which is much more difficult than to rely on a mix of feeling and seeing. ;)

How do you fly choppers with no Collective lever?
xxJohnxx replied to Dudester22's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I have the collective on the normal TM Warthog throttle, and the throttle on the friction-lever-axis. On one of the hat switches (Mic selector) I have my starter as well as governor rpm increase/decrease. -
Okay, thank you guys, and especially SkateZilla, for helping me out and explaining the problem to me! I will place my order on the new GPU today, and I will report back if the stronger PSU could solve the problem once I get it. Thank you very much and a happy new year! Jonathan

Okay, so would that RAM undervoltage even occur if I run Memtest? I mean it can't detect a problem that does not occur, because the system is not on load? Or am I getting something wrong?
-
3.5 hours done. 3 passes where made and no error yet. I will let it run for a few more passes. EDIT: Does Memtest also put load on the CPU and GPU? The CPU is at 45°C now, and the GPUs seem to be very cold too, as the fans didn't spool up yet, nor is a lot of heat comming out of the case...

Okay guys. Thank you for all your replies. I will go ahead and order myself a new PSU then. I have been reading good stuff about the Corsair AX1200i (1200W as the name suggests) and probably will order that one later tonight. In the meantime I started Memtest86. It is running now: I hope I set it up the right way. No errors reportet yet, but I will let it run for some time. Thank you and best regards, Jonathan

I use no curves at all.

I like that you can crush those lightbulbs :D

Hi, That check didn't find any errors. Okay. I probably will order myself a stronger PSU in the next few days if no more suggestions come up! Thank you very much and best regards, Jonathan

I got this one: link It seems to be silver rated. Thanks for the help! Best regards, Jonathan

Hi, Thank you all for your suggestions. I will try to work them out one after one! :) chkdsk did not bring up any faults on any of my drives. I will do that and report after doing so! I will definatelly consider that, altough it has been runing on 4.5 GHz for about 8 month now. I got 750 Watts. What do you think, is that not enough? I got the bluescreens while typing in the browser, where the system doesn't have a very high power consumpiton, so I am not sure! Best regards and thank you very much! Jonathan

Hi, I get lot's of Warnings and Failures in there. Some of those: - Kernel-EventTracing - WHEA-Logger - e1qexpress A USB Headset. I got the next Bluescreen while I was typing this... Thanks for your help! EDIT: Minutes before the first BlueScreen I got a crash of TeamSpeak and a minute later also Dwm.exe. I am not sure if that is related or not. The expection code for Dwm.exe was 0xc0000005

Hi, I started to get Bluescreens some weeks ago. It started with one in the first week of November, but now I am getting at least one per day, and it is getting very anoying! I tried to update all the drivers, tried to remove hardware installed in November and checked the internet for the cause, but I couldn't solve my problem. So I need your help guys! I attached the last two Minidumps. System specs are in the signature, and if you need anymore information, please let me know! Thank you and best regards, Jonathan Dump.zip
