Hi, I got myselfe a 5.1 sorround system and I did some flights with it. While the front left, center and front right speeker work just fine, I can't hear anything from the two in the rear. Is this just m setup, or does DCS not provide sorround sound? Best regards, John

It seems though the consequences of a hot start are not simulated at the momment. If you set your engine on fire (which is indicated by 2 meters of flammes comming out of your exhaust (not synchronisied on mulitplayer)) it will just happily burn for hours if you don't cut your fuel or blow it out by starting your engine. There will be no indication for a burning exhaust in the cockpit, as neither the exhaust temperature rises (showing about 100°C) nor the FIRE lamp get illuminated.

Was a little bit frustrating. Didn't even need to deploy the 11 guys in the back.

Okay yeah. After restarting DCS it now also shows up in "Campaings". Thank you anyways!

Hi, It was announced that we could fly the "Spring Tension" campaing on 1.2.7. But where can I find it? Best regards, John

Good to hear! Thank you for providing one of the best servers out there!

It does this by itself at the beginning of the download. It just takes a few seconds, because it is much faster than download obviously. After copying is finished it will download the new 1.2.7 stuff I assume.

You can enable the mirrors somewhere in the options. I thing it was in the "Game" or "Simulation" tab, somewhere on the right hand side.

In my opinion a single GTX 780 is sufficient. Runs DCS very well for me on max graphic settings. But if you have the money go for the Ti.

DCS 1.2.7 Open Beta - Preliminary Changelog

Though the trimmer works diffrently in real life, because if you press the trimmer, you will just remove all force from it (or apparently add a slight forward force). Example: If you move the stick 1/2 way forward and then wait for the helicopter to reach that attitude, and then hit the trimmer button, the helicopter wouldn't move. You just wouldn't have to apply as much force as you had to before. -
Yep, 331.40 seems also to do okay.

Okay, just a little update: PROBLEM SOLVED! When installing the new graphics card, I downloaded the latest driver (331.82). I now tried to revert to the previous one, which worked well. And after installing 327.23 drivers, I could finish two hours of flying without problem! Thanks for your help! Best regards, Jonathan EDIT: I just saw that I have used the 331.40 drivers also for some time, and they also seemed to work. I am going to update to those drivers, and will report back if they also work.

Hi, I have to cancle an earlier statement. When SLI is disabled, DCS still crashes. Thanks for your help! Jonathan

I would NOT buy an alienware computer. It is better to buy yourself an computer or have someone build it for your exactly fitting your needs, than buying overly expensive garbage. Best regards, Jonathan

Hi Razor, I have upgraded from a 560Ti to a 780 some time ago now. It helped FPS very much and I can run at very high settings, with 40+ most of the time. The 780 is about €460 so it should be well within your price range. Some days ago I got myself a second 780, and it did nothing to my DCS performance, expect creating crashes. So I assume that you spend money on a single 780 or on a 780Ti. Personally, I recommend the ASUS Direct CU II OC ones, but you can go for either model you like. Best regards, John

The Mig-21 should be released by the end of March.

Hi, Sorry I am not exactly sure what you mean. Physx assinged itself to the second GTX 780, as I have set it to "auto". But I haven't set anything. I also don't think that one card is just the physix and the other is doing graphics. But I am no expert on this topic either. Thanks for your help! Jonathan

Hi, Did all of the above. Unfortunatly it didn't help. I am running in windowed mode. Will try fullscreen later on. I am not sure where exactly this option can be found. I assume it would be this BIOS page: In the NVIDIA control panel, there can be set diffrent profiles for the diffrent applications. The profile included an option to set the SLI-rendering-mode as it was called, to "single GPU". That was what I refered with single GPU in SLI mode. Sorry if it wasn't clear The BIOS I ran was several versions old. Changes have been made at several places including PCI-E compability, accordingly to the changelog. So I updated the BIOS to the latest version. The update itselfe whent fine, however, when starting up the computer, Windows wouldn't boot anymore after the POST. After some trial and error I could solve this by resetting the BIOS to default. Thank you for your help. Best regards, Jonathan

I played some hours in World of Tanks since then. Worked fine, altough it isn't a really system demanding game. Drivers should be up to date. Did a fresh install after building in the second 780. An hour ago I got another crash while playing DCS computer completely frooze and only resetting it helped. Also tried to update the BIOS. Now it isn't even starting even more. But that's another problem.

Well, it seems to run with SLI completly disabled. It will crash when it is in "singe GPU" mode when SLI is enabled.

Just a short question from a non russian speaker: It looks like the lefthand gun didn't case fiering, which can happen to machine guns. But why did it turn it's cannons arround? Recoil of the gun? And probably the most important question: Did anyone get hurt? The camera man from thr first video looks to be clear of the fiering gun, but the guys on the plattform in the second video look like they are close to getting killed by that thing. Hope it ended well for all of them!

Hi, Will do! Good idea. No clue why I forgot to check that. Will report back tomorrow.

Hi, I installed a new ASUS GTX 780 to my existing ASUS GTX 780. They are running in SLI. Now i started getting crashes. I had similar crashes before, which I could fix by repairing DCS. However, this time this didn't fix anything. So I need your help guys.
