Did any of the updates make it through this patch?
-
Hmmm. I just tried this and I don't see any pylons.
-
I wouldn't put too much thought into it. Yes, the video highlighted future modules but it also showed a lot of existing modules. The Mirage F1 falls into that latter category. As for the F1M, the only thing worth seeing in a video would be the cockpit (since externally it looks very similar to the other versions) and that probably isn't ready for prime time yet.

Questions regarding radar elevation setting modes D/E
kontiuka replied to Snappy's topic in DCS: Mirage F1
Hi. I wouldn't even say that E mode scans bigger chunks of airspace. Whichever mode you're in, you're scanning the same cone of airspace and will pick up any targets within that cone. There may be some advantage to E mode but I honestly don't know what it would be. D mode seems more useful since you can manipulate where the dish is pointing with the alidade. EDIT: A good way to train with the radar modes is to set up a mission with a tanker and tune into its TACAN frequency. Since you know the tanker's altitude and TACAN distance, you can manipulate the radar to see if you can find the tanker. -
I respect your opinion but I've never cared for the Nick commentary. The 2021 trailer is my absolute favourite (amazing f'n music) but I always skip over the commentary when I re-watch it. Just personal taste.

I'd love just a FF vanilla SU-25.

He has 468 comments in this forum. I'm guessing sarcasm.

Questions regarding radar elevation setting modes D/E
kontiuka replied to Snappy's topic in DCS: Mirage F1
Yes, the radar always shows altitude difference in 1000's of feet whether you are in "E" or "D" mode. That 10 nm trick is just a quick way to figure out the angle but the display is always in 1000's of feet. When you put the radar in "D" mode, you are fixing the altitude difference you want the centre of your radar beam to look at. Wherever you move the alidade, the centre of your radar beam always looks at this altitude difference, causing the radar angle to change. Inside the radome, the radar dish is tilting up and down with the alidade. In "E" mode, you are fixing the angle of the radar beam (even though readout is in 1000's of feet). Wherever you move the alidade, the radar angle remains the same - and you'll notice that the altitude difference changes automatically as the alidade moves. Inside the radome, the radar dish is NOT tilting up and down with the alidade. I agree with Mini above. "D" mode seems more useful especially when you're working with AWACS calls. -
Is this for any aircraft or just the Mirage?

I took a look at the track and I'm a little confused. You're getting the morse code and seeing the ILS needles but then you put the game in active pause. So, the localizer and glide slope needles wouldn't move. The track ends without you unpausing.

Mirage F1BE Fuel transfer sequence selector switch
kontiuka replied to Mokkeri's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi. There was also the following issue ... -
Shoelaces are actually quite cunning. They always find their way out of the binds I put them in.

It's one of those facebook stories. Nothing there other than the poster.

I don't mind the music although a tad overdramatic.

Mirage F1BE Fuel transfer sequence selector switch
kontiuka replied to Mokkeri's topic in Bugs and Problems
Not sure. There are key binds for it and you can hear the switch go up and down but I can't visually locate it. -
I tried your mission and it works fine. I can select all 3 waypoints and IDN reflects the proper bearing and distance to each. Maybe attach a track file. You might be missing a step in-flight.

They gave a fair sized update in November so it will be a while before their next one.

In both cold start and hot start, the Fuel Transfer Sequence Selector Switch is always initialized to LISSE (clean) even with drop tanks on. Probably ok for cold start since switching it to BIDONS (drop tanks) would be part of the start-up sequence. But in a hot jet, it should be set properly. Only tested this in the F1EE. Thanks.

Also, should that section be lit up by the instrument panel lights? In the CE, its equivalent is lit up by the console panel lights.
