  1. First of all; thank you for the update, as a lot of other people on this forum I have a bit of a problem seeing how the Mustang is going to fit into the DCS world, but with that said, I do love the Mustang. She's a beauty and Im sure Im going to buy this, even if just to fly from on airfield to another. Should be nice to just fly around with other people in multiplayer.
  2. Sadly, yes. All USAF demos apart from the F-22 and the Thunderbirds have been grounded...
  3. I spend much more than $500 on airshows trips every year, so Im with you on that. I would probably be willing to pay more than $500 for "the perfect sim". And by the way, the retail license for Prepar3d is $499, not that I would pay that much for a pimped up version of FSX, but I know people who will.
  4. Nice video, Im a bit sad that the real demo is a thing of the past though...
  5. I see I have been doing it wrong all along, I used to slam the breaks as soon as I got her on the ground. I tried the other approach earlier today with letting the speed brakes do most of the work and that seemed to work very well, and if that's what the guys do in real life then that's what Ill be doing in the sim as well ;)
  6. The only people who knows is ED, and they are not talking. It could be tomorrow, next week, or next year, sadly there's just no way of knowing...
  7. Wow, this was fantastic, everything looks very professional. Great work!
  8. And there is nothing preventing developers from making aircraft on a DCS level of fidelity for FSX, just look at the PMDG 737 NGX or the VRS Superbug, I would say that they are pretty much on the same level of fidelity as the Black Shark or the Hog.
  9. I could be wrong of course, but if they decide to release the SDK tools, there is nothing stopping third party developers from developing the exact same aircraft and scenery as ED and potentially being more successful... But as I said, I could be wrong, and personally I would love for a full set of SDK tools to be released.
  10. To be honest, I dont think ED is going to release a full set of SDK tools. It probably would'nt be very good for business...
  11. Nice video, how do you get the outside "tower view" in BMS? And is there a way to record your flight and then have a look at it, like the tracks in DCS/FC? I know about the ACMI, but that's not what I want.
  12. Are'nt most of the DCS/FC-bases semi-fictional? The name and the placement is right, but if you have a look at Google earth most of them dont look anything like they do in real life.
  13. Oh, Im getting way more than 270°/s, I recorded a small clip with Fraps and looking at that I would say that Im doing about two rolls a second, so 720°/s. This is at about 350 knots, when flying slower the roll rate seems to be closer to what you would expect from a Rafale.
  14. Sorry, I should have specified what I meant, I mean too fast, way too fast. At the moment it feels more like an Extra 300 or something, certainly not ten ton combat aircraft.
  15. There's a lot of things in this mod that I like, the single seat Mirage 2000s, Mirage F1, Alpha Jet and Rafale models are very good, and look quite spot on. The two seat Mirage 2000s, Jaguar and Super Etendard I think are a bit off, but they're ok. But the biggest "problem" by far is the insane roll rates of the Alpha Jet and the Rafale. This is far from realistic... and that ruined the experience a bit for me, as the Rafale was the aircraft I was most looking forward to with this mod.
  16. 18 months since the beta and god knows how long since the Nevada project was started. I dont really mind though, its going to be good to get sonething new to fly over, but Im not exactly holding my breath for the Nevada scenery.
  17. You want a beta tester to tell you what a game that has'nt even reached the alpha stage is like? ;)
  18. To be honest, Im going to be a bit disappointed if it's a WW2 era aircraft. An old jet, like a MiG-15, an F-86, a Phantom or something would be sweet though :)
  19. I was hoping for an early christmas present revealing the next DCS aircraft, but.. Still it was nice to get a news letter from ED, even if there was'nt a lot of news in it.
  20. This is one of the biggest reasons why Black Shark has been collecting dust on my shelf since the release of Warthog :P I hated always being nervous about the blades hitting each other, you have to be a bit careful with the Hog too, but not in the same way.
  21. This looks so great, its almost going to be like a new sim :P
  22. Nice video, I really liked the "pilot view", how did you do that?
  23. Yes, its a niche market, which should be all the more reason to keep the community interested and "in the loop". "We're working on something that might be released next week, in 2020 or not at all, and we're not going to tell you what it is", isnt a good way to keep people interested in your product. Its been ten months since the release of Warthog, and still we know nothing about the next DCS aircraft, I agree with Sunjah, this is starting to get silly.
  24. Release date is one thing, but they are very good at generating buzz around their upcoming products.
