Yes, I can understand that people prefer sitting in the shade, I do as well, but from what Ive seen this appears to be the norm at airshows in the US, no barriers, people everywhere. With all the safety regulations being enforced in the states Im surprised that they let people this close to their combat aircraft. And it must be a pain in the ass for the crews as well, I certainly would'nt want to climb into and fly an aircraft that had been standing in the middle of a crowd for the weekend without a thorough inspection. You never know what people might do, hot doq wrappers in the air intake, gum in the seat, and someone took the stick as a souvenir :P
