  1. Bored today, Trev?
  2. As an old jumper, I fully support this suggestion.
  3. Three of us gave this a go last night and wow, I have a lot to learn in the Su! A lot of surprises and a fast pace kept us going back for three attempts. It's a challenging mission for certain and a lot of fun with Ka-50s, Su-25Ts, and/or A-10C's. A great mix of supporting aircraft for a quick paced mission. It wasn't the simple, "Fly here and hit this" story line that I've encountered before. Looking forward to any others that you may produce. Thanks again!
  4. Exactly the parameters of a coop I've been seeking. 2 players in a Ka-50 and Su-25T. Thank you very much!
  5. EDIT: Yes, like he said! I'm at work now and I don't have the exact answer but it is a start up sequence that you have to complete. If you try too early the HUD will not show those modes but you'll see a "Safe" in the bottom left that is present for all but one Master Mode selection (It's Nav Mode).
  6. Alopex, I found a thread with a fix to the JTAC problem if that other fix didn't work. This one seems to do the trick for others: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=91765&page=2 It's the mod from Speed, post #11. I'll be putting it in when I get a chance, myself.
  7. Wow! Definitely changed my background today, these are fantastic, thank you.
  8. Thanks for clearing that up, Viper. I was confused with the option in the keyboard bindings as well. Glad to see that it is working as intended
  9. An unrelated question but how do you get that field of view while looking back? I'm using TrackIR 5 but can't see past the canopy frame when I look back over my shoulder. I'll start looking for the answer now that your video has informed me of my difficiency.
  10. I had the same problem with resetting my elevator trim. I thought it was a key assignment problem (I'm not using the defaults) but from your issue I guess it might not be. I could center the elevator by looking at the lights between the pilot's legs but I had to do that manually. I'm interested in any solutions, too.
  11. Yeah, I just went in an gave the ramp start mission a shot, it's not what I expected at all. It is exceptionally simple. Now I just need to get my stick profile to match something sensible for flying this aircraft.
  12. I'm just cutting my teeth on this beautiful aircraft and I was wondering if there is any checklist made for it like the ones for the A-10C? I did a search on the forums and within a search provider and found only CL for Flaming Cliffs. Thanks in advance.
  13. I have had some of the issues I had this exact problem last night flying A-10 Georgian Hammer on my second mission, I thought he died... EDIT: This could solve our problem here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=91666 I notice that you have to download the training lessons. I downloaded them last night but haven't had the time to install or try them out. There is a "Download" button at the bottom of the training menu. If this isn't your problem, then you're one step ahead of me. EDIT #2: If it's CTD then this should fix it, I haven't tried it though. http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/206863/ I had the same problem when reviewing a track from an A-10C mission, when I wanted to quit it wouldn't click it and I had to access the task manager as well. Me too.
  14. Definitely an installation error. I reinstalled today and it's good to go. Thanks for the suggestions, guys!
  15. I checked that out with a free flight, it was set to player. Thanks or the suggestion. I don't recall... I will definitely make sure of it when I reinstall tonight, thanks.
  16. I have owned the A-10C 1.1.1.1 version and installed the 1.2 module by entering the serial number. There are "$" on everything but A-10C and the Su-25T, that should indicate that it is correctly registered. I believe I followed those instructions accurately but I guess I'll go over them again. It could be the saved data from the 1.1.1.1 version affecting it.
  17. I'm trying to expand to DCS: World from A-10C 1.1.1.1 but I have a peculiar problem. I've set up the controls and created a pilot in the logbook; when I start an instant action, single mission, or campaign mission I am restricted to an outside view only while someone flies the aircraft I'm supposed to be controlling. I tried opening a mission in the Mission Editor and saving it in DCS: World but it had the same results. Flying the Su-25 works fine. Do I have an A-10C module install problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it?
  18. Landing with the TGP could be catastrophic. The widest field of view is exceptionally zoomed in compared to what you see out of the cockpit, or the "naked eye." All the movements of the aircraft would be exaggerated on the MFD. ILS is a precision approach due to the glideslope indicator and landings in IMC is exactly what it is designed to assist with accomplishing. Landing with zero/zero is not advised for any aircraft, find an alternate as advised above. The lateral guide gets wonky near the airport, so don't chase the needle. Your best bet is to make gentle adjustments until you see the runway environment then make a landing or even circle to land if you're too high over the threshold. A good set of approach plates for each airport would be nice; I'm not sure if these have been made, I haven't searched. It would help with the minimum altitudes on approach and give addtional terrain data and maybe a good circle to land altitude.
  19. That would definitely be the case. I stopped reading through the thread after a few pages and that's what I get. I'm actually happy that it didn't plug-and-play as it allowed me to change a few things to my style and the fact that I don't have a pinky button anymore. HAHA, the same problem is on the top of this page. Yeah, there's my sign.
  20. I bought it 3 days ago, lol. Don't mention this to my wife!
  21. When I downloaded the profile in the first post it came through empty. I went through and mapped the stick with many of the same locations as you had listed and tweaked some for my style. So all-in-all, it worked out. Thank you again for the ideas.
  22. Yes, always from. Just remember that the wind blows, it doesn't suck. It's a phrase used at my work.
  23. Thank you very much for this profile. I just picked up DCS A-10C and this helps a lot. My X52 has lost it's pinkie switch functionality (it is always on in the test panel) and I needed a base profile that doesn't use it as a modifier. This use of the several modes is a step in the right direction.
