  1. So far i've gotten this only in Su-27 (but i havent flown others much yet) EDIT: It just happened AGAIN... 3 times in 4 flights, this time simple radar contact, tried to lock, boom... CTD. This is just unbelievable... Btw, my fps is set to max 32, so its not fps related... the CTDs happen totally random... sometimes i can fly for hours with no problem... but today its just exceptionally bad... every f*kin sortie!
  2. I really hope your right... I just had it AGAIN, this time trying to lock an ECM strobe on radar... thats twice in 3 flights... This is just game breaking, big time... almost no point flying when u know its gonna CTD anytime u try to lock something... :doh:
  3. Guys, any word from ED about the MP "lock contact CTDs"? Just happened again, EOS in perfect position on a high bandit, as soon as i locked him up... boom.... CTD... arrrrgh! This is a serious problem!
  4. Thats correct! Thank god this issue will be controlled after the patch... spotting units from 30km is just downright ridiculous! As for Shkval... yeah i guess we better start practicing without the 0x option...

This sort of optimizations are already incorporated into my sound pack Case, if you havent tested it yet (its on FTP)... ;) But this one is good if u want to use the default sounds... although i reckon the FPS improvement would only be noticeable on low end machines... Btw, guys regarding mixing everything to .OGG, I remember ED saying something about this format creating stutters in Black Shark... so maybe thats why they went to .wav So this needs some testing i suppose...

  7. Of course, thats a given! GJ to both of you! One question though, is it possible to make the bat file fully automated so you dont have to "hit any key" to restore the file after game is shut down... Id rather it do so automatically and then close down...
  8. Good Stuff Fahhh! Gonna test it now... EDIT: Just tested! Works a charm... This is great, now we got an easy one click solution for both unlocking tracks and auto ACMIs! Two thumbs up....

  10. Yes, also an alternative... both would work equally the same... I guess its just a matter of what is easier to program... I suppose Case can shed light on this later... Would be a great thing to have thats for sure! Im personally all for an easy "one click" solution to play the track and make an ACMI in one go... and it would make ICing export.lua not such a problem ACMI wise!
  11. quick question: Any chance of having the slight exhaust misalignment being fixed on the model?
  12. Case, would it also possible to make a 1 click "Replay with ACMI" option as well? That way, we can fly without ACMI and not worry about failing IC... Then when done with the flight, we can just click on the replay and play the track + at the same time generating an ACMI... I guess the .bat file would simply have to write in a "dofile" command in export.lua, and then delete it once FC2 is closed... Wacha think? I'd say this would be a great compromise and very efficient... :)
  13. This probably due to the fact that the Integrity Check was set to monitor the WHOLE folder... So, as a result, any alterations or extra files in the folder structure (even if all active files are DEFAULT) would still trigger the failure of IC... So its very important to double check if there are any extra files out there... This is especially so for the _Common folder that is being checked on our server for example (<51>Server) The reason we check the whole folder is because it contains critical common files for all aircraft parameters such as engines/power files for example (including rearm.lua). So if we dont check it, anyone can just edit a few lines and fly their Su-25 at Mach 4 @ 30000m... :megalol: if you know what i mean... and yes, it only takes a notepad to do this, its been already tested! Therefore, as you can see, the cheating possibilities there are just massive! So it just HAS to be ICed... Just to give u an example, on those servers that dont check this folder (among other things), i can just edit the files ever so slightly to give myself better power, acceleration, only just by 5% lets say... It will not be noticeable and cant be proven, yet the advantage of these 5% in combat is just enormous... think of turn rates, and moments when u need to run/chase and of course there is the fuel consumption which can be played with... I think most ppl just dont realize how open the architechture is in FC2 as compared to FC1!! We need to IC all those things now or risk some serious cheating/exploiting, and not to mention the resulting lack of trust and accusations (which we already had enough of FC1)...
  14. ^^ Indeed! Poor Su-33 needs a facelift, big time! Kinda makes you shy away from flying it because its so ugly compared to other models.... hehe
  15. @ GUMAR: Я вас прекрасно понял! и на счет 120ки то конечьно согласен :)... но тут дело не только в етом... ЕР просто стали бить как "зайчики", даже при хорошом попадании, разница сразу на лицо по сравнению с ГС1... етот факт меня еще больше волнует чем ети супер детонаторы на 120ках... And to answer your last question, Im from Kiev ;)
  16. Funny you say this, but the ER, as a result of this massive difference is almost always NOT able to kill anything with one shot! You need 2, 3 sometimes more to make a kill! This is happening so often, to the point that you think ER is just a firecracker... :music_whistling: not funny at all... And while this is happening, the bandit is maddoging AIM 120s your way while hes damaged/burning... Which, IMO is another problem (even terminal damages very rarely disable weapons systems, which is silly, IMO)... I remember we used to have a mod where "dead was dead", i think this need to be looked at in FC2, because sometimes it just becomes ridiculous, as u have burning wrecks shooting missiles everywhere "Rambo style". I really dont think in RL you would be doing that when u are hit by a missile! I think you would pray to god that the ejection seat will still work! So, every time i hit anything with an ER, its just a proximity hit, and the bandit just keeps flying... I think it makes not much sense as 40kg explosive charge still has to count for something (even if its not as advanced as Aim-120/77), especially when the missile detonates much closer when compared to ARH. (SARH fuses < ARH fuses) I really hope something can be done about this... PS: Sorry for English...
  17. IMHO the problem is with the extended fuses (15m for ARH!) Because if we look at FC1, online, things were quite ok, and it was decent even with "high pings" of 350+ Yes, it was too easy to escape missiles, but not because of "ping issues" I think perhaps the fuse ranges for Aim 120/P77 are alittle too exaggerated and should be instead set in comparison with what the current ER is set to... mabe to around 10-12m? It would still be higher then FC1, but just not as high! I think that would be the most balanced and optimum solution... Sorry for English (no Rus keys on this comp)
  18. Case that sounds cool... but is is possible to do so realistically? the reason i was asking in the first place is because of Crimean Incident... that would save X-Man a hell of alot of time than doing all restoration manually!

  20. Этот параметр как раз и есть один из критических! так что все правильно, IMHO. насчет других, я по крайнее мере пока не нашел... А ну народ давайте если че знаете, пока Чиж предлагает и есть время до патча... А то уже надоело беспредельное читерство в ДВБ "по точкам" даже не включая радар.... Это дело надо закрывать!

  22. Ok guys! I rolled back to CAT 10.3 Reinstalled all my other stuff... used the fix by DoctorK And whala! Works a charm.... no black line! :) I then packed into cdds as Crunch suggested and basically its all set now... Thanx a bunch guys, and especially DoctorK! Cheers
  23. are you running XP? If so, where did u set that option? in my "driver signing" menu under computer properties i have set "install unsigned drivers by default" bla bla... so i really dont know why its not working... maybe there is another installation package without the catalyst installer mambo jumbo? i really hate this driver stuff i tell you... :doh: @Crunch yes i will try this as soon as i get my drivers working...
  24. arghh.. i dont know why but i just couldnt install those stupid damned drivers... it kept going through the install but never actually installing the driver itself... in the report file it said something like "the drivers are not signed" bla bla... but i never got any pop up telling me to install regardless... also my machine is configured to "install not signed drivers anyway"... this is so stupid as now i lost all my presets in ATI tray tool because i had to uninstall... :mad: gonna setup 10.3 again
  25. Good point! I have missed this... perhaps something to PM the devs, or put up in their "Fix" list?
