  1. Simplifies programming joysticks and allows for multiple functions on one switch. For example in the A-10C the DMS switch performs different functions depending on what is "SOI". If the HUD is SOI, moving the the DMS up or down changes the waypoint. If TGP is SOI, moving the DMW up or down zooms view in and out. By contrast, the F-15 hud controls are not hard coded. For example I cannot cycle through my ACQ radar modes by pressing the same switch...
  2. Sorry if this has been asked already but, Are the HOTAS controls "Hard Coded" into the Harrier?
  3. Oh don't get me wrong...The LWF Program is a perfect example of how we used to do things right. One development program yielded TWO outstanding aircraft. Why? Because the designers were trying to WIN a contract. Not just design what they wanted to sell...The F-15, F-16, A-10 and F-18 are the last of that bred we have. Sierra
  4. Yeah... But don't forget the F-18 is the byproduct of the loser of the LWF program... The winner was the F-16...
  5. LAWL...Sooooo many people afraid of the Viper.
  6. Hey Taylor, I'm not sure if this was asked for or not but a nice set of Thunderbird skins would be really nice. (Don't forget the Black Tail on #4.) Blue Angels would be nice too.
  7. Ya know honestly...if I get a couple of Yellow shirts moving me around the deck, a yellow shirt in front getting me on the Cat and a Shooter...the rest can be semi static for all I care! Great work guys... Remember..."Mr. Greenshirt" is Vince from south philly... He's cool...
  8. "Must spread rep" OH BULLSHEET! Outstanding work sir!
  9. The AV-8 N/A doesnt use the TGP in the same manner the A-10C does?
  10. Green Thunder is a nod toward SE Asia type foliage... See page 1
  11. I got some great pics dragging these guys home from Alaska in 2008...I'll see if I can find them. Great work Sir!
  12. “We are happy to announce the cooperation between Eagle Dynamics SA and Thrustmaster® to create the ultimate F/A-18C Hornet simulation experience”. “After the success of our first collaboration with Eagle Dynamic SA on DCS: A-10C Warthog, that lead to the HOTAS Warthog, we are proud to start a new collaboration on the DCS: F/A-18C Hornet". I am inclined to believe a new grip isn't Thrustmaster's idea of creating: " the ultimate F/A-18C Hornet simulation experience”. At least I hope not... Sierra
  13. I wonder if they will take advantage of the fact the grips are so similar and market them as such...
  14. If I can get just the > Grip < for $150.00 I will be ecstatic. That was the idea of how this supposed to work going back to the Cougar... That being said, since the F-18C and AV-8B use essentially the same Grip (The Hat and Castle switches are reversed) I wish Thrustmaster would produce the specific throttles for both aircraft. Especially since the AV-8B has VERY specific Nozzle Controls that are critical to STOL flight. Sierra
  15. Flying against Iraqis...that's like saying someone can beat a North Korean pilot...
  16. I'm of the opinion Ground Radar is the only thing standing between us and a significant number of new aircraft... Sierra
  17. I know for sure one was there in 2001...not sure when he PCSd out. Can't get a hold of second guy....he's out of country flying.
  18. F-117A pilots were some of the best in the Air Force. I say this with authority because I KNOW 2 former F-117 pilots, And I supported F-117As operationally for many years. Flying the "Black Line" was important...But who do you think did their mission planning? Intel? The Pilots knew their missions inside and out and they knew every single threat they were flying against and its capabilities. I have no idea why the F-117 didn't have RWR gear but I know it didn't have anything to do with being afraid the pilot would react to a threat. To imply they couldn't be trusted to take appropriate action if faced with an airborne threat is simply ignorant.
  19. I loved the shot of the Eagle Reaching out with its claw and the aircraft launching a missile...Well done sir!
  20. Brother you are going WAY above and beyond what I was expecting. Id be happy with a few more paint schemes! However, I sincerely admire your attention to detail and respect your comment about only flying with custom skins. I need to get a hold of a person who lives near me that does liveries and have him walk me through using Photoshop to do what you guys are doing. Thanks for the hard work Sierra
  21. What press release are you reading? "After the success of our first collaboration with Eagle Dynamic SA on DCS: A-10C Warthog, that lead to the HOTAS Warthog, we are proud to start a new collaboration on the DCS: F/A-18C Hornet”, says Gilles Raulet, Thrustmaster Development Director." Seriously? What is confusing about that statement and where do you see the words F-15C? In fact, the Harrier and F-18C stick are much more similar. The Trim and Castle switches are simple reversed. With that in mind, they could tool one stick for 2 aircraft and only have to do the throttle quadrant to increase sales.
  22. soooooooooooooooooooooo... 2.1 broke GCICAP. I spent a few hours trying to get my melon wrapped around the CAP function of Moose, Loaded the example mission in 1.5...and tried to replicate it in 2.1... Nothing. Script seems to load but the subject aircraft do not spawn.... Anybody wanna offer some advice and help? Sierra
  23. Hey Taylor, Here is a link to the page I used as a reference for the Nellis Tails, Paint Schemes and Tail Codes/Art https://tinyurl.com/kjacfro Cheers Sierra
  24. Fitness just copy the shadows file from your DCS install to the appropriate place in the mod file.
  25. This is whats missing for the majority of the F-18C skins available...Life at sea is ROUGH on aircraft and it shows. I refueled aircraft during the war that just looked abused but from all accounts, they were great performers. Sierra
