  1. But remember...all you gain is 33%... The airframe is "Rated" for 9 G its actual failure point G is well beyond that. ( Not sure what THAT number is) You're not going to do 9 gs with a fully loaded aircraft..you only get 7.5. Using the override only takes you to 9.9G. (7.5 + 33%) "Over the limit"? Sure. HOWEVER...well within the structural limits. Compare that to an aircraft that's permitted 9.0G. Using override allows you to pull 11.9g. (9.0 + 33%) Again, over G...but within the limits of the aircraft.
  2. You need to join the Blue Flag server sometime... People use Huey's and Gazelles to simulate carrying troops and cargo that would exceed their real life capabilities on a daily basis. I'm pretty sure the people flying those missions using a substitute airframe would be more than happy to buy a Chinook or version of -53.

    F-15E?

Exactly what are you basing this statement on?
  4. Sierra99

    F-15E?

Ya know simple fact is this...most people don't understand USAF missions. The F-15E isn't an Air Superiority Fighter...it is a Strike Fighter. What does that mean? It means it's not COMPETING with the F-15C for bragging rights. It is a bomb truck. Period. Just like the A-10C. The Difference is IF it gets jumped by an Su-27 one the way to do Bomb Truck things...it has a far better chance of surviving than the A-10C. If you wanna use it for a fighter...your choosing the wrong Airframe.
  5. Can ya post a picture of what yo'ure talking about? Also were you able to get the Huey Loaded?

    Lights

Is it possible to switch off lights in a specific area with a trigger the way we can switch off specific scenery elements? TIA

    APKWS II

Not really the question I was asking...if RAZBAM develops them are they specifclly coded to the Harrier or are they a "DCS Weapon" that can be made available to any aircraft in DCS that uses them? Another example would be the AGM-65E. It exists in DCS world. Can it be added to the weapons available to the Warthog?
  8. Not sure how much colateral damage you'll see from either. A lot of times I choose weapons based on what I am "able" to use on a specific target. 4 BMPs on a road by themselves can be killed one at a time with the GAU-8...unless there are MANPADS or other SAMs in the mix. If I can fly over the SAMs I drop bombs on em. If I can't fly over the SAMs then I use Mavericks. Tailor the attack to the targets you have now and ones you might encounter later.

    APKWS II

Zeus... "Regarding the APKWS II rockets, their inclusion depends on how complex is defining laser guided missiles. If too complex, then they won't be included. Otherwise I will add them to the weapons suite." Just out of curiosity if you are able to add the APKWS II rockets for the Harrier is there any chance they will be made available for other aircraft that can carry them? Specifically the Warthog and Hornet and Super Tucano.
  10. Hey Zeus... Where is the most updated information available. Lots of features have been added with little to no information on how to use them. (Not complaining mind you...just can't find info)

    F-15E?

    Like who?
  14. It would be nice it the scenic details used for Parked F-18C could be populated to the rest of the fleet. Engine Plugs...Remove Before Flight Streamers...Wheel Chocks...etc are subtle yet dramatic visual cues that an airplane if not ready for flight.
  15. It's not silly at all. In real life each aircraft has a SPECIFIC mission. Not because we want to sort people and assign them to different squadrons but because it's efficient. The F-15E doesn't need the HARM because the SEAD mission is performed by the F-16CJ. The F-16CJ can't carry AGM-130 because the Strike Mission is performed by the Mudhen.
  16. Just out of curiosity... Does anyone know how many wires are used on the CMS switch on a Warthog? Is the Z-Axis a separate button or is it a combination of buttons the way the trim switch works for view change? Thanks in advance.
  17. Really? I just ordered a CMS switch from the this morning.
  18. Watch eBay...
  19. i'll take a look at the mission and get back to you.
  20. have you thought alt asking on the mods forum...maybe VPS guys will hook ya up
  21. Are YOU going to supply the modded Warthog detent? What has been provided by ED is a simple fix to the issue. Perhaps when the Hornet has IFF, ECM, TGP, FLIR, LINK 16, A/G Radar, AMMRAMs and a myriad of other features that are currently unavailable they can make everyone happy with the AB detent. Until then I'll get by with whats been provided because its working.
  22. So I take it you can perform a Case 1 Recovery every time with an OK pass? :music_whistling: There is more to this sim than dropping Bombs. The new content will be released when its ready. Give them time
  23. What was implemented is a trade off between real life and the Sim world. Since I have a HOTAS Warthog. I can either have Fixed AB detents or NO detents. There is no "Push Through" The way there is in real life.
  24. Can this be installed using OVGME? Thank you for sharing this with the community. I know a LOT of time and effort went into this.
