  1. It's not just the video's but more history on the plane. Newer video's would be nice and since it's a new show maybe they'll include some.
  2. Just a heads up The Great Planes show on the military channel will be featuring the A10 on June 13th!!!. It's a new episode. So its time to set-up those DVR's :) http://military.discovery.com/tv-schedules/series.html?paid=52.16939.135733.42906.2
  3. Check out the Saitek standard pedals. They have adjustable foot size. The combat ones are excellent as well but your foot doesn't rest on them like the standard ones. Both are also very rugged and will last. http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/pedals.html http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/compedals.html
  4. Kerkain, what CPU and video card are you running? Moving to a 64 bit OS with memory definitely would have helped. Not the screen but opening the bottleneck from the cpu to the video card.
  5. We can agree to disagree but history is all we have to go by at the moment. This agrees the Israeli's success against large odds.
  6. They haven't produced a good set of drivers for the 680 yet and it's a couple of months old.
  7. I've had the same issue when using the download from the Germany ftp or http site. The US download site is much slower but I get no file corruptions from there.
  8. If you wait until next year for the next generation etc, you'll always be waiting. When you're ready, close your eyes and jump in. The suggestion to get the SSD is spot on, especially with laptops. I've been running them for a few years now. They absolutely fly. The SSD Prices have come down a lot. You can get a 256 gig Crucial M4 for 240 bucks. Not to show my age, but I once paid 200+ bucks for a 20 meg hard drive in the late 80's http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100008120%20600038487&IsNodeId=1&name=256GB
  9. Just be careful. You really shouldn't overclock unless you have a good cooling set-up. Stock fans can result in damaged equipment. The self contained water systems by corsair are priced well and do a great job. Very easy to install as well.
  10. With a stick that sits on a ball and moves in all directions, I'm surprised it doesn't have more twist. As noted it's normal. Enjoy your new stick.
  11. As noted earlier The Warthog is king and well worth the bucks. (Music can wait just a little longer right?) Next thing on the list would be the trackir. Definitely a must have if you plan to stick around for the long run.
  12. I put 2 small book shelves that are shorter than my desk to each side. You could probably make something to do the job with little effort.
  13. It was in his sig.
  14. Good Morning Will the multiplayer missions made for A-10C work in world? I only play multiplayer which makes it pointless to move to world at this point if the on-line missions aren't available yet. Thanks
  15. Maybe your profile isn't coming on in one of the 2?
  16. Things to try 1. reset the cmos. Instructions should be in the manual but it's usually moving a jumper for a few seconds and then moving it back. This puts the CMOS memory to default 2. make sure the 24 pin connector is on the motherboard and the secondary power cable(4 pin?) is also plugged in. 3. Verify the reset and power plugs are correctly installed on the mobo. 4. Remove the CPU to make sure no pins are bent, then replace. 5. remove all drives and any other peripherals except for the video card. This includes the hard drive. 6. make sure all power connectors are plugged into the video card. 7. install a single stick of ram. 8. try to start. If it doesn't, power down and swap the ram stick for the other one and try again. 9 if it starts, shut down and install the other ram stick. Repeat, then do with each drive etc until all is running. 10. If it doesn't start, before RMA go to the manufacturers forums or FAQ's to check for common problems that might be causing the issue. Good Luck
  17. Better tell that to my putr. After throwing switches Ctrl P energizes them for me.
  18. For those who use beta drivers, Guru3d.com just posted the Geforce 301.40 beta driver. Not much feedback on them yet. I'm downloading as I type this.
  19. You seem like the type that believes only in what you see. Look at this post. It appears the actual number is much more: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3572683/A_10_Super_Hog.html#Post3572683
  20. Try hitting left control and P together
  21. Here's a thread that discussed the mav loadouts. http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=223625
  22. I usually start out by cycling both throttles all the way to max and then back to off before moving to idle. When you initially move it forward the sim visual won't show it move. It should after returning it back to the off position.
  23. On second thought I guess the KA-50 might be more survivable (if he sees the threat). The pilot can simply land the chopper and run for cover and let the bird get shot up. :music_whistling: The A-10 doesn't have that option. (except for ejecting)
