  1. Just wanted to give an update, I went with the rubber bands and its night and day different. The pedals now have enough force where it feels like I am pressing in a clutch of a car; and with the damper its really a smooth feel. There is no "bounce-back" on return to center even when completely letting off when full deflection.
  2. Do we have an ETA on the official texture template yet?
  3. That's actually an awesome idea. I am going to give that a shot! Thanks man!
  4. Does anyone know of stiffer springs or a mod to increase the tension? I am using the Damper Mod but the standard springs just aren't strong enough.
  5. You cant copy and paste between two missions, and each flight has their own flight plan, ei. attacking different locations, different roles, etc.
  6. Would it be possible to add in the ability to manually input coordinates for waypoints? - See the picture I created as an example. Why would this be beneficial? - This would give mission creators the ability to quickly input exact flight plan waypoints from other people by copying and pasting from a text document; versus, trying to drag a waypoint to a location. How will this impact users positively? - In a large unit such as CSG-2, where on any given Saturday, there are 25-30 people flying in a single 2-3 hour mission. Having to manually enter waypoints while on deck is time consuming, and with the current Nimitz, there are limited spawn points and with server desync and the unfortunate deck sliding on immediate spawn it can be extremely demoralizing having to redo everything after blowing up due to desync (this is not a knock on ED, I personally do not know of any multiplayer game that doesn't run into desync from time to time). Also having pilots input waypoints in a holding stack after takeoff and before departing for the mission, adds more time onto already long missions for some users. For this reason, CSG-2 Flight leads submit flight plans to the mission creator to pre-load waypoints into each flight package to limit time on deck and to facilitate quicker on target times. Any other reasons? - It would add in a nice to have feature and give mission creators the exact center point for waypoint '0', or a units spawn point for Preplan Mission Targets.
  7. I use 4 of these in my build: http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=94&products_id=180 You can't go wrong here. Super simple to use and 99% idiot proof. If you are using Encoders, save yourself a little heart ache and make sure to start each encoder on an odd number and keep them together in the layout. Example, 1 encoder will have 3 wires, input 1/ground/input 2. Assign these on the board as B1 (Input 1), B1 Ground, B2 (Input 2). The next button or encoder will start on B3. Best to start encoders at the beginning or make sure you record their locations/button number because you will need to use a program provided as a download for the board to recognize the inputs as Encoder pulses. This board also does not require any matrix or advanced cross hook-ups. Click on the instructions tab to see how simple it really is to use. And, I know you said cheap, this one is a little more expensive, but you can have cheap or idiot proof... think of the extra little bit as a convenience charge... :)
  8. Mods, If this is in the wrong forum location, please move it, thanks. All, How do I create a multi-function keybinding when using a single Off-On Toggle Switch, that in the game has a switch cover on it. For example, the F-18 has a spin recovery on the right side that is a guarded toggle switch. I would like to switch the toggle switch ON and have it raise the cover and toggle the switch, and then when the switch is released, it toggles the switch down and closes the cover. I was able to get the key bindings to work with an (On)-Off-(On) switch, as seen in the below lua code, but I have been unable to figure out the script for a single on off switch. { down = ctrl_commands.SpinRecCover, up = ctrl_commands.SpinRec, cockpit_device_id = devices.CONTROL_INTERFACE, value_down = 1.0, value_up = 1.0, name = _('ALT Spin Recovery Switch Cover - OPEN'), category = {_('Instrument Panel')}}, { down = ctrl_commands.SpinRec, up = ctrl_commands.SpinRecCover, cockpit_device_id = devices.CONTROL_INTERFACE, value_down = 0.0, value_up = 0.0, name = _('ALT Spin Recovery Switch - NORM'), category = {_('Instrument Panel')}},
  9. @Flamin_Squirrel, you looking to switch out from the Throttletek too?
  10. Jim, There are several ways, or well several different boards... 2 of the most popular ones in the DCS community are... Arduino Boards (https://store.arduino.cc/usa/) - if you like programming and want to saving a little money... Or, Leo Bodnar (http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=94) - if you want basically plug and play capability, but it will cost you a little bit more. I personally use these, I have multiple of them all running my pit.
  11. Please reconsider the selling of the throttle separately, I already have a very expensive Virpil Base and I am not looking to replace it. I am only in the market for the throttle without the panel, as I fly in a full cockpit.

  13. 179mm x 142mm x 13mm See this topic page 12, post #120
  14. Hey can anyone provide me the measurements/scale, my local 3D printer place said they are not included and they need them to do the job.
  15. How do I go about ordering the UFC printed?
  16. What is the status of the extension? This is the only thing currently keeping me from ordering.
  17. 4-way Arcade Joystick, https://www.arcadespareparts.com/arcade_parts/joysticks/arcade_joystick_controller/13328.html Up/Down = Pull/Stow Left/Right = Rotate Left/Right I use the 4 of these for Gear, Hook, Parking Brake, and Wing Fold... For the Hook and Gear I use it in the 2-way configuration for Up/Down only.
  18. Deadman also has some in his shapeways shop. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/a-10c-warthog-supplies
  19. Its (not technically) messed up, it is displaying in Degree Decimal Minutes (DDM) by default now. If you want it to display in Degree Minutes Seconds (DMS) like the last version you need to change it in the HSI settings... HSI > Data > A/C, then on the bottom right "LAT LN SEC/DEG" this will change the coordinates from DDM to DMS, example: N 43° 35.9873 E 39° 29.1238 to N 43° 35' 59" E 39° 29' 07" If you select HSI > Data, on the bottom left "PRECISE" will give you decimal seconds for precision waypoints.
  20. Anyone else having issues with NVGs in the F-18... For me they seem to be too far apart and not centered, but up to the right / up to the left... Does anyone know how to move the location the NVG display?
  21. Could be, try to isolate the fault by removing all but 1 pot and then going from there. Maybe a single wire thread is crossing into the other input?
  22. I am using 3 of the BU0836X and 2 of the BBI-64. It sounds like you might have miss-aligned the wires... If you are using a On-Off-On, make sure you have the top wire with assigned to say B01, the middle wire assigned to "B01's GND", and the bottom wire assigned to B02. The next On - Off - On switch will start at B03. Its possible you wired it into the GND. I had this issue and it took me hours to find it. Also, once you think the wire is seated and locked in, give it a good little tug and see if it pops out, sometimes it doesn't fully lock the wire into place and will give you a faulty connection.
  23. This was posted a while back, and it this has some of the required hat switches https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3452944
  24. That's great, I guess you should keep her... :) The TPRs are heavy but will require some form of stable mounting. Something like that piece of MDF you are using for your Saitek/Logitech Pro Pedals. If you do decide to go the TPR route, I highly recommend the damper mod: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=233405
