Exelent news....but...i dont want to sound anal.... where is the MIG 29 6DOF pit and the new exfernal model. never mind Afm/pfm. All this effort and still NO ubdate for this aircarft. Dissapointing. Truly.

What we need in DCS is a dedicated HUMAN AWACS/GCI slot/module. At this time its very random what people do on servers that run PvP. This will need a complete reworked radio system. For all aircraft and ground units. At this time the balance is in for the F15 in most case since datalink on the SU/MiG is broken/creates huge lags. So when ever this function is fixed your RWR will be almost last resort. The person(s) responsible for your safety will need to call you back to sam/fighter umbrella and/or direct CAP or Intercept flight toward you. Best way to IFF at this time is TS and luck :)

Military secrets are hard to come by and even harder to make public. Unless ED has a contract where part of the contract specifys that the public can have access to it (a-10c) then its a no go. Sad but thats the reality of it... being a mig29 fan it breaks my hart....

We may dream on... ED has all info on the 9.12 apart wind tunnel data. Will we see it at a DCS level? Nope... same goes for allmost all jets in the russian airforce. Belive me i would be over the moon if ANY mulitrole modern(90s onward) russian jet could come out....

G940!!! Find a electrician who is good with solding and ask him to rewire the throtle upper wheels and buttons. it has a design flaw where the wire gets worn out and you will get the spike problem. But yeah like trackir once u try it you never go back

One thing with this parachute... if you deploy it over 300km/h it will detach from the airframe. Breaks.. :)

I like to see more and more of this. wanted do organise one but personal stuff (gf) got in the way. When the grim late autums and winter hits ill give it a another shot. Events like this will teach pilots the true skills. No airquake...no taxi take offs and a lot of team work. In the end Im sure the 51st won by team work SA and setting ambushes. Not by camping in the mountains.

I have this HOTAS as well and apart from haveing the spike issue on the throtle its great for me. I asked a apliance electrisan to rewire the throtle with better cable and the pedals too. Well worth it. The allergic issue.... well... yeah windex window cleaner and/or light weight gloves ;)

Hello 104th can you let me know why the EWRs and AWACSs been disabeled in the missions? That is an integral part of their systems. If they are due to ghost contacts maybe a 3-4h mission rotation with restart will do the job? I know the eagle drivers find it unfair... but they are more than capable to deal with it. This started out as a simple disscusion.... and it is now FLAME WAR!!! Again may i add. So we had this over and over again and it always ends in the same way. Is there space for impovments? Yes. Is it going to be reallistic? Nope. (Military secrets are what they are... hard to come by) Im sure with the intruduction of the comming models the ordanace in DCS will have a major overhaul. With the Mig21 and the Eurofighter im confident that incoporating those weapons that they carry ED has to have a good look on all wepons. Let me remind all of you that we were bitching about server crashes and CDs. Have they fixed it? Yep...they did. Only once in a while we get a CD but the servers are holding. So if you are new to the game get used to it... its always gonna be like this unless some big game publisher buys them out. And then we are in deep crap. But as far the missiles go... I remember that the C was too deadly...and it got dumbed down according to the community. Maybe...im always on the receving end of it. So if thats the case Im sure that both family of missiles R27s and R77s can be improved. Since we wont get our hands on the real data for the present missiles in a way its make belife. Yes i like to have the real data and fly with that.... but i wont... and you neither. So wait and be patient. Good things are comming but it may come in a bad packaging. I would still support some sort of donation scheme to give a tenner once a month away... yes i know buy the products...been there done that! I would speculate that once the MP is rock solid with datalinks atc overhaul(what happend to that) and the implemention of a dynamic campaign pilots will see the lure in the MP enviroment. And then and only then we will see the major improvments. Even missiles! Dont take it too serious enjoy the game... it will only get better!

Its so simple people. There has been a debate about this before and it comes down to this: if you fly on a PvP server in any air craft you have became a LEGIT TARGET. most of you have seen me in my pretty mig (yes im a migoholic) and a good few times i got nailed by a hog/frog and once even by a KA simply becouse i got gready and "im gonna go guns guns guns on him". now as Frostie said fighters only on one side and muders on the other... well... those are newbies and/or frag warriors with a smal p. The whole thing comes down to mission builders and the stability of missions. Slowly they improve.... So by not shooting down opfore air asset is an automatic fail as a fighter pilot. Thats your job and your only job. There is a gentelmans option.... intercept... fly to his 9 and send a ....pilot dropp wepons and rtb. You have 20sec to comply. And to pressure him/her a warning shot with guns. If no complyance take precedant take one engine out.

Can we please have on the red side migs green-olive and the brown-green skins? Pretty please. They really blend. Maybe give the f15s the agressor skin too? Those look pretty awsome.... thanks... ;)

Few things... The mig at this time cant cruise above 12000m for a long time. We usualy have minimal burners on and at that altitude fuel wont run out quick.... but we dont go up there 9out of 10...there is no need for it really. The mig29c is a short-medium range interceptor/front line fighter. Its deployment is no more than 100km from where the shit hits the fan. No need for large fuel quantity. Diffrent aproach is needed for this bird. Understand that the migs are very dependent on GCI/datalink. Thats how they were designed. Hence the weak radar. Now the EOS system is a diffrent ballgame. And its main weapon the R77 has been subject to so many flame wars and SPECULATION that its just stupid. being a dedicated mig pilot i can tell you that if u know what ths ac is capable to and you practice its better then the 27 and some regards better then the 15. Saying that is has huge flaws agints those ac. Learn to exploit the weaknes i the other ac and focus on what the mig excels in. learn fuel managment... practice radar operation... always fly with a wingman. the 59th squadron is usualy flying on the 104th and 51st. We have cleaned house not once aginst many eagle drivers. No 6dof? Use proper neck mod...and i will say this... ED leaves the best for the last ;)

It always boils down to this. The amraam is better and there are manuals and what else. I personaly like to see these but its... classifed. Which brings me to this: america has always liked to show off what they have and this in some respect a way forward. The ruskies on the otherhand.... even the r77 and the offsping of that tech is under speculation. So.... lets stay with GAME bvr tactics and missiles. No point speculating about real stuff. If we EVER to find out some one didnt do its job...

I guess this is 1vs1 BVR... i agree with Frostie that 2 Eagle with a stack formation scaning in a pre determined direction and altitude spread out is a close enough kill.... same goes for any ac btw. The golden rule: one fighter is a dead fighter. Always fly with a wingman. Have him on coms with you. 120c are good but not god. Simple way of defeating them in a mig or su: Even if you dont see him on radar/eos your rwr will tell you all. At 3/4 streght you are at max lunch range. Start beaming... at full minus 3 time to notch. If u are in stt lock expect the first bird in the very second. Keep an eye on the signal sternght. If you can return fire with ET or a 77. Turn away from amraam full ab and get altitude.put it on your 4 and after 4 sec(still hard manuvers) on your 8... if the signal strengt stops increaseing turn find target and adapt to the next.... this offcoruse is a lot mor complex and does not cover ECM ,terrain, datalink starting altitude. Best is to find someone whom you can fly with and practice. Use the ac strenghts and keep in mind the weaknes.

Logitech g940 after spending some time and money to rewire the throtle so fix the wire ware down i can say that this is a super HOTAS. the force feedback makes flying more hand on :)

Havent watched the track but it maybe the following problems: in bore mode you can only lock target in the circle by pressing lock in vertical mode it requries you to have lock pressed until a target locks up and it has to be pretty close max 10-15km. Make sure that on the left you have I and T displayed. Thats radar and EOS on. in hmd mode the target can be 20km away but the EOS must be able to see it. You can turn radar on but i would only do this if you are in vvr any ways. Place reticule on target and press lock. hope it helps.
