I only play MP so not sure if this also happens SP Regularly when I pop in on any server, press F6 and you can see missiles traveling underground at ~ -3000ft agl or in space at 500k ft agl, but not actually moving. These things just hang out indefinitely, annoying for people who like to use F6 and possibly seems like a waste of server resources.

  3. Load double mk20 stores on wings auto mode, mfuz vt, UFC QTY >1, Mult (any), and INT >1 and you'll get a ctd every time as soon as you enter the interval.
  4. Using F/A-18 new bug found today where rockets loaded as "BRU-33 - 2 LAU-10 - 4 ZUNI MK71" will only fire 2 rockets instead of the 8 loaded. In brief testing i was able to replicate this with other double racked rockets as well. Track file included brokenrockets.trk
  5. The problem with DCS missiles is that they are not factoring their own planned rates of deceleration into their trajectory planning. Anyone can observe this with a scenario where a target is 90* offset [traveling perpendicular] to the launch aircraft and set options "reaction to threat: none" Launch the missile and watch it manuever very little until its propellant is expended. During the deceleration phase the missiles all begin turning (bleeding energy) which becomes more and more pronounced as the missile gets slower. This rate of deceleration is capable of being calculated, especially against a non-manuevering target. Even a rough attempt at doing so would improve the range and pk of missiles in dcs dramatically.

  8. One other consideration - in real life you may have an inop apu. you could start the airplane up using ground power and a ground air cart. The ground air cart is not modeled in DCS of course. In dcs i use ground power on the a-10 to get the alignment done a bit faster than waiting for the apu to spool. Also allows me to set everything else up for 2-3 minutes without listening to the apu whine.

  11. I've played with plenty of warthog hotas owners who couldn't kill anything without mavericks, or couldnt stay alive longer than 10 minutes in a hostile environment. My opinion is that the $450 you will undoubtedly decide to spend on this stick is not going to make you a better hog pilot.. That comes from learning the sim, and a $25 stick will do the same job.

  13. To save us some time, if we verify that we currently have 1.2.3.9871.38 or earlier versions should we just go ahead and make this change prior to auto-update instead of downloading the update twice?
  14. Try landing at 160 if youre new to the hog. Run your speedbrakes out to full on final approach and maintain that speed all the way in. Chop the power once over the runway and you have plenty of time to ease it on to the ground. Just put it down within the first 1/3 of runway and you're fine.
  15. Piratebay is a great place to find hard to find things as well as a legal place to download freeware of many kinds. Lomac is there but its copyright so downloading it may be illegal depeding on what rule of law you are subject to.. :music_whistling:. The boogerman is gonna getcha! ..

  20. I like it. vbs2 looks like the kind of thing that most of us could not afford, and probably doesn't have multiplayer like dcs does. That said, I'd purchase a submarine addon if it were to come out.
  21. Suggest adding more A10c slots to op watcher a2g. If its gonna be an a2g server might as well have plenty to go around. Ran out tonight in prime time, also ran out of 25-t. Suggest considering the possibility of leaving 1 server the old fashioned fc3+dcs (a2a+a2g) and 1 server a2a. Best server(s) on DCS MP bar none, thanks again for hosting.

  23. Did a simple test with mission editor. Launched aim120b, 120c, 7m all in rapid succession in that order. This was a simple test of range with no target for these missiles to track. Despite being fired third the aim7 passed the 120s and went an additional 3nm before plunging into the sea. I was flying as slow as possible so im certain i didnt travel more than 0.2nm total between launches 1 and 3. I agree that the aim 7 has greater legs currently - but try your own tests if you are skeptical. That said most people start manuevering against launch indications so the aim7 may be worse in mp environments currently.

I don't think missiles should be maneuvering at constant 4g turns during their decelration phase against non-manuevering targets when they are launched with the steering dot in the center of the ase circle, do you? That is precisely what is going on right now. The missile decelerates at a predictable rate and its range and pk would improve greatly if its initial heading on launch already factored that decel into the angle of intercept.
  25. I think y'all really need to look at the deceleration phase for all missiles. The srm's feel better (i agree) because they spend more of their flight time percentage wise in burn mode. The longer a missile spends out of burn the worse it feels in the current version. All missiles even the srm's appear to struggle keeping a lead on their targets as soon as their burn phase is complete. But as long as the rockets are burning they are all doing great maitaining an impact trajectory.
