  1. Different engine, different engine management system, slightly different flight model.
  2. The Wingtips tank mod is self contained, you only need to at the store lines.
  3. ST Binaries are being depreciated, as MT matures and more items are coded for MT.
  4. Thank you guys for the responses.
  5. Apologies, let me rephrase. The Announcement has no effect on the module's current state (Future State, yes, current state no.) Which is why I'm asking, why users that purchased and was flying the module with no problem a month ago, are now saying they can't fly the module due to the dispute. The Module didn't magically have a stroke just because it wasn't actively being developed during the patch cycle. That's all I'm asking, I'm fully aware of the status of bugs, and what halted development / support means for future state and issues. However, that is not the case for right now, and the current DCS Build. As for "Radio Silent" Rumors, they are just that, rumors. And I Doubt anyone would be communicating w/ former employees, the contract with between ED<>RB, not ED and RBs employees directly.
  6. Why is everyone acting like the F-15E is gone? It's still functioning the same as it was prior to the disagreement being public, it's not like it was removed or disabled. Even if there was no disagreement, there's no guarantee there would be updates with every patch, especially new features and/or major fixes..
  7. That type of response really isn't warranted. no one should be telling anyone not to come to the forums.
  8. I don't even think I have skype anymore, as I transitioned to Microsoft Teams for all my communications for work related things, Why would I need to check my Skype sir? I have not been a moderator for years, so i wouldn't be able to assist with account issues.
  9. If it ever came down to that, the Aircraft would not simply be removed quietly, ED would make an announcement the same way they did with the Hawk T.1A. Even then, the Aircraft would remain in the CoreMods for AI regardless.
  10. More like, not to cross post and try to throw a log on the fire for something else.
  11. That literally doesn't mean anything.
  12. Just because RB have stated they halted work, does not mean the module will be discontinued, I don't know where anyone got that conclusion from, changes made after the VEAO departure protect modules from any form of rapid discontinued support.
  13. Negotiations are ongoing, until otherwise stated, that's the current status. I would encourage users to not read into the angry rant posts on social media, regardless of who they came from (Current or Former RB employees). As for disclosing in a Newsletter, No Business actively discloses internal affairs in a product newsletter to customers. Once ED and RB come to an agreement, regardless of the direction, ED will likely then make an announcement regarding status / future support.
  14. Just letting everyone know, I have not forgotten about ya'll. the app is in daily development on my end, most of the issues with the last public build have been fixed, and other things completely re-vamped. The next public release isnt scheduled until June likely, As the app is also developed and maintained to aid testers, there are some functions that are integrated into the app that are not in the release version of DCS. The change log is extensive between the October build and now. On top of finding a suitable host so I can re-enable the auto update function, I am also looking into 2 separate deployment paths, one for testers and one for the public that way there wont be such a long wait.
  15. Global AI Pathing is prolly not as hard as you think, considering you can export all the roads/railways from Google Earth into a file that can be converted easily to Terrain4 Engine DCS uses now, can also export water layers for ship pathing. The dev time for the global map is likely resource management, and assets. There's already plugins in the interwebz that allow interfacing Google Earth Pro with DCS, though in early stages, a lot of things still didn't work 100% last time I checked on it, Photogrammetry of a lot of things being one of them. Once the Globe is done, wouldnt be surprised if the HQ Area's are put overtop of them, however, for things like historical maps (ww2, korea etc), keeping them separate would likely work better, you don't wanna fly a mission over Europe then magically pass through a barrier into modern Europe.
  16. 75% of that explosion in the OP is dirt and concrete and not pyroclastic.
  17. They dont have computers powerful enough to run DCS, we're safe.
  18. Is everyone running their correct Native resolution? or Rendering 1080P and then Fullscreen stretching to their 4K Screen?
  19. right now there is no way to scan and set the device IDs properly, I'm still looking for the exact formula DCS uses in the LUA file. The app pings WMI/DXGI for the device info, and on my system it returns all the devices, but the Device IDs do not match what DCS Puts in the LUA Files. Down the road maybe, once I figure out how DCS is pinging the system for devices. DCS Uses {Variables}{DSGUID} So far no output option I've seen in Win32_SoundDevice Class outputs the DSGUID.
  20. none, game folders are supposed to be exempt,. otherwise every file loaded into memory is going to be scanned as well as processes.... kills performance.
  21. it wasn't something that made it through that shouldn't have. it was something that was reported, and adjustments were made based on feedback, but as stated already, one setting isn't ideal for everyone, and different displays etc etc, which is why a slider option is being suggested. going off topic and after the testing team wasn't needed, as most of the team also mentioned the initial implementation of the reflections were too strong, and that as well as feedback, led to discovery of the reflections rendered twice (realtime and baked textures). But as stated, it's new, and requires some tweaking based on a wider audience pool
  22. Note: "fixed internally" does not mean "it will be in the next patch". As that fix may or may not be waiting for other elements to be integrated as well. That being said, the real-time ray traced reflections are new, and need time to mature. what looks good on a $5000 CAD Monitor might not always look good on a consumer monitor. P.S. Reflection resolution is set by the user's settings.
